    Awww yeahhh!

Sorry it took me a while to get around to this.
The pez dispenser is working really well. Thank you for the design. I especially liked the two redstone torch trick, that will be useful in other builds as well.

I have, however, noticed that the original door booster isn't working when pointed north or east (at least in smp). Any idea why that might be?

Regardless, I am now addicted to this booster system. I can't thank you enough for posting it.

I love this! So simple and worked perfectly the first try. Thank you.

I haven't had any trouble with the power it provides... Then again I made the boost distance about 10 blocks so the cart could go up a giant mountain.

...Any chance of helping me figure out how to attach a pez-dispenser to this?

I think the Bukkit plugins can do that, haven't tried though.

Do you remember the name? I can't find it...

So you're OK with telling users how to bypass the authentication servers?
... Perhaps we could phrase it in a more correct way... How about: So you're OK with telling users who payed for multiple accounts how to get their servers running?

    Obviously minecraft.net is down.

I have switched my server to offline mode, and it works, but only for one player at a time. They always log in as "Player" and then conflict with eachother.

This server is just for my family, so I'm wondering if I can modify the minecraft clients we are using to hack in different names other than Player, since name validation is down, thus giving us a functioning local environment that is independent of minecraft.net.

Does anyone know how to do this or at least point me in the right direction?

    thanks,
    TheMill6

posted a message on how much time to wait to get minecraft?help!!!!!
    it should be fairly instant.

I think you have to login on the online version once to activate it. http://www.minecraft.net/game/

If that isn't working I'd make sure I closed out of minecraft and re-enter my login info, making absolutely sure it is correct.

Are you using a 5-clock? I know 3-clocks can be pretty messed up sometimes. As in stopping randomly, not destroying themselves.

As for torches randomly popping off, I'm pretty sure that is only possible with water...

posted a message on NEVER dig straight down... srsly
I was making a reed err... sugarcane farm under my house.
I broke my usual rule and dug straight down one block.
Pretty minimal risk right? Surely there isn't lava 8 blocks under my house. WRONG :Notch:

Who put a lava pool 8 blocks under my ground-level wooden house!? I didn't even know that was possible!

Anyway... Point is, never dig straight down, not even once, not even if it is impossible for there to be lava underneath you. Notch has implemented Murphy's law.

The music is sort of sh*t. :L

    agree...

The house is awesome, it looks very well planned. Does seem a bit empty though...

Love the basement, you have a good location, perhaps something less dangerous would be better though? I would go flying off the cliff in a heartbeat. :tongue.gif:

Good job though, it looks awesome. How long did it take?

    Typical newb problem then?

Nothing seems to work for me when there are this many ghasts, is my problem just bad luck or rotten skill? Will they ever naturally move on?

When I first got here, there weren't any ghasts. Now I seriously have around 10 here, no matter where I tunnel there seem to be more at every opening. Here is a screenshot: http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/6372/ghasts.png

I did manage to kill the first ghast that arrived with arrows, but it took about 30 or them and I doubt I can leave my base now.

    Any advice?
