I've had issues with downloading, but it seems to work fine if you let it fail and then decline to update again.

It'll probably crash immediately or something- trying it out now.

I do not believe in FORCING people into buying a new pc to continue playing a game. Purchasing a new computer is not exactly cheep.

They aren't forcing you to buy a new computer. You only have to get one if you want to be able to play with newer versions that just plain don't work on older computers.

I was not aware that Jeb comes to your house, puts a pistol to your head, and forces you to download the update.

If you must keep playing with your mods, don't update. If the servers you're playing on update, update with them.

Combining enchantments sounds horribly broken. Hopefully, it'll incur a loss in enchantment level or something.

If not, we'll be seeing Sharpness IV Flame Aspect I Knockback II swords everywhere.

Looks pretty good overall. I'm a bit worried about the CPU load, but it should be alright.

I've seen precisely the same negative reaction take place on deviantART, actually. Pointless features were added and a fair bit of the community reacted negatively. The admins of the site responded by saying "thanks for the feedback lol I have no idea what I'm doing" and then added more bloody useless features.

This is what we have here.

I don't really want to see animated .gifs every time I open the Survival discussion form. I don't want to see little pictures all over the blasted place (extra fun when you have ADHD). I don't want to have my avatar turned into a hideously blurred 100x100 blob that mysteriously changes sizes at random.

What I would like is a cleanly designed, functioning website. I know this sounds like more of "They changed it, now it sucks", but this has really gone off the deep end. We don't need pictures strewn all about to make posts. What we need is clarity. Pure and simple.

It looks overdesigned to me. It's unclean and has too much clutter.

As for technical problems, I miss having a profile picture and an avatar. Now I can only have one pissed off homicidal creature to represent myself, rather than two. Also, I re-cropped my avatar, yet it appears messed up when displayed. I'd rather just have separate images so that this sort of thing wouldn't be problematic.
