note that ac130s no longer work on many servers if the tnt and sand have to travel above sky limit.

Also, placing lots of roof layers on the walls and ocean base make it AN ABSOLUTE PAIN to wither due to wither mechanics. Note that is it already very hard to with horizontal platforms such as flat roofs.

The bedrock exploit does not work on the Archon. However it does work on other servers either 1.8 or below

posted a message on WHY THE EULA JUST BACKFIRED ON MOJANG AND THEIR PLANS TO "MAKE SERVERS FAIR"

As you may know, Mojang recently began enforcing the EULA, aiming to "Make servers fair" by making it so that servers could not sell ranks, kits etc. HOWEVER, they also let players who ALREADY bought ranks keep them as long as servers "Provided an alternative, EULA-compliant way to obtain ranks. Here's where the controversy starts. Servers can and will easily bypass this by making the ranks EXTREMELY high priced. For example: $100000000000000 in-game currency for a rank that used to cost only one dollar!

In my opinion, this makes the game even MORE imbalanced, as new players can't even buy ranks and essentially have absolutely NO chance at all on the server. Which will make it so that new people are discouraged from joining servers, thus halting the growth of such communities while the players with ranks will just continue on playing as usual.

Just another reason why I and many others are against the EULA.

Remember: NO base is 100% Unraidable!

First off, this is a list of common mistakes when making faction bases. This will ALMOST GURANTEE YOU TO GET RAIDED.

    1. Building a skyvault or skybase

    2. Chest vault of any sort

    3. Making a base with tons of walls but making the mistake of creating TRENCHES. VERY COMMON MISTAKE. READ MORE BELOW

    4. Thinking that and obsidian box covered on water is safe (it's not)

5 NOT WATERING THE CORNERS OF YOUR BASE (COMMON MISTAKE)

Section 1: Bases for power factions (Aka public factions)

A power faction is a faction which recruits TONS of people. usually their base is private as to prevent traitors from pulling off an easy inside. Members that rise through the ranks eventually gain trust and achieve moderator or admin status in their faction. These factions normally have LOTS of land power, giving them an advantage when building large bases.

    DESIGN 1: SPAM THE WALLS!!!!!

This base is very simple. Essentially all you do is make a box and generate as many walls as you can around the base. (This is VERY labor intensive) A VERY COMMON MISTAKE IS TO BUILD TRENCHES BESIDE THE WALLS. WHILE YOU THINK IT MIGHT FORCE RAIDERS TO STACK MORE SAND, YOU'RE JUST MAKING YOURE BASE A LOT WEAKER: Advanced cannons (OneShot cannons etc.) When they fire, they stack the EXACT SAME AMOUNT OF SAND EACH time, allowing raiders to first measure the depth of the trench then power through hundreds of walls EFFORTLESSY with their auto-cannons. HOWEVER: If you do not make trenches, your enemy will be forced to use a manual cannon and manually stack sand due to the varying heights in the terrain, making their life a lot harder.

    DESIGN 2: WITHER PROOF BASE

This design is used for servers where withers are enabled. (Usually, withers are disabled in the overworld but not in the end). What you'll want to do is go to the end dimension and start out with a box and then generate tons of walls around it. Sometimes it is also good to place extra water everywhere around the base, as it makes it a lot harder for the wither to get through the walls. NOTE: IT IS EXTREMELY HARD TO WITHER THROUGH THE ROOF DUE TO MINECRAFT PHYSICS. PLACING A SOURCE OCEAN seen here: WILL HELP A LOT WITH ROOF DEFENCE!

Section 2: Bases for private factions!

A private faction is a faction which can either be a one-man-army or just a faction which only allows close irl friends in. These factions have a disadvantage in terms of land power, however there are still plenty of ways to make an effective base.

    DESIGN 1: STEALTH VAULT

This is simply s much more improved version of the classic dispenser vault. For starters, you'll want to place this vault under some lava IN THE OVERWORLD such as in caves. Next, place some ores around the area (REMEMBER TO MAKE IT LOOK NATURAL.) finally, add the dispensers inside the crevices of the bedrock structure. All of these techniques will save your base from xrayers. NOTE: DO NOT DECORATE THIS BASE AT ALL OR ELSE YOU WILL GET RAIDED!!!!!!! DO NOT PLACE CHESTS DOWN EITHER!!!

    DESIGN 2: BEDROCK EXPLOIT

Watch this video before reading: What you want to do is create a trench around your base at bedrock. When someone tries to stack sand, the sand will just fall into the void. Simple but effective. This only works on SOME servers.

    DESIGN 3: THE OCEAN TROLL

This base involves a preferably empty box in the ocean and chests outside the base with little holes so that players living inside can reach the chests. The point is that raiders would have to cannon EACH chest and ONLY get the loot in that chest.

You can troll them even more by placing your vauables inside a chest labled "Junk" and leave the "valuables" chest full of your junk. DO NOT PUT THE SIGN ON THE CHEST. Instead, make a seperate pillar which is touching any chest with a sign on top labeling the storage.

Due to the ocean, it is also un-Ceggable, as the creeper will just float up.

IMPORTANT: BE SURE TO PLACE A BLOCK THAT YOU CAN EASILY BREAK ON TOP OF THE CHEST IF YOU ARE ON A SERVER THAT ALLOWS CHESTS TO BE OPENED IN ENEMY TERRITORY.

    Thanks for reading!
