    posted a message on Enchiridion - 3.1.0 ~ Updated 01/05/2016
Ah okay thank! I didn't catch that part on the pedia. I got a little too excited to try out all the nifty new functions!

The previous Enchiridion had that automated item recipe display through the book adding scripts, so I just naturally assumed this new update would do the same thing only easier ingame. But like you said, this is achievable already though the use of the other elements. So that brings me to another question: how do you copy or duplicate another layer(s) ingame? Because this new layer system is really powerful and makes book creation 100x more fun/easier than manually scripting.

And one last thing: I think it'd be cool to have a little on/off display grid (that is used only for reference in aligning image/box/items/texts). :P

Awesome mod! I love Enchiridion! It's great to see a ver 2.0, that is MUCH easier to use ingame. Anyway, as I was playing with it, it seems the recipe element is not integrated yet? Also how do you delete an a layer with the ingame gui?

    Hey,

when I use the Glasses/Googles i get a bug. I start bugging up in the Air higher and higher and cant stop it. The Buff doesnt end so I hav to delete the hole World.

Edit: 1.0.5 still ok. Every other Version makes Problems.

It's a compatibility issue with a specific mods I believe. The same thing happened to me, with 120 mods installed. When I wore the goggles I got this weird potion effect and then started jittering up in the air randomly, even through ceiling blocks. With the mod by itself everything works fine. I'll have to find out what specific mod is causing this *bug* by testing my personal modpack.

I found out that after you've created a world, say "Tutorial", you should navigate to. ".minecraft/save/tutorial".
From there, create a new folder named "EA" and create a file named "tutorialSign.txt"
Now open the file and type the names of the nodes within two number signs (hashtags for you twitter fanatics!).
and below that enter the message to be displayed.
At the end of your message leave a blank line.
    For example:

This has been tested by me and it works.

    * Funfact: a "Balise" is an electronic beacon or transponder placed between the rails of a railway as part of an Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system.

If any of you guys have working set-ups, please share them.
Everything I create explodes when I stress test it.
and unfortunately I only have an hour a day I can spend on minecraft.
I also think people can learn from creations from others.
    Sharing is caring!

Thank you soo much! Just tested it and it makes sense. More electrical experimenting for me. YAY!

The simple tutorial signs are kind of cool on the tutorial map and seem very useful for displaying information without walls of wooden signs. How do you actually use them? It just always says "Set balise name".

Does anyone know if a 1.7.2 version of Openblocks has ever been made? I would update to 1.7.10, but some of the mods i have aren't updated just yet, one of which i don't believe ever will be since it was part of modjam(electromagnetic coherence.) Can anyone help me out?

Technically there is a "compatible" version, since the coding gap between 1.7.2 and 1.7.10 isn't that big of a difference. The much older version of the Openblocks mod. That is, the earlier builds on their Open Mods Jenkins page. Like VERY VERY 1.7.10 early builds.

However, realistically speaking, there is no true 1.7.2 build. The early Openblocks builds has a lot of bugs (stay away from the sprinkler, fan, and golden egg) as well as a crash to anything that opens up a gui, except the cartograph mapping guy if loaded into 1.7.2. Luckily these items can be disabled in the config file, since they where made to work only in MC 1.7.10.

On a side note unrelated to Open Blocks:
Electromagnetic Coherence seems to work in 1.7.10. It loads and functions as it should and I haven't run into any crashes or errors yet, since it's jammed packed alongside 200 other mods.

Ah okay, good to know you already had something in mind about block duplication whether if it may or may not appear in the latest release. I also noticed no config file gets generated as I was hoping a block blacklisting would be useful (darn you Chisels Blocks mod!) but eh, everything works and I'll just have to find what the sculpting tools work with and what doesn't so I can take not to avoid using a chisel on them.

Nonetheless, this is your mod and its development is on your time so all I can say is thanks for making a badass 1.7.2+ version!

