posted a message on Colored Glass and Colored Light! (originally Just the 'Colored Glass!' topic but Mojang added our idea! :D Congrats everyone!)
What I find so interesting about this suggestion is how the glass is made with the cauldron. We'll finally have a reason to make one, and I'll have a reason for using piston trains to ship the stuff to other bases.

Seriously man? As if all of the other nonsense wasn't good enough. "Minecraft 1.5 Update just for map makers!" Light sensors were perfectly build able with a little redstone and pistons, mobs riding mobs is perfectly achievable via single player commands. Somehow the additions that are added to the game are starting to become a dine a dozen in comparison to having almost every feature be gold.

One of my old and probably dead map projects (M.O.S.S.) is full of redstone bosses to fight (Based off of the bosses Disco Made). I was wondering if you might be interesting in looking at them and adding the bosses or concepts of them into the dungeons.
    Here's a few screenshots.

I'm not sure if you want more info on them or a testing map with them If you do feel free to ask. Not sure about using these for the contest either.

Not to bump up an old thread, but anyway, here's my biggest complaint:

They're not technically "creepypasta". They're just creepy stories written from the perspective of a character in a game, which makes it more of a fanfiction. A creepypasta (or at least a good one) is usually along the lines of an urban legend, sort of like "some weird thing in the game happened" or like "some crazy theory of why something in the game is like it is". In other words, something that could maybe happen to you. And then the next time you play that game you feel like "oh snap, hope that spooky herobrine don't get me" or whatever.

Best examples of good creepypasta would be the original BEN Drowned, Pokémon Black, Lavender Town Missing Frequencies, Lost Silver, Fallout 2 Defunct Vault, The Theater, Action Man: Mission eXtreme, Pokémon Over Analyzed, the list goes on.

Anyway, you don't really have to take my advice, though it would be nice if maybe you could at least call them creepy fanfictions instead of creepypasta.

You have a good point. I guess I was drawing my inspiration from stories which had the first person perspective and thought "why not another minecraft one" Anyway's thanks for the help. For everyone else I'll take your considerations regarding the netherrack (eating it) and go back to the drawing board.

That was literally so bad that I cried.

I'm sorry to hear you didn't like either of the short stories, if you have any improvements you can post them.

What happens if you eat the netherrack?
I might have to add that in. I'm assuming it's like rotten flesh but worse. Maybe immediate death or eight minutes of poison.

Prior to it's current topic title, I labeled the following as creepypasta stories. Sadly they need a lot more development before they become any kind of story.
If you have ideas/ improvements go ahead and post them (i'll give you credit :3)
    Netherrack:

You do know why it's so abundant when you go there right? I mean you understand why the nether has so much of this easily harvested blood soaked stone, right? That's because they want you to take it home. As soon as it's placed they will come crawling out of it and begin to take over your world just as they did the nether.
First they will go for the dirt, the grass, stone, cobblestone, ores, artificial structures and so on. After such resources are harvested they will start to heat up the water and evaporate it away. This gives them space to heat up the remaining stone, all of the lava that results is very much needed as they will need a very big furnace for this next step. They don't like to "consume" living entities; sheep, cows, pigs, zombies, creepers and so on. They've all gatta go somewhere, and so they do. Either into smoke or into one cubed meter of compacted flesh, organs, bone and meat. For those who show to be a trouble to them, when (that is if they aren't incinerated in the first place) compacted will be ignited to burn for eternity.

    VOID:
I've done it, the black abyss now has opened it's weary eyes to see the existence beyond bedrock.
    They see me.

I would love to have alternate textures for the coral mod. I like the mod itself, but the textures are kind of...... ugly. I'd just do it myself but I'm too lazy.

I finished the textures a while ago. I'll put them up for download.

I'm going to take a bit of code from the chest minecart, boat, airship and so on to Frenkenstien myself an airship. It won't be pretty and maybe not as functional and might be dependent on the core code of the game which is a major step back on this mod. o.o It's all I can do with my amount of experience and time. After that version is done I'll work on building it up to what it is now.
    Quote from kamakazeishbear

any idea if you will be able to run it as SMP?

That might be far in the future friend o.o I'm really a beginner at coding. Let's see where I'll be after jumpstarting the SSP

I would love to use this mod! Richkoomba, there are people out there saying you are struggling, but I'm sure you are doing great. Don't give up!

Thanks :3 Remember that Shultzy and CuZnDragon deserve credit as well. I really wouldn't be as far as I am without those two. (Thanks you two!)

thats good to hear, do you know anyone who has updated it to 1.4.5 yet?

We're having trouble with the rendering of the airship. The usual result is just the smoke showing up. We are working on it.

I hate to ask all the people working on a version but is it possible to rewrite the whole coding?

That is what i'm attempting to do. I'll need some serious time for it though

    Quote from Shultzy1109

I have gotten the mod to run in 1.4.2, it crashes when I place the ship in the world. But its only a matter of updating the render code.

And in there is where the problem is. Back in 1.3.2 i was using forge. When in use, forges modloader pointed out a line that goes something like (motion x motion y motion z) and is the 63rd line of possibly the steamFX. When i deleted the line of coding it seemed to stop the crashing. I hope this helped.

Why not just have a cat guard the place?

True, that could work too. I just don't like the idea of hearing a random "meow" when walking through a map. Do whatever works for you.

Just a friendly and random reminder than when making a map that includes the possibility of dark spots and monsters to go the extra mile and make sure any sensitive spots like redstone contraptions and one-block thick hallways have an extra layer or two of material to make sure the map doesn't go sour due to those green exploding monsters. I decided to post this because the creeper is sometimes left out of the equation and can later cause destruction to areas which are not meant to have harm done to them. So remember, creeper proof your map!
