Yeah you only need 10 blocks of obsidian and why would you need 24 pieces of leather to make full armor in the "pre-plan materials"? And why use snowballs instead of arrows? And what was mentioned before you forgot to take diamond tools with you (to enchant in the end) a chest to store it and bookshelves and an enchantment table.
So I just wanted to share some thoughts I had lately about minecraft. Remember that this here is more a thread to talk about how to expand Minecraft in direction of more "Sandbox" than a full fleshed idea and I just want to share my ideas and get new insights of you.
So all the time when I read the suggestion forum I keep noticing that most of the suggestions want to implement new items just for the sake of the item (for example emerald armor because there are emeralds and similar things that wont improve the freedom of a player). I really like some linear concepts of minecraft like slaying the enderdragon and such but I would like to see more improvement in another direction.
For example redstone:
even though you might not like redstone or you don't use it that much it added a huge element of freedom to the player because all kind of machines can be made out of it. It would be great to add a similar game element that could do the same like redstone did in my opinion.
I hope you get what I think about although I don't really know how you could do that but I want to list some things that come spontaneously to my mind:
-Make your own paintings:
Somehow you should be able with an ingame feature to be able to make a screenshot of a surrounding area with some kind of photograph device (or something similar in the minecraft style) to make your own ingame paintings. With this you could turn pixel art into paintings or something like that and you would have huge possibilities to make new ingame paintings and such
-Connection with other worlds
If you could connect your own minecraft world with other player worlds via portals. You could trade with the other player, just play together or even have a war with him.
-Magic System
I was inspired by the Thaumcraft mod (and I will probably play it when the new version comes out). Apart from redstone you could make some kind of magic system with which you could make some kind of floating magic blocks (to make airships and floating islands) or even make new weapons and new enchantments.
So these were some ideas I came up with very spontaneously, please remember that I don't ask that these games need to be implemented into the game ( a mod would be fine too) but I just wanted to collect some ideas and discuss them. And I am not native in the English language (but you can tell me which grammar mistake a made
Tis the truth. Jump into creative and load up a dispenser with spawn eggs that aim into the prison, then add a pressure plate by the door entering the building. Throw some redstone to the dispenser and itll throw an egg everytime someone enters, making it look like the zombie is always there. 64 eggs x 9 slots, you should be good for a while without having to load the dispenser often.
Thx for the great idea but I'm playing it legit (or what I define under legit ) hope there is another way to keep the zombie from despawning (maybe theres a trick or something). But Raibidtigers idea is definately a clever one.
So yeah I face a rather unusual problem. We've decided to keep a zombie and a skeleton as prisoner in our home dungeon(for fun ;D ) yeah but the zombie we've caught seems to despawn and a second did too. How can we keep them from despawning (apart from having a low light level)? Help is much appreciated! =)
Thx for the reply and BAW194 your base is nice!
I now made a little list of things I want to finish in the ender base:
-Tree Farm
-Wheat Farm
-Chicken Farm
-Enderman Farm
-Mushroom Farm
and try to make it awesome it will probably be a long time until I finish it but I will post some pictures
but one question still arises do I need to make my floor out of slabs so no endermen can spawn?
Is it possible to grow wheat and stuff? And if I leave the end (either dead or by killing the dragon) and I get back will the base still be there? Thx for the reply and I will check out an enderman farm on youtube.
So I haven't really been to the End until now but I thought about making a base in the end. Is this even possible and what should I think about when I want to finish this successfully?
