... and if one powder works... can we have other powders work too? yes this might mean weird facts like redstone trees [outputs red-stone signal] or even ender trees [chance of enderpearls dropping like apples?] and arrows [ender arrows for more accurate teleporting]
In addition... are these trees sustainable? make 1 infused sapling & harvest for infinitely more or are they sterile after the infusion [no more saplings]

Who could stake claim to know all the history that his man has had his hand in shifting, no man, not even himself for the majority of his years he had spent his time farming and building infrastructure for other greater lords that flung their armies against each other. His home was of spruce and birch, his tools both wood and stone, his bed 2 wool blocks and 3 planks. A hard life, but one that made him stronger. Under the rule of Sanguine, the third great king of SW he rose up and took a seat as the head farmer. As foreman of a large operation he was also charged with taking up arms and fending off the beasts that should threaten his fellow workers thus he became strong. Regardless of the fact that he was competent in combat, as his eyes lent him skill enough with a bow and his wit allowed him to out maneuver some better equipped opponents his mind turned to figuring out magic as the world around him began to crumble, deeper he delved until one day, the server just did not rise with the dawn.. no one was about and he was forced to leave his now well decorated dwelling. A brother separated by time but not by spirit, Gritious Fletcher is a close cousin to Redforest and holds the notion that he must help out this brave leader in order to find his place along side his fearless leader. The fact is, Gritious never has managed to go on any adventure before now, as a rule of thumb support roles were his, keeping the camp fire going, watching out for bandits but never did he get in combat. Though a support role is his, this does not mean he is helpless as PvE is a good chunk of his combat experience as he knows how to handle spiders, creepers and zombies fairly well.

Before the destruction of the worlds, Redin returns once again to stake a claim in another group. His hope, to become a notably wealthy farmer or some noble to simply relax in a seat of power. As he ages his energy dwindles... Sadly this means he has less time each day to do anything. At least he hope to be able to do more with less as years of experience will aid his weakened state and hopefully supplement his deficits. But for now, he walks the land hoping to soon arrive at his new lord's kingdom.

(Please No dead / missing parents) Born from a long forgotten line of nobles on a island chain built up but aging into dust. The old outnumbered the young and the land was turning to rubble, this was not a place that would long survive and so he was sent away with what skills the elders of the tribe could bestow. Once learned and mostly grown, he was sent away to hone his skills and possibly to come back one day and restore his land.
He has always had a knack for building his home up well and likes to keep the land about him healthy. After growing up, he learned all the trades he could from the locals, such as archery and basic swordsmanship along with the gathering of resources from the earth and the basics of farming and even a tad of the dark alchemy. After tasking himself in all areas and gaining general mastery he found that adventure was not his place and that he would only be happy with his own city, so he set fourth to find his place in the world.
To cut to the chase, magic and the like are not being accepted at this time. Alchemist is there for not on the table. I wish the OP had this information. btw, Gaian ftw.
