I'm not familiar with it, but some brief Googling shows it's almost 5 years old and has over 77,000 saved characters on the server. What's wrong with it?
I've tried pretty much every kind of mining there is, and strip mining has always worked the best for me. Here's how you do it; dig a stair step down until you hit bedrock (the stuff you can't mine), then jump up ten blocks. Fill in your staircase until you have a flat floor at the 10th block up from bedrock. Now carve yourself out a little work area. This room can be as large or as small as you want. Now, dig two hallways that are two blocks wide by two blocks high. Branching off from those two hallways, you dig more hallways that are two by two in both directions (see the diagram below). The hallways branching off the main hall can go on as long as you want; sometimes I stop when I hit diamonds, but more often I keep going until I hit lava. Rinse and repeat, then laugh at those dirty overworlders while rolling around in all your diamonds.

Another trick I use is putting two torches on the floor of the main halls at the entrance of every branch hall. Before I started doing this, I'd run out of one branch hall straight into the next one when I was trying to get back to my work area. Anyway, mining this way means you'll see every ore that's between level 10 and 14 for as far as your branch halls go.
Not these pseudo vanilla servers with massive and intricate safe spawn points that have markets and banks and nonsense, but a true 100% unmodified vanilla server. Does one exist?
I'm not sure what you mean, every minecraft world has every biome and every item is obtainable.
Well this is embarrassing. I haven't played the PC version in about a year, I've been on PS3, so I'm used to finite worlds that are always lacking multiple biomes. Asked and answered, thanks.
I'm looking for a seed of the largest map available. It doesn't have to have every biome, but a decent mix would be nice. I'm not picky about villages either.
The important thing is this seed needs to allow the player to craft every item in the game. For example, it can't be completely missing a mesa biome for terracotta or have no jungle biome for cocoa beans. It also needs to have every animal and plant, whether they be plentiful or not.
If anyone knows a seed like that, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Edit: Forgot to add that I don't really care about the spawn location either. As long as it's as large as possible and has every item in the game, that's all I need.
