posted a message on 🌲🍂 Town of Redwood | SMP Seeking Staff!

Greetings! I present to you a long-term project I have been working on, Redwood! Redwood is a semi-realistic fictional town that features a number of welcoming neighborhoods and many unique shops and businesses that can be interacted with. The plan is to eventually turn the map into a friendly community of Redwood citizens!

I am currently seeking staff/helpers (volunteer based) to join me in this project. There are several roles available and any help would be appreciated! 🧡

    • Town Planner: Assists with map planning & roadmapping
    • Editor: A World Edit expert
    • Builder: Helps to build places in town (businesses, homes, etc)
    • Nature Buddy: Assists with landscaping & making stuff beautiful
    • Farmer: Assists with creating/managing farms
    • Moderator: Helps to ensure that everything is running nicely
    • You can partake in more than one role if desired!

Redwood's website can be found here. 🍂 There, you will find the application form (under Join). The map does utilize a number of mods, which are all listed on the website. I do have a modpack available to make life a lot easier! There is also a Discord server in development that will be used for staff & the server. 🧡 Feel free to apply if interested! I'd appreciate any assistance. I am not the greatest builder in the world and am not seeking the best of the best. In fact, the buildings that have been built thus far are fairly simple and it's totally fine with me if someone's builds are similar. So far, it's just me and a couple of other people, so as I mentioned, any help is much appreciated. 🍂 My discord is klu44.

I will include photos of just some of the places I have built thus far as well as a glimpse into the large map layout.
I tried uploading them here but it wasn't working, so here you go! https://imgur.com/a/Po5ay2W

posted a message on Dayton Valley | A Vanilla Minecraft Town (Teens & Children)

    [Status: Not Accepting players]

    Hello, fellow Minecraft players!

My name is Kiana, I'm an 18 year old YouTuber!

For about an entire year, I have been working on a secret project for my Realm that I didn't even tell any of my subscribers about. I put a lot of hard work and time into it, and I'm so happy that is finished enough to be released to the public. I built... a functional town!

    Welcome to Dayton Valley

Dayton Valley is a mostly functional town on a vanilla, survival Realm where "citizens" can purchase homes, go shopping, get a small job or two, explore the world, and most of all--have fun! (Us users on the Realm like to teleport to cool random locations and jump off cliffs from time to time :P)

The town is fairly medium I would say. Not too small but not too big.

*It is a work in progress.*

I am not the best at building but I really tried. The town is not perfect but I've worked so hard on it and if I'm happy and proud of how it turned out, I would hope that anyone joining in would appreciate it too, right? My goal is to over time expand it to be as big as it can be! It's just done for now.

    Important Stuff:

⦁ Open to preferably teens & younger.

⦁ Most of my subscribers & folks who play on the Realm are teens & children maybe 11+.
⦁ However, I can make an exception if you REALLY still want to play on the Realm.

⦁ Realm is set up on the newest version of MC -- always.

⦁ Realm is only available for PC users (not Win 10 or mobile users)

    ⦁ Serious players only.

⦁ Do NOT join the Realm if you're into griefing/aren't going to play often at all/etc.

⦁ PVP is turned off for now.

⦁ It just isn't a good fit for my Realm. We're a community on the Realm. Not enemies.

    SCREENSHOTS BELOW

These are only a fraction of what there is to see on the Realm!

The Realm was open for awhile before I even started building the town, so there's a few bases my subscribers/Realm players built, scattered around the areas outside of the town.

And the town is only going to get bigger and bigger! I have plans... :steve_csi: I'm already planning the next expansion!

    Joining the Realm:

If you're able to ignore my bad building skills  and are interesting in joining the Realm/town, feel free to comment below...:

    ⦁ Your IGN

    ⦁ Your age

⦁ How often you think you could/would play each week

⦁ I need to know this since only 10 players can play on the Realm at a time. It wouldn't be cool if too many players were wanting to play on the Realm at one time obviously. A point will come where I may have to stop incoming applications, but I will open it up soon after! ^_^

Realm opens again in the afternoon on Monday, March 13th! I will send out invitations about 10 minutes before it opens.

I want to thank the creators of the MC Maps

    "Greenfield"

Credit to THEJESTR & all of the wonderful builders who worked on their map!

Both maps provided lots of inspiration and motivation when building this small but growing town.

I also borrowed some homes & lots from those maps because they're so fantastic!

    Yes, Greymagic27 is right.

Just use the /gamemode commands to change that.
I do it all the time, and it doesn't change the game mode for any other user. :YFlower:

posted a message on Realm Disappear?

Out of personal experience, I would say no.

I have a Realm that I haven't renewed in months. I think the last time it was running was in June.

When I click the "Realms" option on the main menu, I still see that Realm listed even though it's not running at the moment.

Of course, you won't be able to actually play on it until you renew the subscription again, but it won't dissapear completely. :)

posted a message on Does Realms reset any commands?*

Okay so I've been controlling a Realms server for some time now and I've been working on a small project in the server offline in single player mode

(so the Realm is currently closed). I noticed in the past that when moving a MC world from for example, single player mode to Realms, any commands that I had typed into the game before transfering, are gone.

    For example,

If I type in the command "/gamerule mobGriefing false" while in single player mode and then transfer my world to Realms, I notice that the gamerule for mob griefing is set back to default (true). It seems that Realms sort of does an "undo" on any commands I had set before. I'm pretty sure it's probably supposed to do that, but is there any possible way to stop that? My main concern is actually placing the custom heads into the game. I'm using the minecraft-heads.com database to add heads into the game as decor but I'm concerned that after entering the required commands for those into a command block (as the instructions say to do), when I eventually transfer the world into Realms all of the heads I placed will be gone.

I may seem like such a noob right now, but I could use the help.

posted a message on Would this computer run MC alright?

I don't play very many games other than Minecraft (mainly the Sims series and a few other non-intensive games), and I'm trying to get a new cheap desktop computer. My current laptop is not really meant for gaming and so anything would be a step up for me :P I'm not looking for the best of the best. Just something better than what I have. I found this computer here which is actually pretty cheap for what it gives. My only issue with it is the graphics card. I previously found a different computer which I was actually considering for a while, but I was wanting a better processor if I could (at least an i5 or so). I figured I would get the new one I found and instead, swap its graphics card with a GTX 750 Ti I found for pretty cheap. (Same kind on the original chosen computer).

I just want to make sure however that the graphics card I want to switch with the other is actually compatible/would fit in that computer.

*And I'm aware that I could build my own custom PC, but that's not in my budget or time right now. Definitely in the future though!

Sorry to hear that! Is the correct account selected? On whatever account that minecraft was purchased on/for should allow you to play the full game. If you have more than one account you should check this to make sure. Sorry if you already knew this and I wasn't very helpful

Hm... I believe this is usually an internet issue. One of those icons in the bottom right corner of the screen I believe has to do with the internet. Are you connected to it?

posted a message on Is this desktop decent for Minecraft?

    Link: Desktop

I'm looking for an inexpensive new computer that could run MC on decent settings. I've been playing MC on a PC with an Intel i3 processor at one point and then starting playing on a cheap PC with an AMD-A8 processor and some integerated graphics, so to me, any computer out of the 2 below would work for me. I'm not a "hard-core gamer". At all. I only play MC, the Sims series, and a few other non-intensive games. I'm not looking for the best of the best, I just want something better than what I have now. I looked at videos on YouTube/did some research of other's experience playing MC with simular specs or somewhat similar specs, and the results seem fine to me but I just want some final opions. I'm aware that I could build my own desktop, but it's not my money and I just want something simple.
