Before I actually owned Minecraft I had found it on Youtube. I was absolutely obsessed with it, because at the time I hadn't even downloaded steam so I had no idea about the survival/crafting games. The sad part about it is that I did a lot of research about the crafting recipes and everything else, so sadly I never had any "noob days". But in my actual first survival world I had found a village seed online and I used it. Despite knowing a lot about the game, I as lazy and didn't want to do any of the actual work. I was in and out of creative mode spawning in stuff, it was really boring. By the end I had a large cobble wall around around the whole thing and a whole bunch of potion stuff. Keep in mind that I never even found a diamond or more than a stack of Iron.

My sister and I got Minecraft at the same time so we made a random world and put it up on Lan. We had several problems. But before I even told her about the game I had done so much research so I didn't have the normal "I didn't know the recipes" story. But my sister and I still had some terriblely hilarious moments. LIke the first time we made a bed, my sister slept in it and then suffocated in the roof. Also my sister wanted to farm "SO SO BADLY" as she says. So she set up a little farm, the problem was we were in a Taiga biome meaning the water kept freezing. She would literally sit out there all night and continuously breaking the ice. But by far the worst moment was when we finally found out first cave. We hadn't yet gotten our settings at where they would work at their best. So when we ran into pools of lava we had an enormous amount of lag and then I died from a Skeleton and she fell in lava. It may not sound that noob-ish but it's the best either of us can do.

Can you combine two books of the same type to upgrade the enchant like you can with tools? Here's an example: If I had an Unbreaking II Book and an Unbreaking I book, could I put them together and make an Unbreaking III Book?
Personally I feel it only matters to you what is cheating. But for me personally, when I want to play survival I use no commands. But like I said it's always up to you. That's the beauty of Minecraft, you can do what ever you want.
Why does it have to be a server? Why can't you just give out the map like most others do? Now I can't play it because my computer can't run .bat servers. It's just over complicated to do it the way you're doing. Also it's probably a lot smaller of a download. I'm not trying to be rude but can you please just give out the map?
