posted a message on Which minecraft is better ? jave or win10 version ?

Personally I prefer the Java edition. I much like the mobile editions, which Windows10 resembles. However I prefer and can do more in the Java edition.

    posted a message on Impatience

I believe the impatience comes from, when the new version was released, and all the beta versions until the final release. People want to believe that as soon as the new version is announced, the creators of texture packs and mods should already be working on their updates. However those people fail to realize how many changes get made until the final release.

Impatience has become a major factor and some people these days don't have any patience. They want it and they want it now. As if they are entitled. If this continues it will be a generation of well crybabies.

posted a message on Unable to start the Minecraft Runtime Environment?

In the folder where you have the minecraft icon you click on to start the game. DO you see a Game and runtime folders? if so try deleting those and try running the .exe file again. It should redownload those folders and thus giving you a clean install.

posted a message on Help Me Support Minecraft Wikis About Different Operating Systems

Its not about NOT supporting you. Its about the documentation has already been done.

    http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Setting_up_a_server

Here is a good example. We all love the idea of helping other achieve the same thing you are. However when there are multiple areas where the documentation already exists, we don't need redundancy.

All the power to you for wanting to create it and I personally like your enthusiasm, however if it has already been written maybe focus on something that isn't or much harder to find by searching.

posted a message on Help Me Support Minecraft Wikis About Different Operating Systems
No it is not. Minecraft is WAY different on different operating systems. And BTW, this article is ONLY[/b] for discussing this topic, please. I do not want to argue with anyone.

Hello you state that Minecraft is WAY different on different operating systems. Can you name the differences. I play on Windows, Mac and Linux and personally I can tell you I can play on all 3 systems with the same key arrangement. Minecraft is a Java based game that runs on all 3 major systems with little to no difference in play.

Now if you are talking about setting up a server there are a bit differences between setting up a server.

Please explain a little more in detail in what you are looking to do.

posted a message on Money Money Money
I don't charge people anything to play on my server - I don't have a bump up system - I don't even have a rank for donated players (what for) I offer my server because I needed a place for my kids to play and for them to play with other kids. Yea.. theres a donate button on our website - but there is no in game purchased that have to be made or must be made in order to get a higher rank. Yea.. someone has to pay the bill in the end for the server maintenance. You know what thats me. I am the one that decided to put up a server for all these kids. Im the one that decided that its going to cost me $x amount every month, and like I said yes there is a donate button on our website, and if you want to contribute thats well and dandy and we thank you. However we don't rely on it. Why should we. If we didn't want to do it for the kids, they why do it in the first place.

posted a message on Server for young kids 5yo and up ?
    Quote from duckworth397

I also have a 5 year old who I have been playing local network games with for the last year. I am also looking for a friendly server for kids. Let me know if you start one or find one that is decent.

Thank you all for your kind posts - I have decided to start my own company that will focus on the little ones. 3 and up. I have started a server called The Learning Ladder MC - the server will available once I figure out some good ideas for activities for the little ones - followed by YouTube videos with 'how to'. If anyone is interested in this server please let me know.
