Guys, exciting news! In addition to DoggyStyle, the Style mod now encompasses a new sub-mod called TravelInStyle! It adds one new item and one new block.

The block is called a Waypoint. You craft it with a diamond in the middle, gold nuggets in the corners, and obsidian everywhere else. Then you place it in the world and you'll be prompted to give it a name.

The item is called a Teleporter. You craft it with an ender pearl in the middle, a diamond to the left and right, redstone above and below, and obisidian in the corners. When you right click a Waypoint with the Teleporter, it will "memorize" that Waypoint. Then you can use the Teleporter again to return to any of the Waypoints it has memorized, at any time.

You can turn both of these things off by editing the config file tgvstyle.cfg and, under the travelinstyle section, setting B:enabled=false.

We're working on buliding a Wiki to house all the mod information, as it's getting to be a bit too much to navigate on the forum post, so look for that coming soon!

    Hello everyone!

As you may have noticed Zeus and I have gone very silent on the forum. We unfortunately are announcing that as of right now there won't be anymore updates on the DoggyStyle mod.

With family, trying to advance in our jobs, and other real life obligations there simply isn't any spare time for us to really devote to doing anything with this mod.

To keep the mod true to our vision we aren't going to pass the mod along for others to keep developing. There is hope that one day we will be able to really get back into doing what we live. Until that time please enjoy DoggyStyle releases we have out.

Thank you everyone for all your undying support! We hope to see you all soon.

Hi! I love your mod! How do you color the fur of the poodles? I can only color the collor, but I can shear it XD SO how do you color the fur and can you only do it on the white poodles?

Thank you for an anwser <3

Shift-right-click poodles with dye to dye them. Or to be slightly more accurate, sneak-activate them. You should be able to change the color of any poodle, not just the white ones.

May I ask questions about these future mods?

    Kittystyle-
Will cats still ward off creepers, and will thewy have the same menu (And future menu) of dogs?
Should each breed of cat be tamed with a different type of fish?
Will cats have litterboxes and cat beds instead of dog houses?

    SurvivalStyle-
Survivalstyle? Um...? What does this add? I hope more animals! ^^

    LlamaStyle-
    Alpacas.
Will there be multiple breeds of llamas, or just different colored llamas?
    Will llamas function like horses?
Like horses, if you breed a black llama with a white llama, will it make a gray llama?

My questions for now, I can't wait for Llama, Survival, and Kittystyle to start being created!

SurvivalStyle we're thinking will add more challenges, such as penalties for not eating, sleeping, etc. and of course lots of interesting things to do. Making each cat breed tamed with a different fish would severely limit the number of cat breeds we could make, so I don't think that'll happen. Cat beds, yes probably. For everything else, since we haven't even really started on these mods, we don't have answers to most of the questions.

    Dear fans,

We appreciate all the support and feedback we get from our fans! The response to DoggyStyle so far has been overwhelming and we're so glad that so many of you enjoy our efforts. We want to branch out and create other mods, such as KittyStyle, LlamaStyle, and SurivivalStyle. We also want to keep updating DoggyStyle with new breeds and features. But all this takes time, so in order to have the freedom to accomplish these things, we're asking for some help with covering financial burdens. The more support we receive the easier it is to spend more time creating and updating these mods. Also, it's very encouraging to see that people care.

Please consider visiting our Patreon and showing us your support. Every little bit helps! If you can't donate that's okay. We truly appreciate everyone who supports us, financially or otherwise.

    Thanks.

    - Zeus & Mellon

Hello everyone! We're excited to announce a new update, wherein we've added fire hydrants.

Dogs will be drawn to fire hydrants during the day, and leave them at night. Different hydrant colors attract different dog breeds.

    The recipe to craft them:

Where the dye can be red, yellow, or blue, to make a hydrant of the same color.

Enjoy! And keep checking back for more updates. As always thanks for your feedback and support!

Hello all! As we're working on updates, we've seen a few requests to update to Minecraft 1.8. If we do this, we won't be updating the 1.7.10 version anymore, except possibly a few bug fixes. There's so much difference between the versions that we don't want to do double the work by maintaining both at the same time.

So, would you rather see features continue to be added to 1.7.10, or should we focus our efforts on converting to 1.8? Let us know in the poll at the top of the page. Thanks for your feedback!

As some of you have noticed, we've released an update!

We've added six more dog breeds.

    • Boxer
    • Bull Terrier
    • Dachshund
    • English Mastiff
    • Weimaraner
    • Toy Poodle

We also updated poodles, giving them a black skin and making their starting fur match their skin color.

We have a lot more updates on the way so keep checking back.

Thanks guys for the problem reports. We'll get those fixed soon.

@Panchams, we're sorry for your loss. Now you can have a black toy poodle to commemorate your dearly departed friend.

    I also had a crash.

First thing, there's an updated version from what you're using. It's always worth updating the mod first to see if that fixes it. This problem might actually be Minecraft though, as I'm not seeing any of my classes in the stack trace.

Here's an answer from Arqade about a similar stack trace. The referenced source is another forum post here on MCF.

You have probably played 1.8 in this launcher. Your problem is likely due to options.txt in the Minecraft folder file having a render distance set really high (because of 1.8). From what I read, "Minecraft doesn't validate that the render distance is a supported value before trying to use it (apparently)." -Source

Deleting the options.txt file is the fix for this crash for most people who experience it.

Hello all our Domestic Dog lovers!

With Zeus's computer back up and running we can now keep adding to the mod. We are a little behind on content but are working diligently to keep improving the mod.

    We will be releasing an update by Friday as long as things keep going well. The next release will include;
-Improved Dog Models *shortened necks, improved ears and over all proportions.*
    -Additional Coat colors
    -Known Bug Fixes
    -Config File
    -Russian Translation

If time allows it we would also like to include a few new dogs, but we won't know until later in the week if we will be able to include them or not.

Please continue with feed back and ideas. With your help this mod can keep growing!

    ~Mellons~
