Thanks Bosky, we had a boy, his name is Korben (yes like Bruce Willis' character from The Fifth Element). Don't worry, it will get done, as i want to play the new content with my textures :P i just need to work out the best way to fit a little bit of development into each day, more difficult than it seems :(

Sadly, been very busy over the last few months with the birth of my first child and an awful lot of "real" work. The pack has kinda slowed to the pace of my ability to actually play. I haven't had much of a chance to play with the new features yet and see what needs to be done to get the pack back up to date... An update and a flurry of progress will occur, I can sadly just say "not quite yet". I wish i had the time to dedicate to this to get it done fast... but it will take a while :(

    Hey Defishensee,

Yeah, things over the last few months have been a little bleak to me, but things are improving, i am gearing up to getting back to working on the pack... There's a fair bit for me to do coding-wise in the pack before i can get back to the idea of releasing the 512 version of the pack. I have found myself edging back to drawing recently having worked on a picture of me and my girlfriend, which i haven't really shown around too much... It will probably become a painting in the pack :)

Well considering how much detail goes into each texture and the resolution too.

I'd say he's either really busy with a single texture or he's just busy with life.

and the last post was late January, it's just turned February.

He hasn't been gone all that long and doesn't need to post here every day to confirm he's still around.

You're really quick to assume that a pack has stopped.

A big thanks for this post, I have been having a very difficult time as of late.

Eh I just check here every day as I was used to a new post or something here each day, Never really checked how long it had really been :P. Well I hope whatever he is doing it goes well for him

I know i sadly have not been as active as i wish i could be. I am sadly a very busy person, with a job that consumes an awful lot of time (7:30-17:00 mon-sat), and my energy for very little reward (nat min wage in UK). Combining this with trying to maintain my artwork, run a house, look after my pregnant girlfriend is making life very difficult for me. Over the last few months i have noticed i have burned myself out, feeling very depressed these days (currently on anti-depressants).

I find i am at my happiest when i am making things, creating things or playing games. Recently i have found myself doing exclusively the later, which sadly still doesn't have quite the same effect as making things on my state of mind. I am willing and brimming over with ideas for the pack and further development of other ideas too, but my overall tiredness at the end of each working day makes it very difficult for me to to get very much at all done, as far as texture design goes.

I am hoping with the treatment of my depression and continued effort i will bring you guys some new content soon, please just bare with me. I have plans to rebuild the website as a blog, detailing work on the pack, combining with the idea of pushing myself into something new (which scares me immensely), youtube videos showing how i work, what i am working on at the time, and hopefully some stress relief and venting.

Sadly my "worky job" as a builder's merchant (branch *****) requires me to be very proper and "normal" working in a retail environment. My dark and very odd sense of humour, turns of phrase, random strange noises and miscellaneous intellectual outbursts are frowned upon. The only reason i can drag myself to work at the moment is the knowledge that i need the money to be able support what will in the course of this year become my family. It kills me inside finding it so difficult to work on the pack, i truly love it... In the coming weeks i will be making steps to make sure you guys see some content... hopefully i can finally get a version of the x512 pack so far out to you guys :)

    TL;DR version:

"Thadius depressed, working hard for very little reward, trying to get better, pack not dead, x512 beta coming soon."

yeah, turns out somehow the download.html page of kaynecraft.co.uk got corrupted and it isn't letting me set up a new one... in the mean time i have a standby of 3 links for the current version of the pack in the OP :( i plamping hate websites! I don't know what i am doing with that stuff at the best of times, let alone when something goes wrong that i don't understand at all :(

Hope you have managed to get it all up and working :) been tweaking the code in the pack to make more of it available to vanilla minecraft. I am trying to remove all the CTM dependent random textures before i start pumping out betas with the new stuff in :) i have an awful lot ready to test but stil a huge amount of coding to do (i hate coding, i'm dyslexic, so code just makes it even worse) lol.

I like it but with the saw, nails and hammer at the top left it just makes it seem so colourless

i understand what you mean... i will be trying to keep them looking like cartoon sketches, they won't get colour but they will get some crosshatched shading of some form to make sure they don't look too out of place :)

Edit: Like this... decided only frames will have the metal frame texture and all other assets in the GUIs will be hand drawn and shaded :)

Been using this texture pack for the last two years and absolutely love it. Figured it was time to make an account and say thank you for your hard work. It's beautiful and makes the game much more enjoyable for me. I've tried just about all of the top rated packs and I always come back to this one.

Its always nice for me to hear when someone is enjoying my work :) anything in particular about it that you just can't play the game without? :) remember if your interested in the pack keep an eye to the thread, the pack's facebook or twitter pages for information on updates and stuff :)
