    Found a small cresent island with a small ravine leading to underground waterfall @ x:-430 z:430



    Found a overhang with waterfall on coast, region of overhangs and cliff formations: pic taken at x:-344 z: 675

    Lots of interesting rock formations, islands, a bit of surface iron near likely spawn area. Lots of caves and erosion. Interesting overhangs etc.

    1) Enemy mobs Are Invisible :Sheep:
    and have no Audio. Known

    2) Spawn-Point is at chunk (0,0) : player re-spawns at (8.5,64,8.5). Instead if at point/chunk defined in Level.dat.

    3) Floor-plates are buggy again ( although buttons still work ) * this might be a local thing because i swear they were working at start of New version test-session.

    4) Fall-distance that has previously been counting up due to no fall damage causes all players to log in on the new version to crater straight away, dying instantly.

    5) Sheep do not show 'shaved' version after being hit. Known.

    This has happened to me too. My 'outpost' portal also makes me appear in the same Nether-Portal as my home-base, its frikkin miles away. The system before worked fine, although you had to dig-out/build a platform if the Nether-Gate area was unsuitable. The linking system should work as before but the Nether-Gate simply carves-out and builds a suitable landing zone to match 1st time.

    GateA -> NetherA
    NetherA -> GateA

    but

    GateB -> NetherA.

    WTF

    It was the "Halloween Update" not the "Architects Update". Monsters, The Nether, Portals, Oh My!

    I've bitten the bullet and gone ahead with using boosters in my minecart system (I was also waiting for powered mine-carts to improve).

    Chairs are pretty useless ATM seeing as you cant actually sit. Also, 'Chairs' are already constructable with current parts (Steps and signs). There are a lot of things you can create using the current block-set.

    And the obligitory : "It Isn't finished yet"

    Armor doesn't really help. A zombie can pummel you to death in 4 hits and yet (when you retrieve it) your Iron armor is absolutly fine.

    You didn't pay for the game, you paid for a cut-price, early-access to the ongoing Alpha

    Alpha : Main features fleshed out, many features unimplemented and or placeholder. Bugs. Zero Gurantees.
    Beta: All features implemented if not totally finished (some placeholder), bug-testing and balancing phase. No "Show-stopping" bugs.
    Release: All features implemented and no place-holder art. Game balanced and bug-free.

    Frankly, if anything, when killed your stuff should just be gone. The fact that you have a chance to recover your stuff is a nice bonus.

    Yer, i'd like to have an option to change the day/night cycle (not linked to difficulty)

    Current : 20min Full Day/Night.

    Extras :

    60min Full Day/Night: 1hr = 24hrs in game.
    Perpetual Day: Peaceful only?
    Perpetual Dusk: Mobs spawn but there is still light enough to work.
    Perpetual Night: For apocolyptic atmosphere.

    Realtime *: 24rs RL = 24Hrs Game (un-synchronised realtime)
    Actual-Time: Time of day = actual time of day (synchronised realtime). - Would be good for SMP.

    *Would benefit from a Sleep feature (if beds get added) so a player can skip to dawn if desired.
