    To give more of the "oh, redstone :D" feeling while mining, instead of "oh, redstone :/" Considering that in late game gold and iron can be farmed throught mob farms, he wanted to keep this sensation for another ore different from diamonds.

    @everyone being annoying over the essentia labels.

    We get it. Now stop. You have expressed what you want, and further discussion is useless. It's Azanor's decision, if he wants to revert it it will, else you can go play another mod basically.

    I actually like it, it helps to break up the monotony of a big row of jars, and it gives a more "human" feeling to steve.

    About the simmetry of the ruinc altar, I thought that it was circular (you draw a circle with the centre on the runic matrix that passes from the point that you want, than consider the diameter that passes from said point, and the other intersection is the symmetrical point).

    On the size of the area of effect, I know that's pretty big, but I have no idea if it is a perfect cube or what, and the precise numbers.

    This seems a LITTLE convoluted and difficult and in no way superior to regular enchanting.

    You forgot the part where you can get 238 cobwebs from said shears, and therefore 237 guaranteed silk touch enchants plus another pair of shears. So underpowered /sarcasm

    Oh, god spare me, I hope that Azanor is still doing Thaumcraft for its own enjoyment and not "to get it big". If you want to make a good game or a mod, you make something you like, and you value input from the people that share your same vision, and accept that not everyone enjoys what you do. If you want to go big and make something that everyone can enjoy and play to be big, in the end you won't please anyone, especially yourself.

    Especially for a free mod, I'd say ­to hell with the new players, Azanor isn't one, and he shoud focus on fixing what he feels off.

    Personally I never thought that reserch was random, I always got waht I wanted, and the system is sure much more enjoyable and rewarding than a "click to get the research you want" approach.

    Also, you can easly overcome the "tools breaking fast" thing after the first few day simply by sacrificing inventory space. I always bring 8 or more copy of the main tool type I need (axes for surface exploring and picks for underground) plus 4 to 6 shovels. They pretty much are equivalent to a vanillla tool, and last long enough to finish the trip.

    Oh, wow, you're really an evil mastermind. The NWO is nothing compared to your shady scheming!

    BTW, I'm digging the last updates to exploration for late game, it gives a great incentives to go in jungles while searching for a village. I usually avoided them completely because there were no rewards for the 8-legged risks involved.

    Optifine or MCPatcher tranparent water has the side effect of turning underwater dirt to grass. I guess Poersch can add grass to the list of reed spawning capable blocks, and you can turn it off for now.

    Also about the magical forest biome, the blue color made the silverwood less "special" since all the trees were blue. With the green, the silverwoods now stand out again from the crowd.
