Hi there. I fired up Tekkit which I haven't played in a long time, and because I had started a new world the map that already existed was a mess. I did /dynmap fullrender, and it fixed the flat map. I tried doing /dynmap fullrender world:surface but it says the render is already in progress. Is there a way for me to just delete the map so it starts over? I don't remember how I installed dynmap and am afraid to take it out since I'm running tekkit 3.1.2 (I'm not sure anyone even plays it anymore). I looked through your older versions of dynmap but I'm not really sure which one is the right one, as I'm not sure which version of dynmap I'm using. I think it's 1.0, but don't remember.
Edit: OK, I see I worded this wrong, I did full render and it did the flat map. Then I tried doing the surface map, because that and the cave map were still a mess, but it said that the render was already in progress. I even tried doing this a few days later, with the same result.
On an upgrade, you need to replace all the files with the files from the ZIP. If you've done this, then make sure you've flushed your browser cache (some browsers are quite sticky about caching javascript files, even when told not to). Shift-reload on most browsers will do the trick.
Cool - sorry I didn't get to you before you needed to figure these out
On the last point, I just fixed an issue with a conflict between the new 1.4.2 block models and some of the RedPower block IDs (which, for Tekkit 3.1.2, overlap pretty hard). Pull down the replacement for the rp2-models.txt from here (https://raw.github.c.../rp2-models.txt) and replace the corresponding file in plugins/dynmap/renderdata.
No worries, I thought you answered fairly quickly, as I assume most people do things in real life. I did replace the rp2 models, however marble and rubber wood are still black. It's not really a big deal as I really use the map to keep from getting lost (Oh and stalking my friends, shh don't tell them).
I tried upgrading but had an error with the web file not matching. I downgraded, but I can only access the map locally. I'm running a tekkit server, which says forge but you didn't have an option for forge with minecraft 1.2.5 or tekkit 3.1.2. - (Edit: The bukkit map works for v 1.2.5)
Edit: The problem with accessing locally was my router being a twit. I still cannot run this upgrade though. I assume it's meant to work with tekkit because the blocks in the mods are updated on your map. I am excited to try it as the tekkit blocks are currently just black on the map (as I'm sure you know). Any help is appreciated. Thank you so much for this awesome plugin!
2nd Edit: So apparently, clearing cache is a good idea. ;-) Web file not matching was fixed with this simple little thing I should have thought of. /dynmap fullrender is a useful command as well. Now the only problem that I can see is that some blocks are still black (i.e. marble, rubber wood). Thanks again for this awesome plugin!
So does my Tekkit server share the same bin folder as my regular Mincraft_Server?GhostlyGrin, this is the instructional video I used to set mine up, it's very detailed.
I've just created a Tekkit server, and I'm unfamiliar with how to install plugins on it. I don't fully understand if there is a difference between adding plugins from bukkit is the same as on a regular mc server. On my regular server, I had to edit in the minecraft.jar in the bin folder, but I'm completely confused on what to do with the Tekkit server.
Basically, I just want to add a few plugins like lwc, dynmap, and essentials. I want to stop creepers from destroying blocks, edit permissions such as fire not spreading and not being able to place lava, and lwc. Could someone point me in the right direction? I've been searching youtube but apparently I'm not using the right search because I either come up with results for how to install a Tekkit server, or how to put plugins on a regular MC server.
Thank you all so much for your replies! Mystery Lunch seems like a pretty cool server so far, so I think I'll play here. It seems like a pretty laid back community, and I've never played in a monster arena before, which was a lot of fun! Thanks again for inviting me to your communities.
You sound like a perfect candidate for the Mystery Lunch. I would like to abduct you into my server. We're small, survival oriented, and PVP is only allowed upon consent. I think you would fit right in, so at the very least, come and check us out.
I'm looking for a server to play on that is survival, but without PvP (or at least the option not to participate in PvP). I love to mine, and I love to build. I've been playing minecraft for a couple of years. I'm 33 years old, so it would be great if I could find some fun people to play with that are around my age. I'd also like to find a server that's open 24/7.Oh, forgot to add, my in-game name is just Zenalia.
I honestly don't think it's lag. I'm running 16GB of ram and my internet connection has a dl speed of over 25Mbps. Does the technical team for this game read these forums? I'm wondering why there has been no reply from any sort of moderator. Is there another way I should be reporting these problems?
