I was randomly exploring a mine and a finally found a slime :DDD
I was also playing man vs minecraft (paulsoarejrs game) and I went up a hill and there was a spider jockey. a creeper ran up beside it/them and blew up. XDDD
You should thank the creepers braveness to sacrifice himself for you... Make a creeper shrine with cake =3

Few problems. First, eggs aren't really "Rare". Just trap a chicken in a hole and wait.
Second the only current use for eggs are cake, and a chance at spawning chickens. why
And third, why would you want to keep a chicken spy alive in an egg, when you could make it into food?
My first dungeon was awesome. (The loot was garbage and it was a zombie dungeon, but that's not what made it amazing.) You know those gigantic mountain side holes, that look like giant caverns and are always dark, despite whether it's day or night, but they aren't usually very deep? Well, while exploring, I saw and went into one. Nothing all that special, that is, except that was a 1 block hole in their that seemed to lead somewhere. So I decided to open it up and look around. Nothing special, but there was an almost perfect staircase in there I decided to go down. (Almost perfect because sometimes I had to mine a block to get down to the next step.) As I got to the bottom, I noticed the ground was cobble. Mossy cobble. So I mined out the stone blocking my way, and, Ta-Dah! Zombie dungeon, with 2 chests. The chests only had some iron, wheat, string, gunpowder, redstone, and bread. I mined out all the mossy cobble, some iron I found directly under one of the chests,(Seriously.) and left. Never did find that place again, it was pretty far from my spawn, and it never occurred to me to take pictures/write the coordinates, since a zombie dungeon isn't all that useful anyway IMO.
Perhaps, sometimes, a zombie could drop items you lost from previous deaths, (Where you couldn't have made it back in time and the items disappeared), of course excluding items lost in Lava and Fire. You know, as if the zombie was the "You" that died, your body has to go SOMEWHERE after you die, right?
okay, for anyone who says you can just put an overhang, this is about killing the spiders. plus, that doesn't work, or it shouldn't, because spiders can still climb on ceilings. Derp.
So you mean that yes, animals spawn on grass blocks that have crops growing on them? That's all that needed to be said, really. I didn't know that, so I will have to remove the sugar cane and replace it with more wheat. I'll make a new farm for cane I suppose.

Animals will spawn in any area that is bright enough and has grass on it.
And I see grass in there.
There is no grass, not one single square, except the squares that have sugar cane growing on them. There is no dirt except dirt that has wheat growing on it. There is water within 4 squares of all the crops. I already know about spawing with light and grass.
Again, the ONLY squares that don't have crops are either water or rock. I have double and triple checked this fact.
