I've downloaded and installed Sildur's Vibrant shaders Pre7.
My Minecraft runs perfectly, very smooth excellent shaders...
I only have one problem : whenever I turn my back to the sun and there a obstacle between the sun/moon and me, the obstacle's shade glitches and flickers.
This gets really annoying after 5 minutes so I try to play with the sun always in my field of view but this challenge is a bit stupid.
My system specs
OS : Windows 8.1 64 bits
CPU : Intel core i5-4430 @ 3.00GHz
GPU : Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 (with the latest driver)
8GB RAM
(Monitor : 1920x1080 AOC 2269WM 60Hz)

Probably it's caused by windows 8.1. Also you shouldn't use the latest nvidia drivers, use 320.49 stable instead. Otherwise you can get some extrem lags with some shaders. If you want we can do some tests on windows 8.1 if you add me in skype. Name is feuerhase-

0.72 works perfectly for 1.6.4. Rubin blocks are finally gone! The current fix for 1.6.2 was placing 2 batteries next to it, this fixed the rubin blocks.
Minecraft decided to redownload every single sound just as I was about to test it, but I don't think it is. Sorry about my choice of words, when I said that I meant it does that coincidentally. I don't think it's caused by DoF. I don't know anything about coding, but my guess is that it has something to do with the sun, it doesn't happen as frequently (and it turns light blue) as night.
EDIT: Yeah, I turned off DOF, and it's noticeably off, but I'm still getting that random flash. For me at least, it appears most often when looking down slightly.

Ever since I went to 1.6.4 your shaders have been absolutely murdering my FPS =/ Dropping to constantly staying below 5 which is really odd since all other shaders work fine and in 1.6.2 yours were the best for me. I use a Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti, on a positive note no crashes at all xD (Latest driver available BTW.. which is usually a good thing..)

I'm getting these, too. I'm on my Windows ATM so I can't check my Mac's specs (The only computer that I have that can play vanilla Minecraft any higher than 20 FPS).
It's really driving me crazy, every time I want to look at something closely it happens.
Did you try disabling DoF? Scroll a bit up to see how you could do it.
So like TrolliMiner and Skikid555 already said my drivers also still crash with the Vibrant pre7 shaders.
I guess the affected graphics cards are the 5xxx and the 6xxx series by AMD. (The 6xxx series has a very similar architecture compared to the 5xxx series)
I have a HD 5750 (like TrolliMiner) running the Catalyst 13.10 driver (TrolliMiner´s card is running 13.11 beta)
And Hushed´s HD 4850 is at least running the shaders without crashing. (-> 4xxx series probably not affected)
you said it is compatible on AMD GRAPHICS which mine are Radeon Graphics, why does my minecraft freeze and not response and a bubble shows up saying AMD driver has stopped working and it is recovered o.O plz help me dood
Could be:
A driver issue. I can't tell you which one you should use.
GLSL mod, version outdated.
Your graphic card is to old, or to different compared to the 7xxx series. Then I can't help you sry. Try to run chocapic's wip 9.2
Maybe AMD cards in Mac's doesn't work, we did not test this.
You're running minecraft on your integrated card (if availble). Instead of the AMD one.
And since I know alot people don't check out the last page, a new preview (Pre7) is released, with improved AMD compatibilty.

I've also added in 3 different "blur" options, one for gaming, for cinematics and tilt shift.
Pre 7 released! Hope it works on all AMD cards, if it doesn't work check out your glsl version and your drivers version. Also read the notes spoiler for reflections.
Hackintosh is a PC (yes a PC) that can run windows, but is made to run MacOSX... Not everyone can do it, but you can...

Well If I want a mac I would do the same. Buying a Pc with the money you would spend on an overpriced mac with a bad hardware actually. For this money you could get a much better PC and install hackintosh on it.
Anyways shaders update with AMD compatibilty comes probaly tommorrow! May including some neat reflections / specular mapping
You may need to update your drivers, heard beta 13.11 increases the frames.
Nivida users should stay at the stable 320.49 drivers.
Also thanks to Synthesizer for kinda moderating this thing here.

EDIT: Woops sry, somehow it was caused by my 1.6.2 world (i'm on 1.6.4 now). My minecraft just crashed everytime I placed a block down.

Sry I meant the new blocks which this mod adds in, like log-fences. It doesn't matter which block I place down, it just crashes.
