Hey, I'm back with the 1.7 update! Check out the OP for the download.

For the umpteenth time, modpack requests are unneeded. The permission is right there in the OP.

Most golems don't need anything to run, because the vanilla Iron Golem doesn't. Only the Netherrack golem uses fuel. I may add fuel consumption to some other golems, but it'll only be needed for special abilities. Running around and attacking won't use fuel; the mod is loosely based on the original Golem myth, where a slip of paper with God's name on it placed in the Golem's mouth is enough to animate it.

I'll be adding new abilities to golems, but not all of them should even get one. Feel free to submit ideas.

Also, I have plans for a way to automatically create golems. It involves a new block and a new item.

Since I'm done with school and uni doesn't start until October, I'll have plenty of time to work on GolemWorld and my other mods, so expect a lot of changes! I am going on a 10-day vacation starting in a week or so though.

    also, *bump*

I cant download from google doc link (it say "page not available") ... please make an alternative download link (MediaFire, Dropbox etc..) thnx ;)

It works for me in Incognito windows, I think you're talking about the "no preview available" message. That's normal, just click the Download button.

Idk how to get mods with forge D: i have a laptop and no winrar

You don't need any program besides Minecraft and the Forge installer. Just install forge, then put GolemWorld-x.x.x.jar into the "mods" folder.

Bug Report: ID conflict 600 (???) please fix

I still need to figure out configs, it's on my to-do list.
Also, expect an Ice Golem nerf. It does indeed do way too much damage, especially with the Shatter bonus from its freeze..

Hi everyone, I'm back after a long streak of inactivity!
Expect a balance update later tonight, as well as some new features.

Also, to Pony_Discord: Try an Ice golem, they freeze mobs :P (no render yet, but it works)

My config generates blank (as stated in the original post), but adding the line suggested makes the mod not appear in my mod list, or in the item subsets, and the paper of awakening is nowhere to be found. I know it's the correct version, since I was using it before I added the config line. Any one know why, and is that config line required in the config, or can the config be left blank?

I'll look at fixing the config sometime next week, I hadn't actually tested it :V

The mod works on any 1.6 version, as the title states (it says 1.6.x).

    Yes, video monetization is allowed.

I dont know if u take suggestions but anyways, if u could create some addon golems like tin, copper, ruby, etc goles that would be really cool! :D

I have written the mod in such a way that it is very easy to add new golems, so other mod devs can add golems if they want to. I may consider adding golems made of common mod materials as you suggested.

I have minecraft 1.5.2, I downloaded 1.3.0b and when I installed it, it said it was installed, but, I looked for the paper of awaking and it wasn't in the creative thing. Help?

The post title says clearly "1.6.x". What made you think this would work on 1.5? Mods are known not to work if it's not stated they will.
I started writing this mod as 1.5 came out, but I've ported to 1.6 as soon as it came out and never released a 1.5 version. I will not do any backports unless it's clear that many people want them for some reason.

AmazinhHobo: I'll look at your showcase later, I'll put in in the OP if it's good

    Answers to all of you:

Dat_Guys_Mother: It's WIP, not done yet.

Wreckage: I can't check if I have configs for my block ATM, try changing the other mod's configs first. I'll fix it tomorrow.

TheUndeadCreeper: Such golems are in fact planned.

japtic: Instead of an Iron Golem spawning, a random GolemWorld golem will spawn. This means your Iron Golem farms may now produce such rarities as diamond or obsidian.

Jesse4060: Thanks, I'll fix it in an hour or so.

Minecraftthing: Thanks for the praise! It did take a lot of work, so I'm always glad when it's well received.

After hours of banging my head against the keyboard, I made pumpkins placeable anywhere. See the OP for details.

Jt3288 that's a vanilla issue: pumpkins can't be placed on top of transparent blocks, which e.g. glass, ice or glowstone are. To get around this, you can place some other block, such as dirt, place the pumpkin, and then replace the dirt with glass/ice/... (the pumpkin won't pop off)
There's really no way for me to fix that, unless I make a coremod which is Very Hard and also tends to break compat with other mods that also change the things I do, so unfortunately you'll have to cope with that.

I am aware of the bugs relating to vanilla Iron Golems, I shall fix them in the next release (probably some time next week).

Back from two weeks' vacation, so I'll just make one post to say a whole bunch of things.

Everyone: Thanks for supporting me, it feels awesome to see people actually use and like something I made just for the fun of it. You mean a lot.

Everyone who made a mod spotlight: I'll check out everyone's mod showcases then - thanks for making them already!

TheRainyAsian: No, I don't mind you publishing it. Mods with a similar concept are no rare thing, and sometimes (e.g. MFFS) a single mod might even split into two quite different versions. I'm sure each of us will still have unique ideas, and some people might even use both.

Everyone asking about modpacks, now and in the future: I already answered this question in the OP, please stop asking and RTFM. As a reminder, the answer is yes, unconditionally.

    Hey, nice mod!
Would I be able to include it in one of my mod packs? Here's a link - http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1878918-mod-pack-lokraft-industry-machines-and-warefare/
    Thanks in advance.
P.S. Lol, just looked at your licence, just thought I'd make sure anyway.

+1 to you! Would subscribe, but unfortunately no vids :(.

Hint: You might want to make the "Spoiler: Changelog" so that the most recent items are at the top.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it, I put a lot of work into it.
Modpack: Of course you can, but thanks for telling me anyway.
