Bob raises his brow with a smirk and what could be considered a slightly sad chuckle.
"Yep, interesting is one way to describe it, another way would be a typical day in Waise. But it sure looks like the women are after you, so that's something. More than I can say for myself anyway." He frowns and regards Buttons who is now seated between Jack's feet. "Hell, even my own cat likes you more than me."
"I suppose it is... something, though the fact that one was previously a pony and is now inhabited by the soul of a perverse old man, and the other possibly intends to kill me at some point remains," Jack answers, "and if not, her 'lover' might..." Jack looks down at Buttons as he continues, "As for the cat... given Annie's desire to acquire him, I can only hope his apparent affinity for me doesn't turn out to be a bit of bad luck..." Jack's train of thought is interrupted as he picks up the sensation of accumulating energy coming from down the hall.
Trixie, ...or Herman, sees the look both Ei and Annie give Jack. It infuriates Herman, the jealousy causing Trixie's blood pressure to rise. He was planning on waiting to attack that little floozy, Annie, but after seeing that exchange of looks he decides not to wait any longer. He was so infuriated by the prospect of the competition that the effect Vernon had him was quickly suppressed.
As he starts walking towards the door of the dining room in pursuit of Annie, the green coil of energy begins to spiral up both his arms, his body charging with energy and surging through his veins. Unfortunately, just a few steps from the door he realizes something is terribly wrong. Trixie's flesh is beginning to twitch and spasm. Her vision becomes blurred as her eyeballs begin to vibrate and shift in awkward directions. He could feel her blood literally becoming heated. Her chest swelled painfully, rib cage cracking, expanding well beyond the capacity of taking a breath as the skin all over her body began to tighten at the inflammation of her flesh. Herman then realized the body he was inhabiting couldn't take the variety of magic he was using. It was reacting as if it were combustible to his power, like some weird allergic response. But it was too late to do anything about it; the reaction had already passed the point of no return -
With a mighty boom, Trixie exploded like the entirety of her body was a bomb, covering the walls and everybody in the hallway with particles of flesh and bone.
It only takes Jack a moment's glance at Herman's body swelling to figure out what was happening to "her", kneeling as she explodes; the shield on his back absorbed most of the gore that had been propelled in his direction, a large red mark left on its surface by a ruptured organ. He stands back up, watching as the cloud of red mist dissipated in the room. "Gods... been a long time since I've seen someone die like that."
The last time it had happened, a mage had attempted to overload Magebuster's anti-magic. It hadn't ended well for him.
Bob let out a little sigh, wiping a chunk of what looked like brain from his eye as he nodded at Jack, and added; "No, you're right, it's been a very interesting turn of event."
Herman's soul was on the loose again, soaring through the haze of the settling cloud of blood, as if he were being sucked through a vortex towards the wall where he entered the body of the slug again, and immediately screamed out in mortal torment -
Jack looked at the slug, which hadn't made it far from them, as Herman's soul entered it once more, releasing a squeal-like curse. Jack shook his head, remarking, "And so the second fall of Herman the Lustful has come to pass. But don't worry, I'm sure we can find you another replacement body... eventually." He smirks as a thought comes to his mind, adding, "Who knows, maybe you can take Jane's after Bob and I hunt her down."