    Quote from RealSketch

I don't think so, I haven't personally tested but it is specifically tagged with "1.7.2". I'm not saying that it doesn't but I can see from browsing the thread the the mod author is dedicated to the mod, so I'm sure he'll update it soon.

Now on to the mod, I actually love the concept, @Vanhal this is amazing and I can't wait to get started! I can see this mod going far! :D
Any plans for compatibility with other mods? World structures?

I like this idea, but I'm unsure how you would (staying away from OP) be able to duplicate it exactly? Combine the Recall Stone with a Diamond?

That sounds about right. A diamond, emerald or something that is high cost so the duplication process can't be abused. I mean, people will always find ways to abuse something meant for convenience. But since these stones require ender pearls to recharge and a diamond be crafted, it makes it tough for this one way TP ticket to get abused (if in survival mode). It generally would not be worth it to try and do so since the price to create/maintain these stones is already high and they cannot "undo" themselves or return anything valuable after their use.

Um, just a quick question. Are you planning to add the transmuter/blueprints again?

If not, that's fine to since without the transmuter/blueprint, I'll be more in-tuned to actually build things from scratch because now when I think about it, how is a transmuter/blueprint suppose to work on a multi-pieced sculpture in terms of coding it unless some sort of gui was to be involded? It sounds like the work might be much more complicated and laboring than the give idea.

posted a message on Immibis's Mods - Now with 85.7% less version numbers in this title!
Hey Immibis, didn't you make a mod for the recent Modjam? That windmill/watermill one? I was playing around with it and it's pretty cool! Will it ever see the light of day (besides a sort-of-stable modjam 4 release version)? I know Mekanism has it's own windmills as well as Calclavia's Resonant Induction (when it gets updated to 1.7.10), but yours just feels so much more traditionally Minecraft-like and simple.

If the millstone had a gui (to show the time/process/energy output of grinding wheat/future recipes) it'd be awesome. And if the power system could output redstone signal (to help automate things) somehow, even better. Anyway, I'm just wondering about that cool mod.

    Hey awesome mod
can you please update it to
    1.7.2 or higher please
    and one last thing
can i use this in a modpack?

This was already discussed in previous pages back. This mod isn't being developed for the (buggy) 1.7.2 version anymore. It's going to be for 1.7.10+. You can find these builds on their Jenkins website:

    http://www.openmods.info:8080/

    License and modpack info:

    http://openmods.info/

However, if you are really desperate to play on 1.7.2, the released builds will load and "work" in that version but with a lot of bugs/crashes. My advice is to find these bugs/crashes (the Guidebook, piggy bank, sprinklers, luggage, enchantment table, anvil, golden egg, fan, etc) and disable them in the OpenBlocks config and keep the bug-free ones, which is 70% of the mod at the moment. If you do upgrade to 1.7.10 though, everything pretty much "works".

Thanks for the report. Fixed the download.

Well I just want to finish this quick since I won't be around for long ... I don't play mc anymore and few people know my work.

It's weird they treat torches and signs differently... anyway for lighting you can place a glowstone piece in the sculpture and hide it and the entire sculpture will emit light.

Canvas fitting on a sculpture is actually quite complex to implement and I am not seeing a lot of use of it so I lowered the priority. I actually don't see much use of this mod at all so that might not be correct.

Ah that makes sense. I always remember I'd tell myelf to "paint that sculpture" in the 1.6.4 version but I always forget, since it wasn't a priority to paint something vs chiseling away at a block and creating the next Micheangelo scultpure in Minecraft. Anyway, best of luck to you and thanks for this great mod. It's great that your updating it first before letting it go.

He Asie, will you be porting your Recreate mod to 1.7+? I remember I spent days trying to remember what mod allowed me to "tweak" creative tabs and when I remember it was on your website, that great mod is only for 1.6 ( I have upgraded to 1.7+ versions). It's such a little gem mod, especially since some mods don't have creative tabs, place items in the wrong creative tabs, or there are just too many creative tabs when NEI is around to do the searching, that it gets very annoying and cluttered. Plus this great mod can create a custom tab too!
