would you bee annoyed if some fans of this mod when it is updated to 1.10.2 reverse engineer this mod to bring the updates to 1.7.10 (I don't plan on doing it just wondering) since there are probably many people who spent weeks of time making what they consider to be the best mod pack possible?

There is no point in reverse engineering it. It's open source and has been for years. Just submit pull requests to the 1.7.10 repo and I'll validated them. So, to answer your question, yes, yes I would be very annoyed. It is not a difficult task for people to contribute to an open source project.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how annoyed would you be if I started a veeeeeeeeery small mod inspired by Prometheus and Alien: Covenant?

Rather, how annoyed would you be if I were halfway through it and already had several features similar, but not too similar, to your mod, including Paradise, Engineer Ships, and maybe LV-223 if I get around to it?

I mean, yes, it isn't exactly wise to do what I'm doing, but it took me an entire dimension to realize that I may be intruding on someone's territory a little.

Okay, maybe more than a little.

On the plus side it may never be released publicly, instead being used by server friends of mine.

So, erm, here's a screenshot of what's in it, so you can get an idea of how much you hate me.

    10. Why would you even bother creating your own mod if one already exists that plans to implement all of the things you plan on implementing in your own, especially if we have the experience and resources necessary to do it better than you could on your own. Rather contribute to this mod, as it is and has been an open community project for quite some time.

WAIT! before you update it away from 1.7.10 can you add Engineer Armor, please.

I've been working on the 1.10.2 port for about 4 months, it's too late to add and include, though once I add it in 1.10.2 I may consider adding it in 1.7.10.

Can I review the 1.10.2 version early....Please, at least the things that are finished I just want people get more hyped for the mod made by YOU

There's no point in reviewing an unfinished product. Most things are still broken, and it would only make the mod look bad.

options.txt is not from optifine. optionsof.txt are from optifine

If you didn't already notice. I was already corrected.

Ri5ux I tried running Minecraft with no resourcepacks in the folder, but the same problem persisted.

Have you updated your graphics drivers recently? They may be out of date. Drivers can certainly be a cause of this. Another cause if you're running the game on integrated graphics: if your system is out of RAM, then the GPU cannot allocate enough VRAM to the game, and thus cause the provided error.

Maybe you could try using a different launcher such as MultiMC.

    http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Options.txt
Incorrect. options.txt exists even if you are using unmodified Minecraft. This is where Minecraft keeps all of the settings. It seems like when OP deleted his .minecraft folder, his game crashed before it could create an options.txt file.

My bad, you're right. I was mistaken with the Optifine variant. Also, this wouldn't be related to the launcher. The game would work on the launcher provided by Mojang regardless.

theishiopian I already tried that, it didn't work

Did you completely remove the resource packs in .minecraft/resourcepacks?

List your system specs so we have a good idea of what we're working with.

It's right in .minecraft. If you don't believe me, type in FIle Explorer: "%AppData%\.minecraft\options.txt" and it will open right up.

options.txt is the configuration for Optifine and it will not exist if Optifine is not installed.

EDIT: I was already corrected. I was confused with optionsof.txt.

Sounds like your GPU just can't handle textures that large. I would definitely try a lower resolution texture pack or none at all. Remove it from the resourcepacks directory and see if that fixes it.

That means you need to install MDX, just as the installation instructions suggest. It can be downloaded from the same location you downloaded the AVP mod.

Update Progress: Last night the processor in my desktop died. As a result, I now have to order a new one to continue using my desktop. This will delay the 1.10 update, as all of my progress is on the same machine. I will post again once I determine how long this is going to set the update back.

    Technical Information

The CPU was an Intel Core i7 5820K. It was overclocked to 4.3GHz and stable for a year or more. 3 days ago I overclocked it further, in a way that was in no way safe to operate for an extended period. I did this, ran a benchmark, restarted it, reset all the settings back to the way they were, saved, and shut down the computer. Brought it to my friend's place, started it up, noticed it had trouble starting up the first time, and didnt think anything of it. Rebooted it, and it started up fine. Left it running two days, started up a game at the end of the second day, played for a bit, the game crashed. Tried again, the game crashed. Went into the BIOS to find that the unstable overclock settings were somehow back. When I brought my machine back home, I tested my CPU in another motherboard to rule out motherboard damage and the problems persisted. I now find myself struggling to round up $400 for a new processor.

I would pull my drives out and use them in another machine until I get a new processor, but that would do no good as the 1.10 update repository is stored on my primary drive, which is of M.2 form factor. I have no spare machines with M.2 compatibility.