Feeling dejected, and neither giving a damn about the splatter of blood and guts that were sprayed on him, Boris simply dropped his hand away. The smile ran away from his face. He plonked himself down on the floor, legs crossed like a child, shoulders slumped with what appeared to be one of Trixie's mangled nipples sliding down his cheek as he dropped his head somberly to pout.
"Boris sorry...." He turns his eyes to Chissy, a look that could only be given from someone with an inferiority complex, though the look didn't last long before his eyes turned back down at the floor. “Boris doesn’t know why people hate him…. I no want to hurt you. Boris only wants you to feel good.” Shaking his head slowly, a tear could be seen in his eye, which might have been an uncomfortable thing to view on someone with such a large, manly appearance. "I must be too stupid and ugly to be liked.... Boris really sorry.” The nipple dropped from his cheek and into his lap.
Despite his feelings of personal rejection and hurt, which was more or less a way of life for him, all he really wanted was something intelligent to say in the hopes he could make Chisille understand where he was coming from, and that he had no intention of being a threat to her – and as it turned out, that desire alone was enough to make his wish come true, if only for a short fleeting moment –
It was like his mind suddenly became clear with understanding, accompanied by actual words to speak. His slumped posture straightened, not abruptly, but rather smooth while his eyes lit up and looked at the dragon with undeniable kindness and understanding.
“Life can be cruel. It can make a good person turn bad.” He told her, his voice calm, clear and perfectly pronounced. “I have also had a life of pain and sorrow, just like you. So I understand that all you really want is a reason to feel safe. You want someone around who cares about you. Don’t we all really want the same thing, someone that makes us feel safe and loved?” A soft smile forms on his face. “A friend is patient and kind. Friends do not dishonour each other. They aren’t self-seeking. Friends are not easily angered and they keep no record of wrong doings. Friends do not delight in evil but rejoice in the truth. Friends always protect each other. Friends always trust. Friends always persevere and stay with each other until the end.” He paused again, giving Chissy a look so warm that it almost seemed impossible for his face to deliver such a look. “I know you’re confused and I know you have no reason to believe in the kindness of humans. I honestly understand. But I want you to know that if you want me to, I can be that friend for you. I like you so very much… and being that friend for you would make me very happy.”
As he finishes his speech, Boris’ eyes seem to dim again, his shoulders slump, and his eyes turn sadly to the floor.
Jack looked at Boris as the large man sadly slumped as he sat on the floor, once more feeling pity for the occasionally brutish giant. As he was about to say something to Boris, though, he was caught by surprise when the less-than-intellectual man began his speech, something overtaking him. The words he spoke sounded like something out of one of the books Jack had read in his youth, but more than just his comprehension of language had changed. Boris's entire demeanor, the way he carried himself, it was as if for a brief moment, some hidden potential that had been wasted by his upbringing was restored and fully realized.
By the time Boris finished, Jack had forgotten what he was going to say, albeit there wasn't much to say that the briefly enlightened Boris hadn't already. Stunned by the performance, Jack merely sat against the wall, contemplating Boris's words and shift in demeanor as he awaited the return of Vernon, Ei, and Annie.

