I don't have much of an FPS problem, so I sent it to a friend. He has a Mac and gets about 15 FPS. His jumped up to 28. This is around 30-40% I believe.

This is a mod for people who have trouble playing minecraft at a decent FPS. It increases your FPS by changing the way minecraft handles rendering entities. The mod is currently in it's first version, does not require ModLoader or anything like that, but isn't very compatible with other mods. You install it by simply removing META-INF and placing the class files inside. Please post your before and afters, and any feedback. Thanks a lot! Here's the download link:

I recently bought a server with half a gig of ram and 100mbit connection. It seems to be working very quick, with no lag whatsoever. I am paying $3.80 a month for it, and I can use any amount of slots I'd like. I have it set for 24, though, to prevent lag.
I recently switched over from Mooshroom, which was $11 a month for the exact same thing with slower connection, so I am getting a great deal.
One question though, does anybody know any other hosts that can do it for cheaper? I'm tight on cash now.

I know about survey sites. I'm just saying this one in particular looks weird. Also, I have made upwards of $100> on survey sites (through referral programs, I really don't do to many surveys/offers)

but this site involves surveys and those are annoying. however, i think it is probably real seeing as A: site owner gets paid for surveys and they can use that money to get a giftcode, and B, my other friend Ashley says she got minecraft from it. i am starting to believe it

Ok. I found a website for free minecraft accounts, and I immediately thought scam. All my friends are posting about it on facebook, and I thought they were hacked or something. But one day, my friend Seth called me IRL and asked if I wanted to play minecraft with him. I said sure, but I asked when he got minecraft because I had asked him before and he said he didn't have it. He said he got it from the site everyone was talking about on facebook! We played a little bit in my server but now I'm here.
Seth never lies and he's a really honest person. But because I'm a little iffy about the site and I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to post links, I wont. But do you guys think it is a real site?

Back in April, notch talked about a modding API.
While in reality, the modding API will be little more than a full source copy backed with a liscence, it is a very exciting feature. Is it possible that the API is going to be released in 1.9? Earlier speculations proved wrong, as they thought it would come in 1.8 (They thought was waiting for all those features so it didn't have to be remade again after 1.7.3.)

Since 1.9 is also going to bring in a boatload of features, could it be the release date for the long-awaited modding API, or will it be another long session of waiting?
Discuss your ideas, and hopefully we can get Notch to release it =)
