I have one little question.... I am writing a novelish thing for my english class... can I pull bits and pieces from it to use for my texture pack? Or does the whole thing eventually have to line up as a story?

From what I understand of the rules listed on the OP, you personally would start by creating textures for the amount of story that you've already written, take an in-game screenshot of a setting from the story (using your textures), then maybe write some more of the story and keep making textures/screenshots.
But since you've already written a large amount, you'l probably take more than one screenshot.

Bones > Microorganisms > Us > Machines.
I took your advice and thought very little of the texture while I was writing, and it is turning out to be (at least in my opinion) a very interesting post-apocalyptic poem-type thingy.
A nice piece, although I'd suggest a creeper/wither head on the player to address that part of the update.

I completely disagree: not only can you actually put pumpkins on your head in the game, but with him riding on the broom it makes me think of the Headless Horseman on his horse.
I really like the day/night cycle picture, except it seems that the waterfall structure is a bit off-center. Also, in the first picture, the only part I see moving is the torch flames.

Minecraft 1.8 could have been out a long time ago. And so could the full game.
Insted Notch and the rest in Mojang works on other stuff insted of finnishing MC, like Scrolls
Why do we let him get away with taking our money for a thing he calls beta. Where we do most of the work for him testing the game, reporting bugs and coming up with ideas. And at the end of the day. He only take some user ideas that is more or less wicked lame insted of the really good ones.
The comment on pax that he didnt have time to work on minecraft because he had something else to work on made my nerdrage even stronger.
They should finnish 1 game before starting another. Or get a totaly new team to work on the new game. A new game should not interfere with the one that made them popular in the first place.
Currently. It feels to me like Notch think he is god and we have to wait for him to finnish his crap and that he can do as he want.
Newsflash. He wouldnt be even near where he is today if it wasnt for all us players buying his game.
And tbh. Minecraft was new and gamebreaking. Scrolls have been done a million times before. He wont earn nearly the same on it as with MC.
With that said. Dont step on us, the consumers, like we are nothing. We deserve to get the game we bought finnished and not put aside for him to earn more money, screwing us in the process.

Putting out updates take time, money, and effort. You also have to hire people to help you do all of that, and you have to pay them as well. You may think that Notch is some kind of multimillionaire(which I don't actually doubt, at this point), but, he's putting most of that money into making these games. If Notch wants to work on Scrolls, let him, if he doesn't want to update Minecraft because of scrolls, let him, it's his decision, and you're not paying any more money for Minecraft if he does or doesn't want to update. Also, if you're worried about other people, guess what? If you buy Minecraft now, instead of before the game is released, it's cheaper. Did you forget about that part? I do appreciate you sharing your opinion though, so that we may take action to debate it.

A little update, Totensluch has now put out every torch in the town, stolen the items from every chest, destroyed the stolen items, and using some multiple account and spamming hack. Please put in a whitelist.
Also, there's either a bunch of hackers or Totensluch is hacking other people. Dunno. i'm really pissed off though. The spamming hack is also being utilized to say "This server sucks" in various states of caps lock and bad grammar.
I don't know about a whitelist though. I'd have to appoint some mods to take care of it while I'm not on.
Just got griefed my Totenfluch, pretty sure he x-rayed to me or something, then took out all of the torches in my mine, in my base, then stole 50% of the stuff in my chests, then went out to wreck more havoc. I firmly request that you add a whitelist, and whatever may prevent this in the future. The server has been great so far up to this point. i know it's not you're fault but you can do something to prevent against further happenings such as this. Thanks for your time. He's hacking as well.
It still has plugins, just not 20 of them. The idea of the server is a vanilla experience. The only game changing plugin I've found is the explosion of the creeper is nerfed, it still does damage, but no greifing.

I voted in the survey for Rule Administrator because I have too frequently been on servers where the staff are entirely goofing off, but I know this will be different and I hope to help in that regard. Also, besides what I previously mentioned, I can make very nice banners, signatures, and icons if needed, and I can also record videos and such, in case Fr4nc15 needs help or not.