When the group reached Ei, Annie, Jack and whoever else was still within viewing distance, Chisille changed her position from next to Betty to behind her instead. Too many new others stood before her, including Vernon. She caught a strong whiff of someone that smelt oddly familiar, even though she didn't recognize anyone directly before her. In between her nervous glances and constant checks of the others behavior, she narrowed the scent down to two individuals. The cloak wearing Annie, or Ei.
Chisille couldn't quite pinpoint when or where she recognized the scent from previously, and she was not feeling brave enough to figure out which of the pair was the culprit either.
As Vernon, Annie, and Ei talk, Jack shifts his focus to the recently arrived Betty and Chisille. Both individuals he had could recognize, though he hadn't seen them together before; given the farm girl's apparent afffinity for animals- or whatever one might call that summoning magic she used- and the way Chisille hid behind Betty, Jack's best guess was that the latter had somehow managed to befriend the former. A surprise, to say the least; human-dragon relations didn't exactly have a reputation of being particularly friendly.
Boris steps up beside Bob, smiling broad at the kitten in his arms. "Awwww... that sure is a cute little cat. I wish I had a cat just like that."
Then Boris' attention is drawn to the young dragon hiding behind Betty. He recognized the dragon from dinner, and was happy to see it, but he didn't recognize Betty, Vernon or Ei. Annie of course was till being her very naughty self, but Boris for some reason didn't feel like begrudging her at that moment. It was possible all the many things taking place, plus the joy of seeing the dragon, was overriding his disdain for the girl.
Unfortunately, as Boris angled his head to take a better look at the dragon, he noticed the bloody bandage around her tail. Someone had hurt the little dragon! His heart suddenly sunk in his chest as his jaws clenched shut and teeth began to grind. The sound of the grinding was kinda loud as his blood pressure caused his eyes to bleed red with fury. His hands became white-knuckled fists as he then broke from his stance and strode towards the Farm girl and dragon. Paying no consideration to the conversation between the others, his feet stomp heavily into place as he stops a meter from Betty and Chisille, and raises his voice to demand answers.
"Who hurt you, baby dragon?! BORIS CRUSH THEIR SKULL!"
Jack noticed Boris observing Chisille as the man noticed the dragon's wound. He took a few steps back as he watched the expression on Boris's face twist from one of happiness into one of rage, his heavy steps practically shaking the hallway as he stomped over towards the farm girl and the dragon. This, of course, followed by a shouted declaration of vengance.
Vernon throws a glance down the hallway at Ki, then regards Ei with a look of obvious assurance.
"Call me Vernon. Should I be feeling pleased to see you again at this point?" He was obviously referring to the fact that his mission was not yet complete, but he now looks to Boris who has made no small measure of bringing attention to his presence as he stomps heavily to a close in front of the young and frightened dragon. He waits for Boris to declare his intentions to Chisille before responding.
"Careful there, lad. Try not to spook those you aim to protect." He looks back past Betty, and raises his hand at Chisille in a calming gesture. "Don't worry, he's no threat to you, Darl'n." His voice is smooth and mildly sedative. If Chisille was provoked by Boris' outburst, she would have no doubt been strangely set at ease by Vernon's voice.
While Annie continues to stare at Vernon as though he were a fascinating painting on a wall, Vernon speaks once again with Ei. His tone of voice is now... peculiarly seductive. ...Bewitching. Ei would most likely find his suggestion near impossible to refuse:
"Speaking of chats, I would like to have a private one with you...." His eyes turn to Annie; "...and Anne of the Redferne. Follow me."
As he walks down the hallway toward the entrance to dining room, he raises his voice in an unnaturally spellbinding, persuasive manner to all others present in the hallway. "The rest of you remain here."
Vernon enters the empty dining room and awaits Ei and Annie to join him.
Jack moved to try to calm Boris, but Vernon seemed to have covered that before he could get to Boris, let alone figure out the right thing to say. Jack simply watched and listened as he spoke to Chisille, followed by Ei and Annie. There was something about his voice, and indeed his presence in general, that felt odd to Jack; in a way, it was similar to the feeling that the presence of the robed cultists had given him before. However, while their presence gave off a sense of anxiety, fear, and, to some degree, hostility, Vernon's was... calming.
Given the way others seemed to react to his words, Jack guessed he wasn't the only one who felt that presence of serenity. Whether it was a genuine reflection of Vernon's nature or merely a charismatic facade, only time could tell.
Annie's interest is still captured by Vernon, watching his every move with deep interest. Not one of those affected by his spellbinding words, she is nevertheless willing to follow him.
She gives Ei a glance, stating; "He smells like me." and starts her short trek down the hallway. Passing Jack along the way, she provides him a flirtatious wink while biting her lip. She then enters the dining room to face Vernon, checks over her shoulder to ensure Ei has followed.
Ei, as promised, follows Annie into the dining room, glaring at Jack as she passes him. "Smells like you?" Ei asks Annie, slightly confused. "How do you know that? Besides, why would he smell like you in the first place?"
As Ei enters the dining room after Annie does, she pulls the door closed behind them to ensure those outside don't get to hear the conversation going on. "So, you wanted to speak to us, Vernon?"
Jack watches Annie as she follows Vernon into the dining room, his face stricken with what could best be described as a mixture of a blank expression and something halfway between confusion and contemplation. To say the least, he was unsure what to make of Annie's actions.
He tries to avoid looking at Ei's face as she glares at him, silently lifting his helmet and putting it back on, covering the upper half of his face in the process.
As the two reach the dining room, Jack turns to the others nearby, stating, "Well, this has been an... interesting... turn of events."

