Is she critical to this campaign?
...is she supposed to be lacking in clothing?
I can't tell, it's not mentioned anywhere in the book. There's probably some reason she's here though.
"Given the circumstances this mansion are currently in, I don't think leaving is even a possibility, for the time being. Besides, I doubt roaming Waise at night would prove to be any safer than staying here."
"Well, it's kind of a long story," Buttons seems too lazy to go into detail, possibly because doing so wouldn't help his situation in the end. "Long story short; I met a girl, we fell in love, got married, had a couple of kids." Buttons sighs. "After all that I discovered she was a witch, therefore a liar. An argument ensued and she subsequently stuck my soul into the body of the family pet. Yours truly. Then that wretched witch was nice enough to shoot through with the kids and leave me here like this. As it turns out, though," Buttons regards the slug up on the wall; "Apparently Sluggy encountered my Ex after she shot through, in the next town over from here. I guess Jane is leaving a trail of talking animals along the countryside. First thing I'm gonna do when I get back into my human body is hunt that filthy witch down and put an end to her rampage."
"I see. Sounds like if she keeps at it she's gonna have a small army of talking animals seeking vengeance soon enough."
"Call me whatever you want, just don't call me late for dinner, especially if fish is on the menu. Honestly though, Jack, I'm more concerned about getting back into my human body than anything else. These fleas are really annoying. But yeah, definitely some sort of powerful illusion magic going on around here." He looks drearily at the door to the dining room again. "In any case, these dark robed guys, if that's who is actually responsible for the crap going on around here, don't really have any further interest in this so called 'abomination'. To be perfectly straight with you though, I don't really feel like they're the biggest threat around here."
Jack nods, replying, "It's possible they aren't. But at the same time, they're potentially the biggest threat here I am aware of. Only time will tell if something worse either is discovered or decides to reveal itself. Whatever's the cause of the quarantine here, I want to find out what it is, and put an end to it if it's a threat. Not entirely sure why I feel so compelled to, but..." he pauses, glancing at Magebuster hanging in its sheath, "Well, I guess you could say that sort of thing is in my blood."
"I'm pretty sure that's easier said than done, cupcake," He tells her in a condescending manner. "and don't worry, I'm pretty sure if they wanted you dead you wouldn't have made it out of the dining room."
After nibbling a flea on his hind leg, he looks back to Jack with question;
"You know what, come to think about it, I'm more inclined to find that little girl more of a threat than anyone else I've seen around here. The problems around Waise have only increased since she reared her ugly noggin. You know the little girl I'm talking about, right? You might have seen her running around town like a bloodthirsty wacko? Anyway, she did something with my human body back at the arena. Some sort of spell or something. ...I'm tell'n ya, there's something very wrong about that girl. If you ask me, killing that nut job will solve a lot problems around here."
"Annie, yes. I know of her. She's certainly more than capable of posing a threat, from what I've seen. If I were to partake in any attempt to kill her, though, I'd want to be certain that she is actually a problem, and not just a red herring. I've... seen it in the past; too many have died to suspicion alone, and I can't allow myself to fall into that."
Silas shakes his head, sternly announcing "No, of course not!" The demeanor currently exhibited by Silas was not quite himself, at least not like the Silas that Jack met in the church.
"Talking cat?" he asks. "Eh, not the weirdest thing I've seen," he sighs. Kneeling down to the cat, he then darkly mutters "Oh, the injury will heal itself in time, and I don't particularly care about this body right now..." Suddenly, he returns to a cheery grin and gets back up, noting "If the rest of the party won't come here, maybe we could leave and leave them a note?"
"Maybe, but I don't exactly have anything to write one with on hand, and I doubt the slug, the cat, or the recently-transformed former pony would, so unless you have something..."
Lyudmila shakes her head at the voice, and looks around the now-empty room before sighing and walking to a nearby wall.
"She's not gonna be happy." Lyudmila says to herself as she places her hand on the wall, and a pitch-black doorway opens. Lyudmila walks through it and the doorway closes behind her, leaving the room empty.
((I'm assuming this doorway she created doesn't go out into the hallway (if it did I would assume she would've just used the normal door), but if it does I can add on Jack's reaction to her entering in my next post. Same goes for Fin, not sure if he's going out into the hallway or not.))
Better as a tool than a weapon, really. No doubt useful if you have nothing else on hand, but something actually designed as a weapon will obviously fare better in most cases.
It is a mystery.
Is this supposed to be where we begin the campaign?
Apparently it's a common starting point for some.
Strange. What's with the dragon?
Not sure, that's not mentioned in the book.
Well, anyways, let's get out of here.
Regon proceeds to smash the bars out of place with his hammer, and he, Lance, and Andire leave the cell.
I usually assume anyone I encounter on the internet is male unless it's stated or otherwise made obvious that they are female, and from my experience that attitude is shared by a lot of people so yeah probably.
If you could be perfect at one thing, what would it be?
"Of course it didn't! Why else would I look this grumpy!" he yells extremely loudly, gesturing to his foot, now with a hole through it. "Now my favorite pair of boots are ruined! And I don't see any place here that can replace them!" he continues to shout. He clearly cares more about his boots being ruined than his injury.
"Boris, huh?" Buttons gives a nod. "Bob for me. Bob's my human body, by the way. You know, that vacant lot you might have seen staggering round the place? Been wanting to get my soul back in there for a while now." He looks back at the dining room with a kitty frown, "Let me tell ya, Jack, it wasn't a pretty sight. And apparently I'm an abomination, so.... Go figure...."
He watches as Jack picks up Sluggy and attaches him to the wall.
Sluggy's relieved that Jack turns out to be a gentle giant, giving Jack a big mushy smile as he places him on the wall.
"Thanks for that!" He calls out, groping his way up further for added safety; "And yeah, that Trixie, mighty pleasing to the eyes, but really only good for a quick fling, you know. Especially now she's about to die. Probably wouldn't have worked out anyway.... In any case, be see'n around, Jack, and thanks again for the lift!"
Buttons casually watches as the slug starts making his slow ascent, then looks back at Jack with one brow raised.
"So... any idea what's going on around here?"

