    I notice, even though dyable, the soulbone helm and boots don't really change in any appreciable way. For the boots, this is alright I suppose, but it would be lovely if the gem on the soulbone helmet was more visibly effected by dyes. It'd make sense considering the growing gem crystals are dyable.

    I notice that this mod directly interferes with the players ability to utilize the invis potion. Your handglow is visible to others when you hold nothing.


    That said, an Invisibility ability would be interesting. Maybe with a dual benign/unhinged maintain cost (following the logic that benign creatures wish to be left alone, and unhinged creatures seem not of the world, as an invisible person would seem) that, similar to normal invisibility, makes mobs focus on you much less.

    I have a question which might lead into a suggestion if the answer is no.

    Is there a way to smoothly gradiate between color, like, say I have a rod that starts blue, but I want it to end red. aside from manually picking colors from red to red-violet to purple to indigo to blue, is there a way to do this?


    If not, may I suggest an opacity slider feature for the paintbrush/paint roller? Like, when you crouch-rightclick, have an option there for what percent of the current color will be applied. Like, if you have it set to 50%, and the brush is red, coloring over a blue block would get you purple, coloring over a yellow would get your orange.

In my test instance, the focuses provided no effect, still drained vis when used correctly (for instance, MRU infusion would only use vis if I focused on cobblestone. it would not use my UBRMU, not MRU from a full matter of eternity)

    It's been over a year since I bought this up last, and I figured, in playing the mod again, i would like to bring up the issue of tool enchantability. Last it was bought up, close to the start of this mods lifetime, you said it was for balancing reasons. Personally, this strikes me as odd, a lot of these tools are simply lp driven, slightly stronger variants of normal tools, comparable to the mana-driven tools of botania. The inability to be enchanted honestly makes them not worth bothering with. Not to mention the construction costs of some of these items. If one is sinking all of these alchemical regents into a tool, I would say the cost justifies the ability to make it a little more powerful.


    I apologize if I seem persistent in this issue, it just strikes me as a really out of place choice. If there's some technical reason I just don't understand, I guess that's that, but if it's still legitimately a balance issue, I would implore you to reconsider.

    Ahh, thank you very much for the information!


    I have noticed something working not as intended with the mod. if you use the magical enchanter to enchant a book, instead of making a book that lets you apply it's effects to tools (a book with a yellow name), you get a book with a blue name that acts using the enchants themselves. AKA I can slap mobs with a sharpness 5 enchanted book and it does extra damage, but I can't use the same book to actually enchant a sword.



    Also, I've tried some of the focuses from essential thaumaturgy and they don't seem to do anything. Even just stripping my instance down to essentialcraft, essential thaumaturgy, thaumcraft, dummycore, the only focus from ET seems to be the movement one. the others drain vis from the wand but don't animate or effect anything. Is this typical, or am I experiencing something weird here?

    Is there any way to tell the current espe in something like the wind rune? I can, of course, see if I have enought to create an item currently in hand, but I mean the current total?


    If there isn't, can I get an estimate on how long it would take to generate the 10k espe needed for a wind diamond?

    Also, since it seems a wind tool just instantly becomes another wind tool, is there logically any reason to go for anything other than making the wind shovel, since it seems to just turn into all the other tools when needed?

    The recent update and addition of life infused armor is pretty neat! I would like to make a small suggestion with it though, maybe have it synergize with the empowered amulets, like when they are in container mode, they empty their buffer into the armor?

    I got this crash 3 times in a row interacting with a modular storage thingie, seems to be finicky in how it crops up. one time I was moving a thaumcraft ring, another time I was moving a portable crafting station from gany's surface, another time I pressed "o" when not typing in search to hide NEI (this crash report is from that crash)

    Edit: A question I have myself, I notice in my custom pack, the sigil of compression doesn't work with thermal foundation nuggets/ingots/blocks. Has anyone else run into this? Searching for "thermal" in this thread doesn't show any results, but the search function on this site is not very reliable

    The mod you are looking for is Iguana Tweaks for tinker's construct, also currently maintained by tcon maintainer, Boni
    It will allow you to do what you are asking, and much more, make sure you configure it to your liking

    Oh, also, to mention, it doesn't allow you to directly disable tool types, but you can disable the ability to craft vital components for making them. Can't have a hammer if you can't make hammer heads of any type, right?