I know it's a cucco, but Regon doesn't know that.
Not that a cucco would be any more of a threat to him.

Leon follows behind Marion, collecting the map as he stands up. As they enter the new room, he begins folding its shape into the map; he could mark it the same way he and Marion had marked it before, though the mirror shard had already dried up and given what he was using as ink he would prefer to only mark in large chunks of map all at once rather than each room individually.
As he picks up the sound of the footsteps outside, he treads with caution and, like Marion, prepares himself for the possibility of a fight.

"Well, that makes things convenient, then. As for the cat, it wouldn't be my call; it belongs to Bob, so you'll have to negotiate prices with him."
Jack looks around as he hears the call of the wolves. "Wolves... or perhaps another set of monsters?" Either way, once they had left the mansion they would have to exercise caution; it would be a shame, after all, to have survived everything that had occurred over the course of the previous day only to die to mundane wolves.

"Very well then. I suppose in that case the proper thing to do would be to say that it's nice to meet you, and tell you my own name," he starts, lifting a hand to his chin as if in thought as he looks down at her, "Though something about you gives me the feeling you wouldn't really care."Ei happily returns the kiss, not caring about being in plain sight. After all, all those who'd witness it are doomed anyway, no reason to care about the thoughts of a dead man.
"That one huh? I'll figure out a way." Ei whispers, looking at Buttons while she does so. "But first, can I talk to you in private? It's a bit important, but you can talk with these people afterwards, okay?"
As Annie seems to either not figure out or not care about the purpose of the cloak, Ei sighs. She considers correcting Annie, but that can wait
As Ei talks to Annie, Jack looks down at Buttons, claws stuck in the ankle of his boot. "Come now, Buttons. Bob's waiting for you," he states as he kneels down, removing the kitten from his footwear and giving a brief glance at Ei and Annie before returning to Bob. "Well, I've retrieved your cat, Bob," he states, looking towards Silas and Herman as the former finishes his work.
When Silas returns his attention to his work, Herman stands back, rubbing his female chin thoughtfully.... While his soul was trapped inside a slug, he wasn't able to use his powers, since the chemistry and physical parameters of slug wouldn't allow it, but now that he was again in human form, Herman suspected he was able to tap into his powers of sorcery once more. As he considered this, he kept his eyes on Annie, while his slender female fingers wriggled by his side and a thin, hairline green mist-like substance began to coil up her arms.
"Yes..." She repeats Silas' words in a whisper; "In time... certainly in time... they will all be consumed by my lust. But I think that Annie girl will have to die -"
Herman's words were ended by the loud sound from the room next door, and he turns to look as if he could see through the wall, which of course he couldn't. "Sounds like someones fun is going off with a bang."
"Finally!" 'Silas' exclaims out of nowhere. "It is done..."
He puts a hand on the wall, directly in the middle the multiple complex series of runes, and the runes start glowing a sickly indigo.
"Now, it's been nice knowing you... oh who am I kidding, of course it wasn't!" 'Silas' explains to the others in the room, emphasizing the 'of course'. "Anyway, I've got places to go and people to see, and I can't do that while stuck in this den of a dwelling!" Near the end of his sentence, it becomes a bit clearer that there are two voices speaking.
He begins to waver and fade away as the magic does its work. "Sayanora, mother-!" His last few syllables weren't heard by the others as he completely disappears from where he stood, and the runes become dust, blown away by a gust of wind that shouldn't be there.
Jack watches as Silas fades away, the runes disappearing with him. "Wonder where that old man's gone off to..." He considers the possibility of crossing paths with him once more during his investigation of Waise, though given the little speech the old man had given as he left Jack figured it more likely that he had sent himself somewhere far out of the quarantine zone.
His attention shifted to Herman, in particular the energy that had begun coiling around her... his hand. Jack recalled that Trixie had used magic earlier, but she had used a wand to channel her spells; this was something distinct, most likely some form of magic that the old man now inhabiting her body had known beforehand. Which meant that its effects would be unpredictable, though given the malicious look he was giving Annie Jack concluded whatever the spell was, it would be some form of combat magic.
As for why he would decide to attack Annie, Jack had no idea.