here is some info about them (their name is Enderman) on Word of Notch:
Really Scary! Where is my Teddy Bear and Diamond Sword?
Quote from BlockedBlock
These are called Endermen. They are 3 ft tall passive mobs that can pick up blocks and move them around. When you look directly at them (aka putting your crosshair on them), they freeze and stare at you. When you turn away, they run at you very quickly and attack you. If they are far away from you and you look at them, they start teleporting once every second towards you.

everyone is saying they break blocks what if.. what if they generate new blocks and repair your random holes? dun dun dun! imagine coming out of your mine to find a bunch of these guys filling it in and drowning you in sand?! also everyone has assumed that skeletons are re animated human skeletons. what if they are actually these guys? anyone else see the resemblance? skeletons are just stubbier... crackpot theories away!!!!

Maybe... but mushrooms are usually found in dark and moist places. But hard to say until we see the top of that.

The usual. One time I got lost in a cave system, then I went to get my stuff and got lost again, and again.
Minecraft provides many incredible and frustrating ways to die.

You people must not've seen the BIG PICTURE. There was an interesting new tree along with different water levels and maybe this shows that there may be a different kind of "Nightfall" or clouds.

Oh i get it.....mabe notch will not add zombie survival.
Instead these will replace zombie survival.
i think i found a name for theese, Evil shadows, but ill let the nameing to notch
Quote from KDogX
Maybe NPCs tha canbe trained to act like bodyguards? Or abnormal shadows that can break in your hosue while your sleeping and take your items? Oh the possibilities. :biggrin.gif:
Quote from StephenSeed
Well, "notch" if you want creepy.. they should screech when you look at them.. also when they run they should run with ever increasing speed, in other words the longer they run the faster they go.
Finally there should be something that keeps you from just staring at them and feeling safe; they could multiply when you look at for to long or maybe they slowly start walking toward you as if they are just coming to check you out, but if you run they bum rush you :smile.gif:
Love the Idea of a creepy monster in minecraft, makes the game fun.
PS: Night is way to easy at the moment for veterans, its too easy to just take out a 1x2 chunk out of the wall and put a door down to make a home :wink.gif: maybe if a house isn't properly supported they should crumble very slightly occasionally?
