posted a message on i was thinking about sponsoring somebody server'

If you want to sponsor someone's server then find something you like and use their regular ways of sponsoring them. This doesn't sound trustworthy at all to me not to mention pretty useless. What good will a new server be for someone who already has one?

Also: you give a username / password which is no guarantee that the server doesn't have any backdoors and such. And of course people will have to take your word for all this, which doesn't really mean a lot on the Internet.

If you really want to help someone out then donate to them as specified by that server, otherwise it won't really help anyone out.

    posted a message on Advancement

This isn't possible at this time. If you check the wiki page on advancements (the section about the JSON format) you can see so for yourself. My assumption is that this will become possible in Minecraft 1.13.

(I do realize that this uses observers, which didn't exist when this topic was created)

Nice going! I have to say that although this is the least important aspect of such builds I still think that the observers make it look pretty good. It looks a bit more solid / sterner than your regular screen designs (but then again: that is pretty unimportant with these kinds of builds).

    Quote from JesseMC4060»

This is more or less a theory I have, that the version selection option tab split up, and continues to split up, the Minecraft community.

Options don't split up communities, players / people do. If the option wasn't there you can be sure people would have found other ways.

Also, if you have Optifine enabling "smooth world" (video settings, performance) will unload the spawn chunks so they are not an issue.

That's incorrect. Best it does is spread out the FPS load but it doesn't unload the spawn chunks. Proof of concept is my redstone world. I have this option turned on and had to cope with a contraption which had issues due to chunks unloading as such I moved it onto the spawn chunks. Well, it doesn't matter anymore where I am in the world, I can even be 10k blocks out, but this contraption never unloads.

posted a message on Looking for a mine cart unloader with single-direction of travel, passthrough.
    Quote from LambdaCube»

I'm quite confused about this. It looks like a mine cart that comes out of your unloader will just continue to go around the track in a circle and never enter the unloader again.

Correct, this was just a test setup I made a few months ago and is not fully related to your issue. But it can be easily adjusted. Make sure that the switch is set to 'forward' in its default state (so it passes carts), then place an activator rail before it. That will force the switch to change, thus moving the cart into the unloader. When the cart has passed the activator rail will turn off and the switch is set back to normal, so the cart will continue onto the same route.

But isn't that what you wanted? They won't move. And when a player hits them you simply reset the NoAI flag.

posted a message on Images like on minecraft.net

    I'm out.

First it's pictures, then how to make pictures, then how the shaders on the pictures work. Not getting into this further because I can't help think that we'll get "I meant how to make those shaders" next. Think before posting.

3D software. A very simplistic (but IMO still legit) example would be Mine-Imator that allows you to easily create Minecraft sceneries which can then be used for screenshots. Of course it can also animate stuff, but that's a different story. I'm more of a fan of regular 3D software such as Daz Studio (freemium, so fully free to try and use), but the possible downside to that is that it'll be much harder to use for Minecraft stuff.

Still, jMC2OBJ could be an interesting place to start, together with this link:

    So basically: 3D software.

I just want know how to make images like on Minecraft official site (minecraft.net) or what is the name of these type of images ;)

Considering the massive amounts of pictures they're using your question is a bit too broad to answer. I also can't help wonder what this has to do with the Minecraft Java edition ;)

If you mean the whole list of images, that looks pretty simple to me: just images with a rollover (Javascript) function. So: a mixture between CSS and Javascript. Most browsers can view the webpage sourcecode, start there.

posted a message on Tezuni's Zombie Escape

I don't remember it and considering the very few Google responses I also sincerely doubt its still up. It seems to be called ""Tezuni's zombie server", at least that's the name I managed to find in a Google result. Only the Google result mentioned it (someone saying they played it), but the site it pointed to turned out to be dead.

posted a message on I need help detecting if a player has a crafting table in their inventory.

This is probably much easier to accomplish with advancements. Just set up an advancement which checks for changed inventories and then make it execute a function. The function then replaces the crafting table with the 'right' one. Doing it like this will even spice up your level a little bit because it'll make finding the crafting table a lot more special.

posted a message on scoreboard area

Not possible, there's only one scoreboard for the entire game.

However, you can easily work around this if you need to by simply checking if a player has entered a certain area and then changing their scoreboard accordingly.

posted a message on Looking for a mine cart unloader with single-direction of travel, passthrough.

I can't help wonder if you don't have a design flaw on your hands, because.. well, see my attachment. An unloader I made some weeks ago. The only reason its 2 blocks out and not one is because the lever would interfere with the hopper next to it. But I never had issues with comparators which didn't pick up the signal in time.
