It seems that my dogs have gone missing, however (I had five). I had them fenced in my backyard, and had them sit there. A few Minecraft days later when I check back, they've gone missing.
Should I assume that they were attacked out of the blue by skeletons?
I run a multiplayer survival mode server, and I was wondering about a few things...
- Does the hunger bar of tamed pets (Cats/Dogs) deteriorate if you aren't online but the server is running?
In other words, if the character who tamed the mob isn't online (but the server is), will they still go hungry? Will other players be able to feed them?
- Are there NPCs and NPC villages in multiplayer? Or is that strictly limited to the singleplayer edition?
I say why build an Iron Golem and build fences and stuff to make sure it doesn't run off when you can just protect yourself with a couple of torches? But Iron Golems are very fun to make and have, but it's going to cost you extra.
I've got exactly 100 Iron right now and too many Pumpkins (lol).
Also, what did you mean by the fences/ton of light part? Is that so they don't wander off?
Hi, I just wanted to make sure if it was worth it to create an Iron Golem to protect my house.
I play in a Survival Multiplayer server where there are no griefers (just a few of my friends and I), so I likely will not be using it for PvP or anti-griefing purposes.
Is it worth the 36 Iron and 1 Pumpkin to manufacture an Iron Golem in order to protect my house from hostile mobs?

Don't know why I never thought of that.
Thanks everyone.

So you'd advise that I simply light the vicinity with torches and fence it in like a farm?

Thanks for the reply.
