What is keeping your shaders mod from being version independent from Optifine? Optifine is updated quite often and Id liek to use the latest version that fixes things, but having shaders is more important to me so Im held back. Is it some deeply rooted reason, or just so you get less BS from people that don't know how to troubleshoot or read?
Could you please put your download link in a larger font or something? It gets lost in the damn forest that is your first post and it should be the main tree, not a twig lost and alone, fearing being taken and becoming part of a birds nest.
More mod compatibility is coming. For those mods that have APIs available to use to make Highlands compatible (includes Forestry, Mystcraft, Thaumcraft) I will have compatibility soon.
That's a weird crash because I thought I had fixed that error months ago. Did this happen immediately on creating the world or after? and was it once or did it happen multiple times?
I have made a significant breakthrough, though it has nothing to do with anything I said I would do previously (I feel so much like Notch, working on new content before fixing existing content...). 256 height mountains!
This mountain's top reaches within a few blocks of 256.
Awesome mountain range, the tall mountain to the left is about 180 blocks tall.
Great, now we need Mojang to make 1024 (or even 512) the new default height. That should last for years, then we can really get some mountains like this some headroom.
This and Forgotten Nature are my favorite biome mods. I used XL for a while (especially after hearing it was going to integrate biomesoplenty and forgottennature) but in the end this mod's tree generation is vastly superior to almost every biome mod.
The tree generation is good, but it seems a little bland in terms of biomes. Even when I turn biome size to 1 the variation doesn't have much contrast. They feel like they are mostly vanilla biomes that have been altered to different slightly directions. I mean Im seeing some darker biomes and thats good, but those again seem to have less contrast. The atmosphere isnt all there imo. Also the sky really needs to change hue better in certain biomes.
The mountain generation i think is on par and even possibly better than BoP, but what is inside the biomes themselves, just seems to be missing details that really separate them from each other for a good unique quality.
I hope to see integration with world gen mods. Possibly setting up a list of biomes from other biome mods, and having their IDs point to corrisponding ID(s) of biomes in BoP so any mod that works with XL and world gen in it, will in turn work automatically for BoP.
Are there plans to make this more compatible with other mods? I am stuck using BiomesXL, and I would really like to use this instead, but I cannot as it will break many of the FTB pack mods right now.
BoP is way better than XL except for this major issue keeping me from getting rid of XL.
Also its been mentioned the want for adding % rather than on/off for biomes. Like say you dont want a biome to be gone, but youd liek to see it half as often. So in the config you go and BiomeXYZ=50 or something for 50%
dude i would make a fine beta tester i just haven't encountered this bug so i cant be sure its even there
but as the creator has said, it is there, but its not even relevant because its fixed in 1.5.1
The guy supplied a crash report. Yeah, 'fine' beta tester indeed. All you seem to be doing is trying to silence an issue. Thats not what testers do, they ask questions and investigate, and they definitely don't say dumb crap like "dude i dont know what the heck your talking about with that its never happened to me the entire time ive used 1.4.7"
dude i dont know what the heck your talking about with that its never happened to me the entire time ive used 1.4.7
for those of you asking if this is for 1.5.1 yet " why dont you try reading the first page and see if that answers it, if not then your blind
1. mandrac went about that wrong, as he misunderstood why it 'wasnt getting fixed' and got a bit emotional.
2. Saying "you" didn't have an issue does not mean the issue isn't present. You would be a horrible beta tester.
mandrac, though emotional about it (and understandably) did everyone that uses this mod and 1.4.7 a HUGE FAVOR in letting it be known, unlike you, whom would rather this information of risk be kept ignorant. I much rather know risks involved even if they have a 1% chance than dive into something like a blind idiot.
In better news, thanks for adding to the mod community Thunder_Remix

He said beta. and it take 5 seconds and a google search to answer that.
Yes, it was a forge issue not optifine or buildcraft.
