I'll see about dipping my hand into designing a logo (if it's cool for a few people to be throwing out ideas for one :smile.gif:). It's what i do for a living... so there's that :smile.gif:
Quick Rune Idea: (no templates, more questioning if it would work)
How's about a Town Portal idea (ripped directly from the legendary Diablo 2)?
Create a central square in the middle of town (or where ever), and have a small personal portal you can build (possibly a 9 square block on the ground) that will allow you to bounce back to town and will stay in tact until you re-travel back through the square in town, then you're personal portal disappears.
I don't really have a way to separate the personal teleporters in case 2 people make them at the same time, but this is just an idea/question (it'll allow for fantastic exploration, both allowing you to come back whenever you want {which i know can be done w/ the personal teleporter rune}, but allows you to get back to the same place).
Maybe a possibility for the miner skill tree?
Addendum: (this just came to me as i was about to submit, a way to separate one TP from another... while in the field)-
Maybe it could be done w/ a key block... you put a block of wood in the center of your TP rune, it brings you to the TP square in town... then to get back, just place the same key block in the center to go back to your rune? (if you try to make a rune w/ a key block that's currently in use, you get a little message saying "The Town Portal you're trying to reach is currently in service. Please try another key block.")
I think it's a neat idea, but maybe too simple? I mean how would you identify the teleport?
I mean, with teleports/waypoints you have the 4 signature blocks, and you would need something like that, for this idea too, wouldn't you?
Maybe this idea could somehow be incorporated into the existing teleports? I mean I really like the idea of using Water as a Teleport Effect, and walking right into it, instead of clicking something.
Maybe some sort of Rune-Standard for Teleports which would be the basis of all teleports, which could then be applied to several different ways of accomplishing the end goal, wall teleports, floor teleports, door teleports, group teleports, that sort of thing. Maybe it'd center around the 4 signature block concept, somehow.
Just throwing random half-ideas out there. lol
Got it!

If secrets are meant to not be found, why make it?
If nobody can use it, he wasted his time, he should be glad people found how to do it, not so glad about the huge leak.. Though he should of expected something like that would happen.
But, the secret IS meant to be found. And people ARE supposed to use it.
The problem? No one is allowed to ruin the fun for other people. And that's what happened.
A donator paid to have a secret rune added to the game, and someone else decided to spread word about it. That's just a new (lower) form of trolling. That's just plain being a ****. And that's the problem.
I think a sphere, or dome, building rune would be cool. The sphere would be made out of Tier 1 materials (Placed in a signature hole) and the size could be based on a tier material (placed in a tier hole).
Ill have to think of a design, though.

Ooo, set this up with the same dimensions as what 'comes with you' with Faith. It'd look like space pods!
I was throwing out the idea that a cheap rune makes a safe place for anyone to store things on an RC server. (since there's no real safety in SMP as of this point, for storing things)
It COULD be made to be a higher class thing (use a gold block on top of the trigger block that gets consumed for the creation of the dirt room, maybe?)... but i was just going for a good, solid, simple idea that fills a need that's completely lacking from SMP (until Notch throws it in, of course :smile.gif:).
I'd like to point out that the 3x3x2 is the x,y,z if you're LOOKING DOWN at it. If you're looking head on, the numbers change order. (2x3x3 if you're looking at it from ground level.)
I hope this is a kosher point (and not too spoilish). When i started trying to built it, i assumed the 3x3x2 was looking at it head on from the front... and that confused me :smile.gif:
Actually, the z shouldn't change positions. z is height, isn't it? Shouldn't it stay the same regardless of where you look at it from?
On a graph:
X = Height (up/down)
Y = Width (left/right)
Z = Depth (near/far... cue grover! :biggrin.gif:)
(If that changes for axises (axis's... axii... whatever :tongue.gif:) Then i'm wrong and i apologize :smile.gif:)
EDIT: HOWEVER- Yes, if you're looking DOWN at it, then Z IS the height. Which is where there's confusion :wink.gif: But then you're changing your plane of view... and X/Y/Z are all different directions :wink.gif:

so is it 3x3 square, and two high?
Again, if this is too much info, creator or Llama/Wolf, let me know and i'll get rid of this :smile.gif:
Yes, that is the correct space needed for this rune.

= ink
= Lock Block
= place to click... not specifically a half block, but that's what i used in my pics (ahead).
The Idea (now with 100% more pictures!):
1.) Lay out the rune w/ your own choice of six blocks in place of the yellow-
(ignore the dirt behind the room. my first pic didn't work right, and i already built the example room and didn't want
to have to rebuilt it all again :tongue.gif: +1 to laziness!)
2.) Hit the activation button, and bam, you have a 4x7x10 dirt cube... hollowed out. With a door.
Outside:
Inside:
3.) Fill the inside with whatever you'd like. Preferably chests, since this is a safe :wink.gif:
4.) Go outside and hit the activation button again. This time, all blocks are consumed (yea, it's easier that way :tongue.gif:) and you're beautiful dirt box w/ a hole has been entirely replaced with Adminium, and now there's no door. However, that Lock Rune is still out there!
(imagine the stone is replaced with Adminium. I don't know how to remove adminium. Or i'd have used that in my example. Is there any built in, quick-removal kinda thing for admins/ops?)
5.) Go do your thing! When you're ready, come back, re-fill in the Lock Blocks (or bLocks, maybe? :tongue.gif:) and you once more have a dirt room with a door. I have it revert back to dirt, so, if you wish, you can quickly destroy the safe (or, since it's dirt... the unsafe? Wakka wakka!) after unlocking it, if you so choose.
So, whatcha think?
EDIT: side note-
Faith, when placed on a body of water, looks badass. That is all. :wink.gif:

Yes, and he said he was going to do it, for a while. You can thank those that posted the original rune all over this thread as a spoiler.
Thats why it changed.
