I guess that clears that up. If we ever want to play the way we have for years, we'll have to keep an old version of Minecraft. =/ I think Adventure, Survival, and Creative should all be options. But oh well. Also, old save files better work, because some of us have put a ton of work into them. Seeing them no longer work would be depressing indeed.
read through the thread at least 2 pages, Adventure mode is not replacing Survival, Adventure mode isn't even being added to the game with the Adventure Update. -

I am anxiously waiting for the 1.8 update. But the only thing I am unsure of is the experience and hunger meter. They make the game more like a simulations or rpgs.
Only if you play it as such, MC right now your Role playing as a man who has to survive or build or anything. Role playing can't really be avoided but how scripted the person your RPing can but they are just adding even more options now in a almost endless option RPing world.
Eat to survive common knowledge to all living things. Gaining Exp or Knowledge through killing mobs (and most likely able to improve on in the distant future) is even better.
I for one want more options in Minecraft and the game isn't even finished so how can you ruin it without being done it has no game like it the definition of Minecraft is freedom can't really ask for more especially with today's gaming market. -

Cause if they do that would be great.
do you mean a world you are currently using at the moment?
If so sorta in a way, they will not generate in any area you already explored but they will generate in areas you have never explored or rendered before. -

Regenerating health? That's a disapointment, that's not really for a game like minecraft. And frankly, neither is hunger. I'm pretty disapointed by this.
Minecraft has survival mode, to survive you have to eat.

Umm, this is why they are all saying it.
1.8 will add Creative Mode
Since the Adventure mode will be replacing Survival, Mojang has also re-implemented Creative mode! In this mode, players will take no damage, be able to fly, control day/night directly, can spawn infinite items of any type, and can break blocks with one hit!
Regardless of whether it is happening in this update or not; they declared it is happening. And that makes us all upset
They did not declare that.. they are adding Creative a mode that should have always been in game since it was purchased.
Survival is still part of the game, they are adding aspect to survival to make more of a survival game instead of the currently horrible Creative with mobs it is right now.

I get the feeling that 1.9 is somehow going to be even bigger than this, and that Notch is going for a sort of "Big 3" final updates before the offical release.
1.8: The Adventure Update.
1.9: The Nether Update.
2.0: Official Release: Final Update.
Well way I see it is
1.8 Adventure update
1.9 Finish up Adventure update/Add entirely new effective Armor system (goes along with the health)
2.0 Tweaks and fixes with release.
Nether itself doesn't need an update, with a unique armor system though it could be like the Aether mod and have special items to equip. But NOTHING can increase the need or even want to go into the nether for more then 30 minutes xD -

Creative mode is being added, which should have been added long ago because it was the first real mode of MC. Survival mode IS STILL in Minecraft in 1.8 just updated to make it more like its name SURVIVAL instead of a creative with mobs that it is today - To post a comment, please login.

Tried playing both one and two with my group of friends but the MP was too unstable for us to get far without having to restart constantly.

Definition of piracy is so broad that I can't say its good nor bad..
Sure you have the instances like Batman where WB completely dropped the ball trying to save money on giving the PC port to a very small non PC centric dev team who has been responsible for porting DLC for a largely known game but that's I wouldn't even pirate it actually its so bad I got the game free and haven't even launched it due to the optimization issues.
Then you have the instances like Witcher 3, CD project red developers have stated and even acted upon that they don't care whether or not you buy their game and instead just play it because if not your missing out on a huge project they spent years if you don't.
Finally you have emulation and abandoned ware which still falls under protection of the general law of piracy making Illegal to play forgotten/old games due to the lack of hardware that is no longer supported by any party unless its "remade"

but beyond that LOZ Twightlight princess had a mini-game exactly like it in the fishing area.

Now beating also could mean for Xbox players especially getting ALL of the achievements for the game. And I know that a few games it is impossible to get a few of them. Garry's mod is the first one that comes to mind.. that requires you to play with Garry who hasn't for awhile.

They are bad especially for launches but they do optimize it to a acceptable level a week or two after launch,
The 30fps rumor may have spawned from the fact if you had triple buffering for Black Flag dropped the game too 30-40fps (considering your GPU) using third party tools fixes that issue like D3D Ubisoft never addressed it officially.
Hopefully because Ubisoft and Nvidea are best buds now that issue won't be there again for unity. But we can't do anything but wait.

If Nintendo got their head out of their legs and made a decent platform again they could have easily won this generation across the board if they followed their usual methods. Instead they are targeting an entirely different audience then what Sony or MS is attempting to do. Sadly that won't happen anytime soon.
Beyond those two a new platform simply wouldn't catch on if it were to use the old format of closed platform simply because the currents ones even Nintendo now just have so much going for them in terms of potential games. An open platform where indie and AAA developers could create games with relative ease compared to the current consoles would be the best it could happen. But even then it would have to be affordable, ease of use, and most importantly desired by a good amount of people. So it could have the first two but the latter is the hardest thing to accomplish.
Really Valve is the only current "gaming" company to be in the position to try since they are making money off every single competitor they have who decides to sell their games on their market. Which includes not only game publishers like Ubisoft, Square, Bethesda, etc but even Sony and Microsoft themselves. And lets not forget about the %10 or whatever off every transaction made in game items like CSGO skins and cards...

Either way it is a good game far better then the colonial marine garbage we were shoveled and it looks amazing. However its not as scary as I prefer, Outlast still tops that list and with the interaction with other people in alien at the beginning plus the crafting system it makes it feel much more like a survival game rather then a survival horror game.
