The thing is I paid for the specs I have. I worked really hard to pay for this and I'm getting instability. When people say "you're lucky you get that fps" it annoys me because you know you're running a low end system so why say anything?

I know this is a common problem that people have but mine is a bit different.

When I first built my PC i started playing Minecraft, which ran at 500-700 fps no problem with optfine. Then I tried shaders since the mod is now integrated with optifine and got 40-45 fps, which seemed kind of off. After making sure all my drivers were up to date (Nvidia was the only one that I needed to update) I was getting 150~ fps with shaders on at 1920x1080 with everything on except AA. After a couple of days playing with these great framerates I logged in one day to see that I was back at 40-45 fps. I don't really see how this could of happened overnight when nothing has changed. I started messing with the video settings. Lowering them to minimum did nothing at all. Whats even crazier is that I put everything on max including AA and still staying at 40-45 fps. Anyone know whats going on or what I can do?

CPU: AMD FX 8350 (OC'd to 4.5ghz)

GPU: GTX 960 Strix

RAM: 8gb Crucial Ballistix Sport

In-game Settings:

Allocated Ram: 3gb

Resolution: 1920x1080

Graphics: Fancy

VBOs: ON

Smooth Lighting: Maximum/100%

Details & Animations: All Fancy and or ON

Quality: All ON and Maxed out

Resource Pack: Pumpkin Patch

Shaders: MrMeepz Ultra (No MB or DOF)

Favorite Activity in Minecraft (I.E. Building, farming): I love redstone, even though I'm not the best at it. But my favorite thing would have to be group mining, it's fun and efficient and you can split up your finding or keep them for yourself.

4) How often do you play: At least a couple days a week. Depending on my schedule ill be on everyday most of the time for around an hour to two hours a day average
5) I have mumble and skype
6) Why do I want to join: I'm looking for a whitelisted vanilla server that has people that are around my age. I also want to make and play with friends instead of playing by myself all the time.

You need to go to broadcast settings and change the mode to "File Output Only", Then in the file path specify where you want your recording to be saved.

Before you get Fraps look into OBS(Open Broadcasting Software), it's free and has a very low ram and cpu usage which is perfect for recording Minecraft. It will, as long as you want it too, record everything that comes out of your main speaker output(speakers, headphones or a headset) and incorporate it into your video file. So if you use Skype, Raidcall, Ts3, ect. it will pick up that audio as well as the game audio and your voice if you so choose.

Also, if you choose to use OBS I've found that it is a lot harder to use that Fraps, Dxtory and other software but once you learn and get the hang of it it's extremely easy to use.

I run Minecraft around 200-250 fps and I can record okay quality(720p only 5000bitrate) while keeping 150-200 fps. I want to record higher quality while running Vsync which limits my fps to 60. The problem I run into is that my frame rate won't stay a consistent 60 even without recording.

If I can run MC with 200-250 fps without it ever dropping past 170 with a spike, how come I cannot keep a constant frame rate of 60? Does anyone else have this problem?

The map should have this rule loaded instantly when start the map. If not it should be set as soon as you select multiplayer or singleplayer. Another possible explanation for it is that you loaded the map in the wrong MC version. Make sure you are in the 1.8 snapshots.

The effect being played are just various particles at a variety of locations for aesthetics. The setdisplay commands are alternating kills and deaths on the side of the screen.

Sorry for the delayed replies, my life is pretty hectic at the moment, with college classes starting again.

No problem, I figured it out like a day after I posted. I just needed to know if was normal or not, and this was run in 1.8pre2.

Why is the console being spammed with these?

Thank you for continuing this pack! I've hovered over it for a long time because I enjoy 16x16 packs that look good. I also love the gloominess of the pack and it fits my preferences perfectly. As long as you continue this pack I will support it!

Also maybe you guys could come out with a thread banner? I could try to create one for you guys, but it would most likely just be a reboot of the old one.
