Turning off the sound makes the game unplayable for many of us. Your vulgar insensitivity only makes it easier to disregard what you say.

Oh no, you might have to avoid playing Minecraft for a WHOLE DAY in order to not get your precious sensibilities offended! How awful!I'm so mad that Mojang decided to pull an April Fool's prank on April Fool's Day! I had so many great plans for today, and now they're all RUINED! Thanks a lot, Jeb! I can't believe I have to wait an entire DAY in order for things to go back to normal. Why didn't my parents teach me how to be patient!? Now I HAVE to post on Minecraft Forums to vent my bile because my entire life up until this point has been instant gratification and being treated with kid gloves to make sure that my precious feelings don't get hurt! You've just ruined Minecraft, Mojang! :steve_tearful:

Joke was funny for 15 sec

Game is unplayable. Total exageration on the sounds. Not very original.

See you tommorow, unless I get hooked by another game meanwhile.

Im very frustrated. I have enough stuff frustrating me all day long. I played minecraft to chill but now I cant

Maybe minecraft studios are full of 10 years old like in the game?

    Oh no

Let's stop spreading misinformation that Wedge is incompatible with Forge anymore. I fixed that with 0.3.0. It touches ms.class, yes, but thanks to permission from LexManos, Wedge duplicates the functions that Forge puts into ms.class. This means that as long as you install Wedge after Forge, the mods that use Forge should still work, and Wedge should also work.

Additionally, I just posted a multiplayer version of Wedge that uses ModLoaderMP. The really interesting thing here is that since the mod is entirely server-side, you can connect to a Wedge-enabled server with no client-side mods other than ML and MLMP.

*WARNING: TECH TALK* Lastly, I know that MLMP is supposedly "old hat" and people are moving in the direction of Forge. The nice thing is that since Wedge doesn't use any special packets, I should just be able to rebuild against Forge instead of MLMP with mod_Wedge being a child class of BaseMod instead of BaseModMP. I'll try to do that sometime in the next few days, but you guys know how I am with promises.

Settle down, chilrun! Wedge 0.3 is here! It should have considerably better mod cross-compatibility, but as always it comes with no particular warranty, so enjoy at your own risk!

But the reason why I actually returned to the thread is the following:
Is there a way to change the sea level? As in, having most of the map underwater?

Not currently, but before the release tonight I'll bump the Sea Level Scale slider (page 3 or 4, I think, in the options) to have a maximum of 2.0 instead of a maximum of 1.0, so you'll be able to go from 0-255 instead of 0-127. :)

SWEET BOUNCING BABY JESUS, ANIMATED PREVIEWING. I NEED A COLD SHOWER

Not so much an animated preview as an animated tutorial; since it's hard to verbally describe what the parameters can do, I figured it's easier if you can just click on the name of a parameter and have it auto-generate an animation for what that parameter looks like between its minimum and maximum range. :)

Alright guys and gals, I've been working on the next revision of Wedge, and it should be much more compatible with other mods now that it doesn't have to edit Minecraft.java. I also wish you people would stop saying it's "not compatible with any other mods". It is incompatible with mods that modify the all of *two* base classes that Wedge also touches. If there is no class conflict, then it is YOUR fault that you can't get it working with a given mod. Stop blaming me.

In the meantime, I've made a "Visual Tutorial" mode that'll be in the update that I'm releasing in about 9-10 hours or so. Check out a video of the effect in action here:

So apparently you didn't get the hint from me reporting "your" CCTV thread and having the mods pull it that I'm not interested in having you rip off my mods. Instead, you just renamed all of my files, slapped a new name on it, and are still distributing it. Where the **** do you get off?

Hey guys, I just want to say that I'm still working on Wedge - this weekend I broke ground on a plugin for CraftBukkit. I just haven't had as much time to work on it as I've been expecting.

Putain, je n'ai jamais t'ai donné la permission mais mais vous l'avez fait quand même!

I never gave you permission yet you did it anyway. I may have said "Decompile the mod and use EntityExtensibleRenderer for your own purposes" but that sure as hell doesn't mean "rip off my entire mod and keep it updated and make money off of it from adf.ly". What the ****, dude!

So you just drag the folder into your mods folder? I've tried this but it isn't working. Does it have anything to do with the fact that i have a mac?

It seems that I wrongly assumed that Macs will merge the contents of folders when copying a folder over top of another one with an identical name.

More specifically: Manually copy net/minecraft/client/Minecraft.class out of the ZIP and copy it into the same folder in your JAR. It would appear that directly extracting the contents into the JAR will obliterate the other files in net/minecraft/client.

TL;DR: It works with texturepacks OK only in 1.1 version, which unfortunately don't have easy mode.

    Will be fixing tonight.

    Three suggestions:

    1. Make buttons clickable with mouse 2 to decrease.

    2. Make buttons clickable with m1/m2 + shift to inc/dec by 5, and ctrl by 20

    3. Make the randomize and default buttons only apply to the settings on the current 'page', and add randomize/default all buttons for their current functionality.

Been wanting to add more functionality for increasing / decreasing values, I'll probably do these tonight as well.

I turned some of the button and i'v got this map :)
Suggestion: A config file with map data for other people who want the same world :)

I like this idea, I'll try to implement this tonight, too. :)

Still waiting for folks to contact me on IRC or AIM with clear-cut mod incompatibilities... with a thread this long it's kind of hard to pick out which bug reports are legitimate and which ones are user error, so being able to interact "live" with someone to diagnose a potential issue is necessary.

Edit: Oh yeah, just as a heads-up, I posted links to versions back to 0.1.2, it'll be about 8-10 hours before I get home to look up the links to 0.1.0 and 0.1.1, as for some reason they don't have the same naming scheme. :(

Your method involved to much work.

Simply download and unarchiving to like "The unarchiver" and unarchive your .jar, then place your mods in the folder and add a .jar extension to the uncompressed folder.

Either way nothing seems to fix the problem.

I don't want to pull any OS elitism here, but are you honestly telling me that there are no programs whatsoever for Mac OS X that allow you to open a ZIP or a JAR (which is just a renamed ZIP) and then drag files into the window to add them to the archive?

    This looks absolutely amazing!
    I'd love to use it!
Unfortunately, Minecraft keeps crashing when I install it.
    :(
Is this compatible with Single Player Commands?
I install Modloader, then this, then SPC, and my game gets to the Mojang logo, freezes, blackscreens, shows te crash report for a millisecond, then closes.
    T_T
It doesn't write a log report either.
    Any ideas of why?

I'm pretty sure Single Player Commands also edits Minecraft.class, I believe, so that's a no-go. If there's enough demand, I could be convinced to make two split versions, one that modifies Minecraft.class and one that modifies the class for the Create World screen, but of course it would be up to you guys to know the right one to use depending on the mods you have installed.

If anyone has a clear-cut case of incompatibility with a mod - as in, Wedge edits the same .class files as another mod - and can get ahold of me on IRC or AIM (my screen name is mega64man1), please do so, as I'm not against fixing Wedge to be compatible with more mods, but there have been a number of bunk bug reports so far and I don't want to spend my time chasing down false leads.

Also, if anyone can figure out the circumstances under which Wedge 0.2.2 starts generating the world with the old, default settings again, I would be eternally grateful, as it happened to me exactly once, but I wasn't able to reproduce it the subsequent 5 times that I tried to, and I can't fix something that I can't reproduce on my own machine.
