So the latest mod spotlight says 1.6.4. but the front page says 1.6.2.. I'm inclined to believe the front page but just in case there is derpiness going on; which is correct?
Terrain gen doesn't deliberately break the puzzle. There are a couple issues with ice and sand which I am working on, and you can be patient.
However, there are certain areas that may not be accessible right away. In those cases, mark the location and come back later. Or use Blink. Or Ender Pearls. Or a mod item that lets you get around it, such as the TC portable hole. You're not totally out of options.
The TC portable hole doesn't work, it generates the hole but you can't pass through it as if there is an invisible block there. If you break the invisible block a magic wall appears.
Okay, this magic wall + tower preserver block are really irritating me. It has made at least the woodland shrine inaccessible. If you put the preservation block inside and no entrances to it, how are we supposed to be able to get the chests inside with it? Breaking dirt just makes more walls and you can't dig in from the underside or the sides.
I think I'd actually prefer it if it was manual and just have a build block which would place the entrance.
I have an idea about the level of the land, the wand claims land based on the level of the land that you originally claimed. How about adding in a Z position modifier. +1 would claim land 1 block higher than the default, +2 would claim 2 higher, -1 would claim land at 1 block lower. This would allow us to scale the kingdom up and down with the terrain rather than having just one flat area.
This is of course making some assumptions on how it determines where to claim land. If I'm terribly terribly wrong I apologize. Thank you again for working on this awesome mod.
I've been thinking after watching the latest demo video. I notice that there isn't a gate or some place to exit the area, will the eventual gate be automatically placed or will we be able to place them manually? Also will we be able to have more than one exit?
My last question is that I've noticed that the wand was expanding the boundaries out along the same level, will we need to start at the top of the nearest hill to ensure that it will be able to expand unhindered or will the boundaries eventually conform to the topography of the landscape?
This is going to be so awesome! With the way you're developing it you can make a full fledged city with different regions! Not just some outpost that is one and done. I'm already starting my city planning.
It's an item ID conflict - check your configs. Also your ForgeModLoader-0.log file should warn you about an item conflict at some point and tell you exactly what it is.
Found it! Thank you for answering, I didn't realize forge would allow that kind of thing, I thought it automatically assigned Item IDs to avoid that. Now to just figure out how to fix it. I think Chococraft is going to get the ID reassignments as there are less of them then there are IDs for ARS Magica.
Okay, I've got a weird crash. When I place the inscription table it has the normal list of spells but there is also a yellow rune. If you mouse over the rune the game crashes. I read through the crash log and it seems that something in Chococraft and ARS Magica are not playing nice with each other, though I am know very little of code so take that with a grain of salt.
The mods I am using are:
ARS Magica
Bibliocraft
FloatingRuins
Forge
Ironchests
Runic Dust Mod
Thaumcraft 3
Torojima's Chococraft

Okay, I've got a problem, but I think I know the cause, just not how to fix it.
I'm using TreeCapitator (1.4.6.r06), Thaumcraft 3 (3.0.3), IronChests (5.0), Floating Ruins (current release you get the idea), ARS Magica, Runic Dust Mod, and Chococraft by Torojima.
TreeCapitator has stopped functioning entirely, but it doesn't throw any errors. Any kind of ax only breaks one, EXCEPT the new ax Thaumcraft 3 just implemented, Ax of the Stream which when you use it breaks a log block per swing starting from the top of the tree working it's way down. Something tells me the code for Thaumcraft 3's new ax and your code are screwing with each other some how but not enough to make the game throw an error log at me.
I'm going to leave a duplicate of this message on TreeCapitator's page. Hopefully it's not a big problem as I love both of your mods and would HATE to have to choose one over the other.

If I had to guess it seems to be a block id conflict between Buildcraft and Iron Chests. How do I fix this?

I read the entire thread to make sure I wasn't asking a redundant question/kicking a dead horse.
