Where's the dye textures in this thread?
I don't feel like surfing through 100+ pages. :|
BTW, I can't believe this community! Everyone's so awesome and I really wish I could texture like you guys!
Bats-Spawn in caves in jungles in colonies up to 7, sleep upside down, wake up at sunset, feed on cocoa pods during the night, return to same cave at dawn, will wake up if attacked, will not attack player at all, same health as silverfish, drops leather (1-3) when killed, make bat sounds when awake, always fly unless sleeping, not vampire bats, fruit bats, tameable (see next section).
Taming bats-Bats will follow you if you are holding apples, feeding enough apples to a bat, (3-5), will give it a small collar and will follow you. Tame bats don't sleep on a day/night cycle, they are awake only if the light level is 7 or below, if the light level is above 7, you will have to keep waking them up as they will try to find a dark spot, or if outdoors a block which block sunlight (solid block), they will not attack other mobs, but they will keep all hostile mobs away (even ones added by mo' creatures), you can also right-click on a block to tell the bat to sleep there (as long as there is at least one air block underneath the block you want it to sleep on).
