I keep getting kicked from my server due to "Timed Out"...and server and client are on same machine connected via LocalHost. And the only thing i can find online is that some of the plugins i use are outdated, but the only ones i have are the ones for CraftingAzeroth.

Is it possible the server is getting spammed with block updates and lagging behind? The purpose of CA-Static was to stop that from happening, but if it isn't working correctly (either because it's not installed properly, or because I need to update it) then it might cause lag. I don't know if that's what's causing your problem though.

I wish Minecraft had better options to prevent out-of-control block updates. Like a "don't change anything" game rule or something. That would simplify things quite a bit.

    Hey,

will you include the missing parts of the map? I'm thinking of the peak of Icecrown Citadel and nearly the whole Nordrassil. On the overview you can see, that there should be one more height layer.

Or aren't you working on this project anymore?

Those portions of the map are not a very high priority. It would take more than one altitude layer to include the top of Nordrassil, and it would be just leaves and wood. It would also make exploring Nordrassil summit more difficult, since you would get teleported to the next layer a lot sooner. The peak in Icecrown is more reasonable but it's still a very small portion of the map. I might do these at some point but don't count on it any time soon.

My work on the project is currently suspended. I'm working a full-time job over the summer, and in the fall I will need to complete my thesis while working as a teaching assistant. I also try to have a social life outside work and school, which cuts into my time even more.

I may resume work when more time opens up. If I do, I will probably focus on rendering Pandaria or Draenor, whichever seems more convenient. Only after they are finished will I consider going back and modifying the original continents.

When i download the map and put the folder into my saves folder and lognto the world i spawn in the void and can't do anything please help me!

Try using the /tp commands listed in the readme. You may be somewhere off the map.

Nice Work ! But I have problem I was spawned near Dark Portal in Outland ... How Can I go to Kalimdor or Eastern Kingdoms ?

If the plugins are installed the dark portal should teleport you. If not, you can use the /tp command with some of the coordinates in the readme.

Hello Rumsey! I downloaded the world of minecraft server and I used it. But I noticed that the generation is wrong. I would like to ask why there are two worlds on 1 map and why they are cut apart the counties in some places. It is very confusing because i havent 1 normaly, full map, only two defective. You could do that to a normal one?

There is a separate version of Stormwind that is rotated 45 degrees from the rest of the world. This was done because Stormwind's buildings are positioned at an odd angle and do not render well in Minecraft unless rotated. That is the part of the map that is "cut apart", as you say. If you install the bukkit plugins mentioned in the readme, it should automatically teleport you between these two areas.

Aside from Stormwind, the rest of the world should be contiguous.

Hi Rumsey you have done a great job on this project but I have a question. Can you please do the same as you did on the Ca static.
I mean can you do so you only get teleported to another layer in the craftingazeroth so that it not affect other worlds. then I'm in my survival world on my private server I get teleported then I fly up too high or if I dig down some blocks. So my question is can you make a new update on the teleport plugin you made? :)
I'm using multiverse and I think some people should like this if you did. :)

Does anyone know how to make it so blocks drop when you destroy them and how to take away the item pallet from everyone? I wanted to run this map like a regular server pretty much, but I couldn't figure which server settings were causing it. Spent hours. :/

I can't tell, but are you asking how to change the server from creative to survival?

Someone asked me to modify CA-Static so it would only affect the Crafting Azeroth map. I made a separate version that checks the world name before blocking events. If you want, you can download that version here.

please, i really want to enter the server, you changed the ip?

The server is down indefinitely. It was hosted by cursecraft but was taken offline a few weeks ago. I don't have another host at the moment and since there's not a huge demand for it I don't know when it will be going back online.

Anyone can host their own copy of the map, however. For example, there is an unofficial server here:

Will you be replacing the Netherrack with the new block Granite when minecraft 1.8 comes out. I think Granite will make a good replacement. If you don't know about the block here is a screenshot, the red one is the granite:

I don't have any plans to re-generate the map using granite, but if I do more stuff in the future I might use granite somewhere.

Some areas might look good with it, e.g. redridge mountains. However, something like that could probably be done with find/replace in MCEdit, and not require re-generating the map.

First off, amazing work.I'm really enjoying this map.
One thing I have noticed, when traveling into Stormwind while riding a horse one does not teleport. Instead you end up in a bazaaro Stormwind. I know the reason for this. My question is is this going to be fixed. As it is a major hindrance to survival and rpg servers.
Again, thank you for the time you spent on this, truly.

I have no immediate plans to rewrite the teleport plugin to teleport horse/boats, but it's something I may consider in the future. In the meantime, you can disable the Stormwind teleport by modifying one line in the "plugins\CA-Teleport\config.yml" file. Just change 'true' to 'false'.

If you know someone who is comfortable with Java though, the plugin is open source.

    Rumsy,
In your screenshots of Eversong Woods and Azshara The leaves and the Trees have a different colour.
How did you manage to do that? It looks really good and fitting :D

If you correctly setup the server as described in the readme file, you should see the colors automatically. The default server.properties file contains this line linking to the appropriate texture pack:

    resource-pack=http\://rakama.github.io/map/CA-TreeColors.zip

You can also download the pack manually from here.

I'm sorry your right haha, I apperently had the wrong map file installed.
I still have a question though, Thousend Neeldes still has some netherrack boulders. Is it supposed to be like that?

Netherrack still appears in some places. I only used stained clay in areas where I thought worked well and stuck with netherrack for the rest. In most places the stained clay looks too smooth and doesn't look like a natural rock surface.

Question for Rumsey: You have made this map when a lot of minecraft blocks weren't yet implemented, importent blocks such as hardened clay blocks. Alot of canyons and such are made by nether rack block and that looks really ugly.
Are you planning on redoing it? I understand its of course a lot of work to do something like that, but ye that was my question.

I hope you do remake it though.

Did you even look at the new version of the map?
