The Emblem doesn't give you Haste II. Any argument about the Emblem being better than a beacon is instantly invalid. Because Haste II.

How can haste be useful when the maximum range is 50 blocks with one completely op beacon? That's like saying a 700mph bullet train is better than a 400mph bullet train, but the 700mph can only let you travel 1 mile, while the 400mph can let you travel for 1000s of miles. It doesn't make sense. While the emblem maybe won't give you haste, it can go anywhere.

The Withered Emblem is easily a worse item than the Beacon In normal survival mode, I would have to disagree..., as the latter can provide useful buffs, while the former only provides an effect that is exactly like Poison, but weaker in everything except for being able to kill the affected mob.

WOAH! Lets compare. The Withered Emblem is mobile, while even with a fully, most op beacon (That takes forever to make!) you can make a 50 block range. Only 50 blocks for something that took a while to make. The Emblem however, is like a portable beacon, but, like you said, only gives one effect.

If the Wither effect were to be able to be caused by the Player, it should be with more acessible means, specially as, by the time you can kill the Wither, you may even have a sword with enough enchantments to kill mobs in 2 hits, so the Wither effect itself won't even speed up the time to kill a single mob. Mobs, no. But for players, it could be very useful to kill players with op armor. I can see you have some good points, but not enough for me to agree fully.

It is a great idea! Kinda though, I'm not sure if it is totally balanced!

The suggestion was to add flags or modified banners as an alternative.
I was thinking a flag attached to a pole made of stacked fence posts or iron bars. However, a new flagpole item would be nice, perhaps crafted.

As far as I am aware, at the moment the banners only hang vertically.

I get the idea, I just need more details. Thanks for explaining the flagpole, and yes, you are right. Banners only hang vertically. Could you please edit your thread to put in some details, like the ones you put in the quoted comment?

Hmm... when I saw this thread form the forum menu, I thought you were adding flags, not editing banners, luckily, you were doing the latter. I like the idea, but can you explain the thread some more? I mean, is the flagpole a new item/block or just fences stacked on each other. Can you turn the banner only one direction 90 degrees, or can you turn it left and right? Would it still have the same customs as banners today? I need more!

The entire point is that it's realistic. All of the things you're putting forwards as no-nos? Those are entirely accurate to real life. You see those things as negatives, but if it were implemented, you could just ignore it, as you do in real life... right?

What? Entirely accurate? Minecraft isn't meant to be accurate to real life. Sure, people annoying you really badly is a normal part of life, but when I turn on Minecraft, I want to escape from that. I don't want to turn on Minecraft on a stressful day and then get this walking ad for Twitch bugging me until I leave the game. To me, it destroys some of the games fundamental principles. What I'm trying to say is that while there are bothers in real life, I don't want bothers in my game.

About the ignoring part, given the attributes the twitcher has, it seems pretty hard to ignore. And yet again, I'm also bothered in my real life, and some days I ignore it all day. I don't want to try to ignore the twitcher.

No. I'm sorry, but first of all let's go over the name. Twitcher. I originally thought it was called this because the twitcher was like a shadow- it moved and "twitched". However, looking at the picture, I realized it was called this because of Twitch. This is a huge no-no in my eyes, making a lot of players angry and there is probably copyright and legal work to put this name in. It just seems like a advertisement to call it that.

Also, it really just seems like it has no use. You can't throw a mob in a game just to throw a mob in a game! It has to have some purpose other than being a hassle. I think you imagined this as a fun challenge, or even just a challenge, but really, it is just a bother. I don't like the idea that I have to leave the game to continue to play normally.

    Quote from Wolftopia»

I understand that Villagers should be protected by the player, but the way it is as of now isn't that fun. If this is to be a thing, the following needs to happen:

    1. Each village starts with at least 1 iron golem as aid for both the villagers and the player.

    2. Zombie sieges (or other similar events to be implemented in the future) should be the only events in which villagers should die without player aid, and the whole event of a zombie siege should be better communicated to the player.

This may be what Minecraft is to you, but it isn't the same game to everybody. Many people play it in many different ways. That's part of why it has been so successful. Also, I don't see how this is any more "thinking financially" than trading with Villagers yourself- this is merely an extent to that mechanic to player-player interactions and a purpose/use for the Nitwit.

I really like this idea. It's creative, smart and makes me also wonder why Mojang didn't add this. However, I notice a few issues, the first being "Provide sufficient protection for Villagers." [/b]To me, I think Mojang hasn't added this because of the fact that protecting villagers should be your job. It creates a fun challenge and is something I think taking out would almost make villages to easy. I know, it's a weird idea, but I still think it's a good one.

Also, hiring nitwits is a problem for me. Adding a store in which you own to me would add a complication to the game that is unneeded. Minecraft isn't about buying and selling and thinking financially- it's about trying to survive in a world without things like that.

Wow. That's a lot. And while I do say it would be a good mod (possibly), I have no support for it being in-game. I don't support it because while honestly it's not a good idea in general, the shrinking thing would completely change the game, and honestly, I don't think it would be good. It would just destroy some of the remaining principles that Minecraft today shares with Minecraft in 2009. Also, it's hard to support something that doesn't have much detail. If you had given us some more details, maybe I would have changed my mind. Sorry, but you should go back to the drawing boards.

posted a message on PvP (or PvE) Armor Sets For Minecraft

    Hey guys!

Recently, I've started to leave the idea of making Hide N' Seek maps, and instead started focusing on PvP. Before I get on to my idea, I do have to say that I play on Minecraft Console Wii U, and play with other online friends. Thanks, and now let's begin!

Minecraft: Battle on the Console has always been boring to me, and, about a week ago, I realized why. It plays by the rules too much (in my opinion). It needs to have more red stone contraptions, armor sets and generally needs to have more daring maps. Thinking about this, an idea struck into my head. Why don't I make my own PvP maps? Well, I built my own maps and played on them, and then realized that I was hippocratic. My maps were just like Battle, they were boring, plain and not daring enough. So an idea hit me. Armor sets.

Currently, I have one finished PvP map, called WarZone. It's shown in the picture of a gray, circular arena with four towers for sniping and a general advantage. While it is fun, it's pretty boring and plain, so I built a second map, one that I'm currently building. It's going to be called Lakeside Temple, and it includes a maze, a treasure where you have throw something in a dropper to get it and an arena that has dispensers that release arrows for fighting. And I'm only halfway done. Also, I recently got an idea for a map called Vortex, which will have a giant black hole in the middle and it's "sucking" up four different areas from games like BotW, Undertale and more.

Anyways, I started the whole armor set idea with only 8 sets: Archer & Swordsman Pusher, Flamer, Fighter and Eater. Each with what I thought was a fair armor set, a fair weapon with special enchantments and depending on the set, the amount of arrows they got. Then, before I knew it, I had sets like Music Maestro, Broiler, Ender Glutton, God of Air, Water and Fire and even sets inspired by my best online friends. However, I have plenty of more chests to fill, so I would like to know what you think I should have.

    Requirements:

    • Please tell your set name
    • Tell your set's ability, armor and weapons
    • MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE ENCHANTMENTS
    • Try to make it creative and fair
    • Realize I might tweak your idea a bit
    • Send some criticism, it helps!
    • Be specific
    • Feel free to like or dislike my PvP maps

Thanks for reading, and this is my first thread, so also tell me if I made any mistakes in the format of this.:unsure:
