SEUS has always been the laggiest shader I've ever used. Even if I turn half of everything off. I can use Sildur's extreme volumetric with ~40FPS, but with standard SEUS renewed I get ~24 with half of things turned off. Hope you can fix the performance.

SUES is likely always going to be a laggy shader simply because of the amount of effects taking place, not to mention the PC you might be using. But if you're really looking to boost performance with it, the two most performance heavy effects are Shadow Res and Global Illumination. Turning Shadow Res to its lowest setting and turning off Global Illumination completely should grant a good amount of FPS back.

    is there a lite version?

No. The latest version includes settings that you can customize to your specs.

There is a problem : the line of the fishing rod disappears when I use Seus Renewed 1.0.0. It also does the same thing with other shaders

Fishing rods have always been broken TBH, even in Vanilla. As long as the buoy particle is still there, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

A possible bug in the renewed version? The resource pack is Conquest. The pack uses a special grass texture that has its little 'blades' of grass overlap eachother, and i'm assuming SEUS recognizes this as an entity or model that should be given shadows? Is there a way to fix this? As for the gray parts of the textures, Conquest has a special feature where certain blocks will 'blend' in with other adjacent blocks to create a smooth and high quality surface. The shadow issue only occurs when it is in direct sunlight or moonlight - darkness and torch light will have it appear as normal.

It is not a bug, at least not with the shader. The shader recognizes the texture as a slightly elevated, overlapping model on top of the other block, most likely due to Conquest's method of creating the effect. The only other pack I know that does a similar connected texture effect is PureBDCraft, although it's possible Sphax takes a different route with creating the effect; So I recommend you give it a try and tell me how it goes.

    Wait...SEUS renewed HAS SSAO...but On/Off doesn't seem to make a difference. What's wrong here?

You aren't looking hard enough. Look at some grass outside in a shaded area and then switch it on and off. Zooming will help show the difference as well.

Hello, need a bit of help

I tried searching the thread but I didn't find (or overlooked sorry) what I needed

    My problem:

Not using smooth lighting leave a very blocky ugly lighting

But using smooth lighting leaves me with ugly black-flickering banners

You can see what I mean in the joined pictures. This is supposed to be the basic, full white banner

I'm not afraid to edit the shader file if needed to correct this mess

So if anyone knows how to solve this

    thanks a ton

My first question is does this happen without the resource pack?

What do you mean by PBR pack?

Physically Based Rendering. Not sure of the difference.

So I'm having a problem with lightning, with shaders on it doesn't seem to show up. The lightning is there, it plays the thunder sound and leaves fire, but you can't see it and the sky doesn't light up. Using Minecraft + Optifine 1.12.2. It's fine without shaders on.

This is an issue with all shaders I know of that I can only assume is a feature that is unimplemented. All we can hope is that an update is eventually released that fixes this.

A small issue, but the stained glass appears a lot darker than it ought to be. It looks pretty neat when light is shining through, but outside of direct sunlight it's really shaded! This is white stained glass in the screenshot:

I believe that is how it's supposed to look, considering there have been several changes in the lighting system with renewed. My theory is that the stained glass is making the inside appear darker with its colored shadow (along with the actual structure), because even white stained glass is still stained glass, and is not supposed to let in more light than normal glass.

I'm not sure how to feel about this. The screenshots make the POM appear as if the surface is sort of curved or wavy, as opposed to the original POM where it's more flat with just stuff popping out, which IMO fit's a little better with MC.

Yo Matteo BTW, I bought this pack not too long ago, and it's sooooo A E S T H E T I C A L L Y pleasing! Maybe not so good for gameplay, but absolutally perfect for screenshots!

Both were taken using SEUS v11 with fixed POM

Just paid full price ($5.99) for this. Game says your pack is incompatible with 1.12, outdated, and crashes the game hard when I tried.

    What's the problem?

Tell me about your PC specs. If your PC should be able to handle a pack like this, then you may need to allocate more RAM into Minecraft (look up tutorials). Also, if a resource pack is shown in red, that just means the mcmeta file that holds the description and stuff is not updated to format 3. So generally, if a pack claims to be outdated, it usually isn't and can be run on any version.

    I'm so late on this.

While I appreciate the hard work I don't appreciate being forced to click on Adfly just to download your shaders. That site is shady as are the ad server it uses. Seriously-I just had to shut down Chrome via the task manager because a pop up gave me a fake virus alert.

I have to be the only person on this planet that has absolutely no problem with Adfly or any site like that. It's 5 seconds to wait, which isn't even that long, and if popups come up, just close them. Nothing about Adfly is dangerous, as long as you don't click on the ads. Things like Adfly help the pack makers get paid, which is absolutely worth the wait to skip the ads.