found Leaked Footage of them
i pees himself when i watch it
That's fake. You can tell because he didn't put the cross hair on the enderman when it first started staring at him.
Also Endermen probably get to you faster than that.
Aug 1, 2011Posted in: NewsQuote from Patko0770
here is some info about them (their name is Enderman) on Word of Notch:
Really Scary! Where is my Teddy Bear and Diamond Sword?
Quote from BlockedBlock
These are called Endermen. They are 3 ft tall passive mobs that can pick up blocks and move them around. When you look directly at them (aka putting your crosshair on them), they freeze and stare at you. When you turn away, they run at you very quickly and attack you. If they are far away from you and you look at them, they start teleporting once every second towards you.
I'm pretty sure almost everyone knew this already.
Aug 1, 2011Posted in: NewsQuote from doom101
everyone is saying they break blocks what if.. what if they generate new blocks and repair your random holes? dun dun dun! imagine coming out of your mine to find a bunch of these guys filling it in and drowning you in sand?! also everyone has assumed that skeletons are re animated human skeletons. what if they are actually these guys? anyone else see the resemblance? skeletons are just stubbier... crackpot theories away!!!!
Or they could distort reality.

Maybe... but mushrooms are usually found in dark and moist places. But hard to say until we see the top of that.
No, it's definitely a mushroom.
The "Tree" in the first picture is the same thing as the giant brown mushroom in the second.

The usual. One time I got lost in a cave system, then I went to get my stuff and got lost again, and again.
Minecraft provides many incredible and frustrating ways to die.
Torch on the right (or left if you prefer) side of the cavern method. Never get lost again.

You people must not've seen the BIG PICTURE. There was an interesting new tree along with different water levels and maybe this shows that there may be a different kind of "Nightfall" or clouds.
It was a giant mushroom.

Oh i get it.....mabe notch will not add zombie survival.
Instead these will replace zombie survival.
i think i found a name for theese, Evil shadows, but ill let the nameing to notch
He's already confirmed their names as "Endermen."
Which is most likely a reference to the Slender Man.
Quote from KDogX
Maybe NPCs tha canbe trained to act like bodyguards? Or abnormal shadows that can break in your hosue while your sleeping and take your items? Oh the possibilities. :biggrin.gif:
If you're talking about these guys, they just go around with their business, rearranging generated blocks.
Until you put the crosshair over them. When you do, they will completely stop to turn and stare at you.
When you take the crosshair off, they run (or teleport if you're far away enough) at you and attack you.

Well, "notch" if you want creepy.. they should screech when you look at them.. also when they run they should run with ever increasing speed, in other words the longer they run the faster they go.
Finally there should be something that keeps you from just staring at them and feeling safe; they could multiply when you look at for to long or maybe they slowly start walking toward you as if they are just coming to check you out, but if you run they bum rush you :smile.gif:
Love the Idea of a creepy monster in minecraft, makes the game fun.
PS: Night is way to easy at the moment for veterans, its too easy to just take out a 1x2 chunk out of the wall and put a door down to make a home :wink.gif: maybe if a house isn't properly supported they should crumble very slightly occasionally?
How about the longer you look at it, the more distorted the screen gets.
Kind of like when you're in a nether portal, but much slower and without the purple color.
Also, a white noise/pink noise style ambient noise should start playing and getting slightly louder as the screen distorts, but not too loud. So it's like the enderman is slowly making you go insane as you stare into it's eyes.
