I've come back after years of absence and migrated my old mojang account. I'm using the new launcher, too.
I've tried to run both 1.12 and 1.11.2 and whenever I try to create any world, even on low graphics settings, the game will freeze forever on 'Loading World Building Terrain'.
-This is a beefy gaming laptop
-There are no super intensive processes running in the background
-Firewall and Antivirus do not block Java or Minecraft
-I have reinstalled Mincraft.exe half a dozen times at least
-I have deleted .minecraft and completely reinstalled it once.
-I have toggled VBO both off and on with no positive results either way.
-Java is 100% up to date - version 8 151
-I have tried to download the Old Launcher - which failed.
-I have tried to install new intel drivers par reading another forum post - to discover my laptop did not meet 'the minimum requirements'.
-I am running no mods, no forge, just vanilla minecraft
-I have windows 10
-I have tried keeping the launcher and game log open while minecraft was running and noticed no change at all, just a freeze.
-I can not manually close Minecraft while it is frozen, I am forced to use the task manager.
-Upon being closed this way the Launcher tells me the game has crashed, but I am shown no crash log.
I'm at the end of my god damn rope. I just want to play minecraft again without having to be pidgeonholed into the crappy Microsoft Windows 10 edition.
For the love of god someone tell me what to do!
