posted a message on Animania: Immersive Animals and Pets mod that improves the passive animal experience in Minecraft

Hey guys! Really liking this mod with Harvestcraft. Between orchards, fields, and critters, even the deserts bloom. One question. I have a world with a really huge canyon that I walled off for critters. Do the animals HAVE to fed and watered from troughs, or can they use ponds and planted fields for food? The idea is start a breed and release program for an otherwise desolate area of this world. What? I'm a builder.

Just checking in to see if you're still alive. As some one who lives with that four letter word (WORK) I understand slow progress at times. One of my favorite adages is: Life is what happens if you made other plans. Keep up the good work.

Still lovin' it! Wish my poor 5 year old computer had the power to make films. I'd do a showcase for you.

Some time ago in the Waaaayyy back, someone enchanted a compass into a magnet. It was cool to climb out of a mineshaft and literally drag home a full pack, plus the saplings, eggs, and apples that got sucked up along the way. Can't really remember how it was enchanted, but the range could be stretched from 3 blocks to fifty, IF you had the enchanting tools. Just an idea for a later upgrade.

The configuration is Minecraft Forge based, so there is the GUI method as well as the standard JSON configuration file. Unfortunately, it only contains a list of block drops that should be multiplied, not a way to edit mob drops (e.g. add bones to mob drops).

No biggie. I'm just a believer in the Use the Whole Animal concept. In the real world a two year old steer gives about 1000 pounds of meat, about 200 pounds of bone, and enough leather to make boots and a tunic. Bones make great tools from knife handles to needles, and if nothing else, are cool backdrops for scrimshaw. Even the inedible parts feed dogs or fertilize soil.

By the way, love the sheep. The ram's horns would make a great shofar. So...how do I get into the GUI?

    posted a message on Logical Drops (1.7.10 - 1.12)

Just stumbled over this mod and all I can say is FINALLY! I play in peaceful 99% of the time and only kill my critters when absolutely necessary. I also grew up in farming communities, so yes, three streaks for killing a whole cow? Riiiiiiiight. Where I live, even the intestines feed dogs. All parts get used either as food or crafting supplies. My only other logical addition to the drops would be bones. One for small critters like rabbits and chickens, up to 10 for cows and horses. And maybe the option of using bone handled tools. You'd be surprised how cool carved or scrimshawed handles can be.

I'll shut up and download now.

Great addition! I play peaceful mode 99% of the time. Instead of adding new trees, try creating dirt by mixing things like cactus, dead bush, leaves, sticks, with sand, water, maybe bone meal or seeds to create a grass block. instant farming. Then add back the old, old, OLD mechanic of a sapling occasionally sprouting when bone mealing a grass block. Wood acquired.

posted a message on [1.10.2/1.11.2]Block Commands----Powerfull Script/Command Block Mod Both for mulitplayer and singer players.

This would be HUGELY useful if I were a coder. How would you write a command for peaceful mobs like sheep and cows to drop bones as well as meat? Or how about eggs dropping one bone meal when not dropping a chick?

To add to that, 10pak of Plant Mega Pack has come back to minecraft. Put this WIP mod with that, and I'll have the most beautiful gardens.

    http://10paksmods.net/

10pack is back? WOO HOO! Hey, Erinbutt, here's another one you can ask for advice. One of the things you could specialize in, perhaps, is flowering mosses or spreading ground cover. Imagine castles and mansions with colorful variations of Mossy Cobblestone and Mossy Stone bricks. Spreading plants like climbing roses, honeysuckle, trumpet vine, wisteria, flowering clover could grow on fences. Creeping alyssum, edelweiss, common spreaders like Iris, daffodil, daisy, day lily, most come in all different colors, and make gorgeous variegated fields and manor yards. Plus they haven't been made yet, so no competition with other mods or possible ID conflict. We could also do with colorful trees like scarlet maple, desert Willow (or any weeping willow), or at least some kind of vine like cover that can be added to common trees as a flower decoration. These won't have to grow. But they will make pretty orchards. Flower seeds are another thing Pam got me addicted to. And separating the different flower and food beds with glow flowers make spectacular night scenes. In the end, it's your mod. Minecraft is the only place I can make flowers grow. I'm not kidding; in real life I kill the un-killable plants. XD

Cool! Decorations! My gardens and orchards haven't looked the same since Wee! Flowers! and Plant Mega Pack went out of business. If I may offer these requests: flowering vines, glow flowers, and flowering trees. Impatiently waiting for downloads. One person you may consult is Pam Collins of Pam's Mods. She taught herself mod coding and Java. Maybe she can give you some advice.
