I'm not trying to promote the Church of Notch, but what you are saying is way out of line. This kind of blatant hate mongering speech is not helpful in promoting a healthy discussion at all. And by the look of things you seem to have a lot of pent up frustration, rage and misconceptions about religion. Maybe you need to accept the Love of Notch into your heart. Or at least have a level headed discussion with a Notchling.
Mostly the religious ones are kids who don't know any better. Hopefully as they get older, they will realize he is a developer; not the second coming of Christ.

I understand you have the right to say what you believe, but many may consider this a very blasphemous statement. Just try and be more sensitive towards the religious beliefs of others. You choose to believe in Pistons, and others believe in Notch.
I stand ready at the entrance, gazing into the dark depths, the movement inside tells me it's full of evil. I take out my iron sword as the creepy cave ambiance plays, leaping into the cave and plunging my sword into the first creature stupid enought to be closest to me.
Interesting idea, but how often and/or where would this biome occur? Would multiple arctic biomes be a possibility?
On another note, to add to the realism, the day/night cycles could be altered in the arctic, as in longer daytime. This would lead to less mobs spawning, but perhaps the mobs that do spawn could be the rarest of the rare?

I don't think this is a ridiculous idea at all. Not completely necessary, but maybe just for shits and giggles. It obviously wouldn't look pretty, but none of the character animations do so far.
Well you're gonna have to beat the eggs first before they're scrambled! One more step in the recipe I know but it's absolutely essential, you can't just stick it in the furnace! Just drop the yoke on the ground and whack it with a sword a few times. Then throw it in the furnace.
And what about omelets? Or just simple fried eggs? The possibilities are endless!
You should be able to wrap up the white elephants in some way and bring them to a gift exchange.
But in all seriousness, I think this is a cool idea. And once you tame an elephant, you should never be able to get lost again, as Elephants are known for their impeccable memory. In addition, what would spawn in snowy or tundra biomes? The Mighty Mammoth perhaps?
There is a simpler way. You need to craft a time machine, go back in time to the point just after you destroyed your treasure chest and retrieve the items. Here is the recipe for a time machine:
Get your game running at 88 fps and right click while you have it equipped to travel back. The only forseeable issue will be that you may encounter your past self and initiate a time paradox. If this does happen your entire minecraft folder will become corrupted and crash your computer, and as of now there is no knowable means of fixing it after this occurs. For this reason, take the utmost precaution when using the time machine.
