OK, where's a good place to buy parts? I'm sure there's plenty of tutorials online on building a computer, and one of the family friends has a computer maintenance job, so if I can't figure it out, he can.
Go with http://www.newegg.com/,thats the place I'm getting all my parts from for my computer, which will run me about $1300. If I where you, save up to $600-$700 (like other people said), and then buy your parts.
Not sure yet. The official release date was rumoured to be 6 or 7 June, but the shippings might get delayed. But I would still wait until that, it isn't more than few weeks. And it's also rumoured that the best model can fight up with i7 2600k, the 4 core ones with i5 2500k so it's going to be pretty interesting to see what they're capable of.
DAMN, Ok, I will get some of the parts now and wait and get the mobo after the processors are released, do you know anything about the price?
lolz, I'm getting 2 packs of 2 2gb sticks, I will be overclocking but not soon after I get it,and does it look if I give a **** about how overkill my GPU is, I'm going to flash it to 6970 so it will pwn even more, and I want to upgrade in the future and thats why I have the 700w PSU >=D
If I were you, I would still wait until early summer and watch how much the new AMD bulldozer cpu's will perform and how much they will cost. Socket AM3's countdown has started, it's going to die away from now on. There's no new processors coming for it.
That's a good idea, what month is the new processors coming out?
CPU: Get Intel i3 2100. Better than the Phenom II x 6 in gaming.
GPU: That's kind of overkill in comparison to the other parts? I'd say drop down to the $150-200 margin and upgrade the rest of the parts.
RAM: Maybe get a bit more^^.
PSU: My own build is more powerful than yours, yet I only have 500W. You don't really need 700W unless you are going to upgrade it.
Do you know anything about computers? Or have you just been skimming around google searching for "How to be a pro at computers."
A lot of the stuff you got there looks good, but i'd advise you (as I have so many times before) to save up some more money and get Sandy Bridge.
-.-
First you blame that he doesn't know anything about computers and then to save money for sandy bridge when he suggested i3-2100? Do you know that i3 2100 is sandy bridge cpu, derp?
Personally, I would still go with the 965 or 955, they will beat i3-2100 when overclocked. Or, wait for the bulldozers.
