Hey man I just wanted to thank you for the work you have done. It is so amazing that you have spent so much time and effort into this mod with nearly nothing in return.
Nah my issue is that I am making a modpack and I want this mod to be a core factor in it. So what I want to do is have it so each dimension has materials you will need to get to the next dimension and each one gets progressively harder.
Hi so I really hate to be a bother because I know you are insanely busy with this huge mod but do you think you could add an option the config or something so portals can only be made and don't spawn naturally?
Wow I truly have no words for all of the things you have done for me. I would have asked you personally to make this as well but I thought you might want to work on something else because of all of the things you have done for me. I am so thankful and you are essentially the sole reason this modpack is going to be made. If there is anything at all I could do for you I would be more than happy to do so. Thank you so much!
Ok so basically I have been working on this huge modpack for about six months now and its about fifty percent done. One of the last mods I need someone to make for me is a leveled way to have ores spawn. Now from what I know it would not be to difficult to do. I know this because I once made a reddit post and someone explained how to do it but wouldn't do it for me. The basic idea is that ores would spawn based on their distance from the spawn point. For example if you were five-hundred blocks away from the spawn you would only find ores such as copper and coal. However if you were two-thousand blocks away you could find osmium, diamonds, ect.
It's funny you post this because right now I'm close to completing my custom coded modpack that does everything you wrote. One of the features is that the further you get from the spawn point the harder mobs will get so they will have more health, do more damage and sometimes new abilities. Another thing is the further you get from spawn the better ores you find. What I mean by this is in the first 500 blocks or so of the map you won't be finding any Certus Quartz or Osmium and will most likely only find copper, tin, coal and maybe a rare chance of iron. Finally the last special feature of my modpack is the dungeon loot. In most modpacks that have a tech and dungeon focus I've noticed that the equipment you have is so powerful that it's not even worth going in the dungeon for some apples or 4 iron ingots. What I changed about this is (yep you guessed it) dungeon loot will generate in the chest based on distance from spawn. So if you find a dungeon right next to where you spawn you won't find any iron in it and will find some sticks, apples and maybe some cobblestone. Anyway theres roughly 100 mods in the pack so I don't know if that is too big but I am hoping to release the pack somewhere around the end of november.
It won't be only 500 blocks that was just an example. It will make it so the further you get from the spawn point the better ores will find. The reason for me doing this are to encourage exploration I also have mods that make it so the further you get from spawn the harder mobs will get and The further you get from spawn the better dungeon loot you will get. Another reason is that I have some mods that I don't want users to be able to access right away, like some of the metallurgy ores and Applied Energistics's Certus Quartz or Big Reactors Yellowrite.
Okay sorry for the lack of information. basically what I want to do is make a mod that has ores spawn according to distance from spawn. For example in the first 500 blocks or so you won't be seeing any diamond or osmium (ore from the mod Mekanism) and you will only be seeing copper and coal. But the further you get the more likely it is for you to find these ores. If anyone knows how to do this please let me know.
