We've just been let out of a special lunch with Notch and the rest of the Mojang team. The meal was also host to several members from Make A Wish foundation, along with Evan, a special MineCon attendee, who's wish was to attend MineCon.

Mojang has donated 100% of the $20,000 raised to the Make a Wish foundation, allowing them to grant 4 more wishes!

In a most peculiar timing, as most of Mojang is on airplanes flying to Vegas for MineCon, we've found that Minecraft: PE has been released for iOS. Whether or not this was intentional time will only tell, but for now, go and swipe it up for a cool $9.99 $6.99. (The original price was listed from Apple's New Zealand store, the US price is $6.99).

It's finally here. The week that so many of us have waited for so long for. Minecon, and the release of 1.0. There's a ton of things happening this week, and Bebop Vox of Minecraft Monday's has it all covered in today's episode!

Wow, you guys need to chill out. We've all been talking about Skyrim in the office for months. We're gamers too. Why do we have had to have been paid off or bribed to want to post a story about Skyrim. Oh yeah, we also love our users, and know that our parent company is having a sweet contest where modders can get some cash and prizes. What to do? Oh I know, let's let our awesome modding community know, they'll love it!

Nah, you guys always gotta think that we're trying to line our pockets. Such a shame.

As all Minecrafter's are pretty into the whole adventure game, we figured we'd let you in on some awesome news, and the possibility to get some awesome swag!

With the launch of Skryim we wanted to let everyone know that Curse now supports Skyrim Mods which are available for download on Curse.com! In addition we are running the "Curse $15,000 Skyrim Mod Challenge" and rewarding authors of popular mods who upload their Skyrim Mods on CurseForge.com!

While the world of Minecraft is exploding with a massive force, the Minecraft Forums and Minecraft Wiki are now viewed over 250 million times a month by people just like you all around the world. The sites take a massive team of dedicated staff to ensure it all stays up and running, and that they are an enjoyable place to talk about Minecraft. There's no way that this site would be able to function without the help of dozens of people, however, today we'd like to single out one.

The Minecraft Forums and Minecraft Wiki are both offical sources listed by Mojang AB as community sites. Very few people know that they were both humbly started in June of 2009 by one man.

Today is that man's birthday! So everyone make sure and give citricsquid wonderful birthday wishes today!

A post on Reddit by user SonomaSam has a call to arms for all Minecrafters. His son is in the hospital, and is needing some cheering up, he has requested for people to make some pictures for him. We know the Minecraft community is creative, so let's see it! All images must be posted within the next 4 hours, so time is of the essence!

With the outstanding response from the community on the pre-release of 1.8 (you have downloaded it, haven't you?), we've set up a special page on the wiki where the bugs you find should be reported. This will give Mojang a specific all-inclusive place to look and fix them.
