I had a very similar problem with my Minecraft not working with java 64 bit, did you recently upgrade to windows 10? That is known to have issues with Java 64 bit in some scenarios. Basically what you can do is download the new installer for Minecraft and not have Java installed at all, it no longer requires you have it installed system wide. I'm pretty sure its integrated with 64 bit based, I could be wrong. Then again Minecraft only needs a max of 1 GB of memory so needing more memory isn't really an issue.
Yes try what Hero212Hero suggested the first option in that link worked for me. However I backed up my saves and deleted my .minecraft folder then did the alternate minecraft download
Ever since I have upgraded to windows 10, Minecraft hasn't launched normally. Not even the Minecraft launcher comes up. When I click on my shortcut it acts like its going to open but nothing happens.
The weirdest thing happens though. I can only launch Minecraft and play it just fine right when I log into WINDOWS. If I wait any longer the same "nothing" happens.
However, sometimes right when I log into windows and get into the launcher and wait to long, I'll get a "java(tm) platform se binary has stopped working" in the launch menu, then after that I cant launch it anymore. Any help is appreciated.
BTW, not once have I gotten a error log report, it simply just doesn't make one, so in that case might be a java problem???
I just had a question about the B1 update. I have an intel pentium G3258 (dual core) and since the latest update i've had a constant 100% cpu usage when running minecraft. Can this be fixed or is this going to be permanent?
Hello everybody, could anyone tell me why minecraft crahsed?

I'll have to wait until this happens again but I believe my computer is crashing because of something in optifine. The only problem is that it doesn't give me a crash report, my screen just goes black. But today I just left it on the Minecraft menu and it crashed and gave me a report (I didn't think of uploading it...derp), so i'll test it again and see if it gives it to me.
Give computer specs, Minecraft version, and optifine version, and help shall be given. Personally, I play MC on a craptop and have never had any issue with stuttering.
Well just generally speaking i'm saying, I think all these lag spikes are plaguing users and the frame count doesn't register it. And speaking "craptop", I've got an xps inspiron gen 2 with a Nvidia Geforce Go 6800 ultra. There should be a forum dedicated to who has the crappiest computer, but still runs Minecraft anyways... Kudos to sp614x and good luck.
When I play with optifine I get a good 50-60 fps but it still experiences a substantial amount of stuttering. So you can have a good frame reading, but it doesn't account for the stutter.

On an unrelated note, Happy birthday to sp614x!!! Love your mod!!!

I would definitely get your GPU drivers as TheGreatGhoulHater suggests.

I have Nvidia drivers and mine works fine, maybe look into installing optifine. Its a good easy performance boost mod.

I do believe i found my solution.
What I did was i deleted my .minecraft folder (backed up my saves) and then used google chrome for the next part.
I downloaded the Minecraft for Windows (alternate) version.
this made it open right up and is currently running.
Hopefully this help for anyone else on Windows 10 having this problem.

I just had a question about the B1 update. I have an intel pentium G3258 (dual core) and since the latest update i've had a constant 100% cpu usage when running minecraft. Can this be fixed or is this going to be permanent?

Is there any chance we'll get a c8 or d1 coming soon for the new update to minecraft?
