So, I'm pretty much looking for a link to a working .minecraft folder (the entire thing would really help). If you could list the main mods, that would be great. One thing, I don't want anything that makes it way easy to get stuff in survival/hardcore. Also, NEI would be a plus, I've never been able to make it work on my own.
When I first started modding, Redpower was my favorite mod, and it still is. I can't seem to find a 1.5.1 version, and I already have about 20 mods working with 1.5.1, so I don't want to downgrade for it. Does anyone know if they've updated, and if so, could you get me a link to the download?
I think I might be able to help here, if you didn't already employ that first guy there. I've memorized many circuits, and I've probably logged thousands of hours playing. My Minecraft username (that's what I think you mean by username) is Malcolm746, and my Skype is brendan.cornell2. If it helps any I could get you a copy of some redstone tests/puzzles I've made.
Ah, I made one of these once. What you need to do, is use buttons and T-flip flop circuit. Google the circuit and hook a button on the outside and a button on the inside to the input Hook up the output to the pistons. The circuit takes up some space though, so I hope you can get it underground like I did.
Depends. I'm guessing that I'll be doing the qualification thing next Tuesday, most likely at about 4:15 (PST). PM me your minecraft account user name, and your skype user name. This goes for everyone who wants to join.
The qualification will test your skill in survival. Your "score" will be decided by me and my friend, and it will be over what materials you are using most, your shelter, food supply, and maybe other things that have yet to be decided on. What will happen is you will join the server, and I will teleport you to random coordinates (if you appear in an ocean, to bad), and my friend and I will dink around in creative watching you. There may be several people trying out at the same time, and if there are to many that want to try out, there may have to be a second round.
Ok, well, not anyone. I only want two people who want to join me and a friend on a survival server, that will be put on youtube. There is going to be a "qualification" test first, and you will need a skype account so we can talk faster than minecraft chat will allow. The only problem is that there will be almost no scheduled time that we will be on this server, for I don't have an internet connection at my own house. I go to the friends house to play, and that is rarely even once a week. If you want more details, just ask
Ok, so, every time I try to download and use the Aether mod my minecraft stops working. I'm pretty sure I'm doing things right, I've been installing mods for about a year. If anyone knows of a problem that is common and could help that would be great, and also, if anyone has a modded bin file that works, I would really appreciate it if you could upload it and send me a link!
Your post does not include any Tekkit stuff from what I can tell. What you are looking for is called a Unary Counter and can easily be made using RS Latches and NIMPLIES gates. Also you are an .
Also, I know what both of those are, but I'm not quite sure how to put them together for what I want. Picture please?

Sorry. I feel kind of advanced with circuits, but not as advanced as to understand much of what you just said. So, what is the "optimal" solution?
