posted a message on How can I remove all villages from my Minecraft world

depends if the structure you're copying over uses mods or not. Any custom blocks won't copy over properly unless you have the same mods installed. :)

I use WorldEdit and I'm currently using 1.12.1. Been able to use the schem save method once or twice before, it should work for you too. If not, reply back on this thread and we can see if we can work somethin out for you ^_^

You could easily do this with WorldEdit. You can make a selection around your current structure, //copy and then //schem save mcedit [structure name] (minus the brackets), then create a new superflat world (you can easily grab a custom superflat world from here) and whilst in the new world, do the command //schem load mcedit [structure name] (again, minus the brackets), and then //paste. If it doesn't paste properly, you can easily to //undo and //paste again until it sits properly!

This is the easiest solution I can think of, but I would still make backups just in case you mess up somewhere. Also, I'm pretty sure when you use //copy, it is relevant to where you stand. so you should stand on the ground when you copy and paste. if you copy in the air and paste on the ground, it would be below the surface.

Oh! I'm so stupid. I thought they were just there to tell me what to input.
It worked! So thank you for that. I greatly appreciate it!

Thanks for the reply, this command seems to work better than the last, in regards to how bad the error messages were with the old one vs. yours. lol
So, with this command I get an error saying "invalid sector argument: '-877'", I'm guessing I have to enter negative co-ords a different way?

posted a message on Teleportation with a command block help

Well, I didn't know about command blocks until about 10 minutes ago.. It seems to be the easiest solution to my problem (I want to teleport players who step inside of a small building to be teleported to another part of the map with bigger interiors, like how an RPG would work)
But I can't really figure it out. I obtained a command block, layed it on the ground just after the door (couldn't get a door to sit on the block. Is that a thing?)

I used this command, which sounded like what I needed to do.

Place the following command in a repeating command block set to always active:

    /execute @a[x=a,y=b,z=c,r=d] ~ ~ ~ tp @p e f g

    Where:

    • a, b, and c are the XYZ co-ordinates that you want to teleport players from
    • d is the radius in blocks around that point where players will be selected (min 1)
    • e, f, and g are the XYZ co-ordinates that you want to teleport players to (i.e. the destination)

So just to test it out, I did this ^ command and set the teleport to co-ordinates to somewhere about 500 blocks away. Didn't seem to work. Tried using a pressure pad, that didn't work either. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing here, so any input would be greatly appreciated. I tried reading up about the command blocks in the wiki and it just went straight over my head lmao.

posted a message on I'm creating Pelican Town (Stardew Valley) in Minecraft!

    [snip]
Decided to turn this into a thread to show my progress, enjoy! :P

So, just starting out, I've already blocked out the main farmland and managed to line up the road behind the farmhouse with the road at the bus-stop area (they don't line up square-to-square, unfortunately)
I went with the default wood texture of MC, but felt like I needed to really nail the look of Stardew, so since I'm pretty well versed with Chisel & Bits, I grabbed Flat Coloured Blocks and decided to make some custom designs on the outside of all the wood. I'm still trying to find the right colours though :P

    21/09/17

(ignore all the random mobs lol)

22/09/17 - Here's what I've accomplished so far with C&B, only going into detail with the farmhouse at first as practice and to get comfortable with all the different shades in Flat Coloured Blocks. After I'm done with the farmhouse I'm going to go back to just fleshing out the rest of the town with normal blocks and trying to match up all the maps together. They don't join up properly unfortunately :( Hopefully this map will turn out to be very beautiful. :')

posted a message on 12W22A torch bug.
Besides the lighting bugs everywhere, I found a new bug that includes a torch and a stone block. When the torch is placed on the stone block, it turns to dirt. It was only these two blocks and a few others next to it, but that was it.
