Oh great...I put the file in the mods folder, didn't work. I opened the file and copied the mod and asset folders in a fresh minecraft 1.6.4 file. But when I opened the mod folder the master sword mod just disappeared. THIS SUCKS!!! I want the master sword!

    Before:
ok; just for you, I'll reinstall the Master Sword myself and see if I run into any problems. I'll tell you soon...

    After:
I don't know whether to thank you or to... yeah, thanks so much! After trying to install my mod myself, I found alot of errors.that I fixed and I have updated the link. Please download the new file and tell me how it goes!

I don't think I need too. It is the correct version of forge. I don't know what to do. there is something really wrong with your mod. I'm not trying to be rude

    well that's pretty bad :P
I don't know of this bug, so I don't really know how to fix it. Sorry :P

Yes. I've been useing 1.6.4. It's all I've been using because it's the only one that has the only that has the mods I want Like yours

Try using the latest forge; redownload forge and try again. After that, that's all I can say without looking at your files :P

It's the very first one on the top of the list on the website.

Ok, that one's for 1.6.4. Are you sure you have the latest version of forge? Are you using 1.6.4?

Well not like it matters now. Just tried it. Hate to tell you this but your mod has issues. Empty minecraft, there are no other mods. I put assets and mods folder in. Nothing. However I opened up the mods folder and the master sword mod wasn't even in there! It was in the master sword file. I opened it up and it was there. I put it in the minecraft file and it would disappear! Do I need to unzip the file that's in the mod folder before sending it? Do I also need modloader? (i'm sure that's obvious) am I also downloading the right version of the mod?

You need Forge ModLoader. In addition, the latest version of this mod is for minecraft 1.6.4. If you don't have that version, what version do you have? I can tell you what mod version you need depending on your minecraft version.

Fixed! Ok so is this what I do?

    1. Go to %appdata% and select minecraft.
    2. open the mods file
    3. get the asset file and the mod file and drag it into the minecraft file
    4. start the game

yes, pretty much. Nice to know you have it sorted :D

Alright I think I tried but i'll give it a shot. I think I did it wrong. I just put the entire folder into the mods folder. I'll try it when I can. My minecraft just messed up randomly. I was playing in flat world, working fine. I pause it for a bit and go back. It lagging like MAD and when I try to walk I just take one step forward then it freezes! I'm trying so hard to fix it but when I get it working again i'll give it another try

    good luck to you :D

Yeah three unhelpful instructions no offense. All I have to do was put the components in the file. I did that! I put the zip file in the mod file didn't work. Opened each 1.6.4 jar. the original AND the one with forge. I put the components in there, still wouldn't work it just made the game collapse. The help needs to be more specific. It just has 3 steps.
    1. extract files
    2. copy components to minecraft file
    3.Have fun!
Well something like that I can't remember because it won't let me read it XD
So what am I doing wrong? Is there a "how to install" video for 1.6.4 or can someone make on? I'd really like to be able to use the master sword. I put WAY to much time into trying to download the mod

okay, I'll go into more detail:
There should be an assets and a mods folder in the zip file.
To install the mod, you have to place both these folders in your .minecraft folder, overwriting everything.
    Run Minecraft 1.6.4 with Forge
Try that; or if you've already tried that, let me know ;)

This is happening for me as well. The src was always decompiled for you in previous versions.... but I'm not sure how that works with the new gradle stuff.

    Edit: found it

    You need to run
    gradlew.bat setupDecompWorkspace --refresh-dependencies

    as specified here:
    http://www.minecraft...allation/Source

sorry, that didn't work. I'm getting really annoyed with this problem ;(

How did you get it to work? I spent 7 hours trying again and again but it still won't come up in the game!

you can't just put it in the mods folder and expect it to work; there's instructions for it that can be found on the website. Its so that the sounds can work. This will hopefully be resolved in the future ;)

I'm getting the same error too... Maybe try an older version of Forge.

EDIT: Try to run a flatland world :)

The new 1.7.2 Forge is still highly in development, and we're getting an early sneak-peak (from what I know), so I suppose that that is just a bug.

    EDIT: Also, superflat does work.

Thanks you guys, superflat really does work! :DD
