Just a simple trance-ish remix of Wet Hands from the Minecraft OST. Not quite finished with it, but I like how it's turned out so far. Please feel free to voice your opinion as I put this together in my freetime and I'm always looking for tips on how to produce better
The server has been online since August 31, 2011 and has been growing in size and popularity at amazing speeds. It has rebuilt itself from the ashes of the recently closed down Van-craft build server. The staff and many of the players thought it was time to open a smaller more dedicated server where we could just play Minecraft with friends and new acquaintances alike. The goal is epic builds, a fun/mature community, and a chance to make some new friends and get your name known in the community.
Our server is building a mature, strong community focused creative server, unlike some of the Minecraft servers today. We play to make amazing structures that we can use to show off the talent of some of our builders.
Users that show an excellence in building have the chance to achieve the "Members+" rank that grants them the access to claim and build on their very own island in the Skylands. This island once completed has the chance to function as the main spawn for a set amount of time. Pretty cool huh?
How does this work?
We keep the community like this by having an application process that isn't overbearing but can help us find members who will be strong community members. This application needs to completed to it's fullest potential for acceptance. Once read and you are accepted you will be added to the servers permissions file giving you the ability to build. Before applying you can connect and survey the map.

The server runs the newest recommended build of Craftbukkit and has a large list of plugins designed to help the individual players out while also keeping griefing to a minimum. Worried about thieves? Lock your chests, and door so those morons can't get in. Someone destroyed your house? No worries! We'll just ban and rollback his actions so that your house reappears before your eyes.
Rules
1. Be respectful to other users and staff.
2. Do not use X-ray, or any other client-sided modifications. (flying is ok)
3. Do not break or place any blocks on another's property.
4. Do not be offensive to anothers race/religious beliefs/sexual orientation.
5. You are free to build anywhere, away from others buildings.
6. Keep your buildings neat and organized.
7. No 1x1 towers, holes, or 2x1 tunnels.
8. Staff has final say on all matters.
All donators will receive a yellow [VIP] tag infront of their name and the following commands based on the amount donated.
$5 - a diamond tool of your choice, superpick and fly.
$10 - a set of diamond tools and a stack of items of your choice (no precious metal ingots or blocks), superpic, and fly
$15 - a set of diamond tools + armor and 3 stacks of items of your choice (no precious metal ingots or blocks), superpick and fly
$20 - a set of diamond tools + armor and 5 stacks of items of your choice (no precious metal ingots or blocks), superpick and fly

I see that the messages are broadcast to all players when they die but I do not see it in my actual log file. Are these broadcast messages simply a trigger or are they logged somewhere? I'm working on some scripts and stuff and figured I'd be fun to keep statistics with some custom scripts extracting from server.log

I don't believe that Vanilla death messages are logged. I may be wrong on that assumption... but I do know that deaths logged with the plugin HeroicDeath do show up in their own separate log. Maybe give that plugin a try? The plugin is listed as [Inactive] but I know for a fact that it works on the latest development versions of Bukkit. Just doesn't log death by Silverfish or EnderDragon.
You need to have a plugin that alters the spawnpoint. Most commandsuites like AdminCmd, Commandbook, and Essentials have this feature and many other useful ones. Try one of those out and it should help your problem. :smile.gif:
You need to first calm down as the people that posted above me are just trying to help. Second, to get your server to "work" you need to leave the server-ip BLANK. You can connect with 127.0.0.1:[port] while your friend(s) connect with your Public IPv4 address.

For the money just use what you stated above, iConomy. It's fairly easy to configure and gets the job done correctly. Download that here : iConomy
As for killing mobs to gain money ingame you can use this simple plugin that works hand in hand with iConomy. MoneyDrop can be downloaded here : Moneydrop
my server ip is 127.0.0.1, i will tell you when the server is overloaded and must be shut down. server compasity is 5. Im sorry its small, it will get WAYY bigger when its the end of the year.
As a "mature" (hubby might say that's questionable) adult, I already love this server! The people that are already there are nice, the whitelist helps to keep random idiots and griefers from showing up, the admins/mods/owners/minecraft gods/people in power have been attentive and helpful... I almost can't believe I get to log into a server that's not a glorified daycare. :smile.gif: I feel like my minecart should have an "I <3 ECS" bumper sticker.

After applying you will receive an email stating whether or not you have been accepted. Please allow this to take some time to process/be sent.
The server runs Bukkit with a selection of plugins to ensure our players don't have to worry about the problems faced in normal SMP. Worried about thieves? Lock your chests, and door so those fools can't get in. TNT is also toned down slightly so that it is effective for mining but useless for griefing.
