Nov 19, 2012TheNotchyToad posted a message on 1.4.5 Pre-Release Available!I have NO problem with updates that fix bugs/add features. The problem I have is there is no reason a lot of the .1 to .5 bug fixes weren't included two patches ago instead of incremental patches every couple weeks. I know this is a newly introduced bug (Lan issue) but the obviousness of that one makes me question the testing process.Posted in: News
All that said, still loving the game and thinking it's getting better all the time and the mod community has gotten infinitely more refined. These patches coming in quick succession however is good at driving away people from their hobby when they are constantly spending more time updating and not adding to/improving their mod. -

honest opinion from someone who
1. has tried most snapshots
2. has a "decent" computer
3. and also from someone who has a crappy computer (5-15 fps)
how is the performance affected at all?
also any real difference between this and the previous snapshots?
I have a slight increase in fps once everything is loaded on a 4 yr old pc. I run about 30 fps when things are loading, standing still with no major chunk updates going on I will even see 90's for fps. average in the 40s-50s I would guess. -

This is all a sort of wake-up call to the whole Notch/Jeb ****ed up i can't even log into a server i'm usualy just trying to troubleshoot it but if any1 has any opionions on this 1.3.1 canundrum it would be a nice way to pass the hours at least Diablo III is working fine cuz the updater pplz (lol) aren't doing jackshit (sorry if this looks like raging) but i'm fine i'll just do something else
You can't log into the server you normally play on if they didn't update to 1.3.1 yet, obviously - To post a comment, please login.

I was getting this in .002 with vanilla biomes so it isn't new. With biome altering mods such as Biomes O'Plenty pretty much every tower I found was either in a cut out square hole in the ground or up on a base it generated like in yours. Biome generation mods also wreck havoc on village spawns to so I'd expect those mods to cause the problems however.

Yeah, as stated here you just need to change IDs that conflict in one one of the mods. There are a couple mods that have overlapping IDs with AM

I have about 40 mods total, basically FC/DW mods. Decided to load as many mods as possible (over 100 minus Ars) and it doesn't happen to see if my pc was just taking a crap. Lower it down to 20 mods and Ars it still happens.
Edit: This is with 1.5.2 with latest Forge (703)

There are plenty of mods out there that it isn't that simple for unfortunately. Most should be, but that's obviously not the case for everyone as not everyone has gotten around to adopting it yet.

Pretty much guaranteeing yourself some ridiculous behavior with your method of banning item.

EDIT (again): Ok, I tracked down the issue. I did infact have 2.2.2.1 but had the previous version of Core. I just redownloaded and updated TE with the latest versions of both and all is good.

Redpower 2 and Facorization both try to claim the same 9000 range block ID's. Just get the FTB configs or change Factorization ID's to something else. I assigned mine to 6000-6045. You will probably have to change the 4089-91 or whatever the 3 id's are in the 4000 range.

Keep up the great work!
Change Factorization ids (I used 6000 to 6045), I also changed all the Ars Magica ID's...I think I just changed them by adding a 4 to the front so it was in the 4000 range of IDs. If your RP2 id's changed you will need to delete your RP2 config. That typically only happens if you used Auto-Assign which is broken in RP2 and you will end up with almost all your ID's assigned to the same number.

Doubt we see that, only reason she would do that is if mods didn't update timely and we have a lot of mods out now. IC2 is done but not out, BC is out, TE is done but not out until King gets online, and a lot of support mods are out. Just missing a couple big ones such as TC3 and Railcraft but everytime I look more and more are out.

How many hours of Minecraft do you play a week and how often do you record?
Look forward to another year of dire derps, amazing videos and impressive things done with a ton of different mods.
