I play Minecraft for the mods and while I appreciate vanilla updates, they are incresingly impairing to the mod community. I like 1.9, but the updates after that are mostly just very forgettable stuff that comes out so rapidly it almost feels like they wanted to slow down the modding community.
I would say most of what Mojang do make Minecraft strictly better, even though I feel like the worldgen has really suffered, but I am not happy with what their updates mean for the modders.

Do I need to make a new account for that?

Well I'd agree that low TPS just makes the game look wrong in general, but the thing was it was impossible for me to propel a piece of TNT, which should work regardless of TPS.

Update: I had render distance at 32 for...reasons. That broke it.

When activated it flashes for a bit then disappears for like 7 seconds and then explodes.
It cannot be pushed around by other TNT.
I somehow find no other reports on this, but what the hell is wrong with the TNT? It's entirely useless like this.
This happened in Singleplayer.

Reminds me of that event where a ball lightning got stuck on a car, that may or may not have happened

Are we back?
If we are back, can anybody tell me how strong exactly mighty monsters are?
I heard horror stories about fully amroured people getting oneshot by mighty zombies, but with my Thaumcraft character that can jump off mountains without really hurting himself I find that hard to imagine.

All I cna say is that some newbie randomly said something like he was happy that it is back and some people may have taken that literally.

So they prevent them from destroying everything by destroying everything?

Back on-topic.
How come normal standardized Thaumaturgy symbol is similar to the symbol of the crimson cult, that is full of forbidden knowledge?
