    Can you please upload the world so that I might take a closer look at how you have done things with the buildings? I've always had a real problem with making things look aestetic pleasing, and add my need for symetrics and you have a bunch of boring buildings..

    Hey!

    What is an easy way of aquiring arrows? Is it setting up a chicken farm, tree farm and digging gravel?

    Is it possible to use iron golems as guards around my house? Will they attack every enemy entering the vicinity or just those attacking me? Will it wander off? Is it an effective use for iron ingots?

    I'm in the same situation as you on my current world, but didn't cheat because I think that cheating by any amount ruins the fun.. First and only game I did cheat in was Morrowind when it first came out, and I haven't been able to see the fun in playing it before last year.. Do not cheat, it WILL ruin Minecraft for you!

    Btw, why do you need sheep? There should be plenty of spiders underground in caves, or spawning at night..

    That's one solution, which I think wouldn't require much modding (I think).
    But what I'm after is a mod that does so you don't even have to have torches in your hotbar to place them, just having them in the inventory is enough.

    Another use for it is when you want to mine obidian, it changes to a diamond pickaxe if you have one in your inventoy, and the same with ores that require iron or higher.

    I got lucky with my seed I guess, because it is miles and miles to the next island, but most of my island is within a plains biome (probably a bug of some sort I guess..?).

    This reminds me of the world a then pretty famous Lets-Play guy (can't remember his name) had back in early beta. What he did was to make houses on the ground level that were both level with the walls, and some that stuck a bit out of it. He then made houses further up the wall that were puched a bit into the it, and connected them with walkways.
    I tried to do this with my brothers on a server, but at the time mc updated so often that we ended up toying with the features that came with the updates instead of continuing on that project.. Maybe it's time to dig deep into my past mc folders? :D

    I'm trying the triangulate method on a creative world now to see if I'm not as rusty at math as I think I am.. Takes a while with a brain that hasn't been inside a school for ages :P

    4-6, ok.. Then off to go kill me some Endermen then :) And thanks for the advice on waiting to throw another one after some hundred meters, I would have thrown them all the time, like every 50 meters or so :P

    On my current world I'm trying out a survival island, and after about 20 minutes of mining and getting lost, I thought it would be easiest if I just dig myself a stairway straight up like I usually do.. One of the dumbest mistakes I've ever done! As I had forgotten that my house was on the only island in miles distance, I dug up and hit the ocean floor. As I paniced, I tried to swim to the surface, but drowned about two blocks from it, losing all the neat stuff I found.. :steve_tearful:

    Hey everyone! :)


    I've just started playing mc again after a long time, and thought that a survival island got to be the best way to gain interest in mc again. But as silly as I am, I started one that had no sugarcanes on it, and no spawning of animals.. This limits me in not so many areas of gameplay, but I'd like to test out the "new" features of enchanting, which I won't be able to without books.. So I found a way to legitimately get me some books without breaking the survival island theme/rules, and that's strongholds! The libraries in them should provide me with bookshelves which I can break to get me some books.

    But here is what I need help from you guys with: How do Eyes of Ender work when I'm on an island in the middle of a gigantic ocean? When I throw the eye out, will it drop to the ocean floor where I will have to pick it up and throw it again? How do I know when the eye have found a stronghold when out on the sea?


    And here's my last question; is there any clay blocks in the ocean biome? And what's the easiest way of searching for it?

    Thank you! :) I had hoped I wasn't the only one who saw a use for this.
    Yeah, that's what I thought too. And seeing as I'm not very good at modding, I thought it would be best to leave it with the professionals ;P
